The Luftwaffe grossly underestimated the RAF, the usefulness of radar, we had several advantages over the Luftwaffe, Hitler switching to the bombing of cities was just another of his greatest mistakes giving the RAF time to regroup, that doesn't alter the fact that the Luftwaffe lost more planes than the RAF denying Hitler the air superiority he needed to invade

@tobi25586 Yes alone, Britain asked for lots but got very little, lend lease wasn't in effect for the entire time alone, and how much of that ended up at the bottom of the Atlantic. Yeah we did out number them, Monty deliberately didn't attack until he had superiority in men and equipment, El Alamein was a battle of attrition which we could afford to suffer the casualties. The Operation Torch landings (an Anglo/American force btw) took place days after the victory at Alamein.

Subordinate units came from Australia, British India, Canada, Free French Forces, Greece, New Zealand, Poland, Rhodesia, South Africa and the United Kingdom ;) the germans had better tanks in North Africa but they were lacking fuel,... in my opinion the only thing that saved Britain during WW2 was the English Channel...

The US and the UK were both worthy contributors and did their countries proud. As did all the allied forces (Don't forget us in Australia :) ) The UK were involved from the beginning and Churchill was doing everything he could to have the US join the war because of the massive difference they could make. It wasn't a great victory, it was just a victory. A great victory would not have been one achieved through war but political diplomacy that would have stopped the war before it began, such as no reparations for WW1 and other agreements that would have never made German people turn to the religious right wing National Socialists, which would have also kept Poland free, and kept the Soviets far behind the west technologically. This war changed the world, for better (NATO, EU) and worst (cold war).

If the British had done the Normady landings alone they would have all been slaughtered.

The US even sent a ship over to pick up all our gold reserves. Even in 1941 lend-lease amounted to only 1% of Britains war effort. It wasn't until we'd been bled dry that lend-lease started and then it was as much for the benefit of the US as it was for us. I won't even go into what Britain gave up as part of the lend-lease agreements. You know nothing.

It was British naval dominance, airpower (from 1943), but above all British intelligence (e.g. via "Enigma") and reconnaissance that enabled the war to end in 1945. American intelligence or penetration into German secrets was far inferior. In activity, the Americans did little more than bomb a helpless Germany to smithereens.

What I have heard, there are many versions of the Mein Kampf and you should get the version what has been translated accurately and closest to the original version.

@RAMB0IV The Leuchter paper was discredited, as was "Did Six Million Really Die?" The only other paper I can find is heavily biased, has not been peer reviewed, and has also been completely discredited. (Journal of Historical Review).
I am a rationalist, I accept what the evidence shows, I accept the Theory of Evolution, I don't believe in God, and I accept that the Holocaust happened. All three of these positions share two things in common, there is strong evidence for them, and none against.

The Luftwaffe grossly underestimated the RAF, the usefulness of radar, we had several advantages over the Luftwaffe, Hitler switching to the bombing of cities was just another of his greatest mistakes giving the RAF time to regroup, that doesn't alter the fact that the Luftwaffe lost more planes than the RAF denying Hitler the air superiority he needed to invade

@tobi25586 Yes alone, Britain asked for lots but got very little, lend lease wasn't in effect for the entire time alone, and how much of that ended up at the bottom of the Atlantic. Yeah we did out number them, Monty deliberately didn't attack until he had superiority in men and equipment, El Alamein was a battle of attrition which we could afford to suffer the casualties. The Operation Torch landings (an Anglo/American force btw) took place days after the victory at Alamein.

Subordinate units came from Australia, British India, Canada, Free French Forces, Greece, New Zealand, Poland, Rhodesia, South Africa and the United Kingdom ;) the germans had better tanks in North Africa but they were lacking fuel,... in my opinion the only thing that saved Britain during WW2 was the English Channel...

The US and the UK were both worthy contributors and did their countries proud. As did all the allied forces (Don't forget us in Australia :) ) The UK were involved from the beginning and Churchill was doing everything he could to have the US join the war because of the massive difference they could make. It wasn't a great victory, it was just a victory. A great victory would not have been one achieved through war but political diplomacy that would have stopped the war before it began, such as no reparations for WW1 and other agreements that would have never made German people turn to the religious right wing National Socialists, which would have also kept Poland free, and kept the Soviets far behind the west technologically. This war changed the world, for better (NATO, EU) and worst (cold war).

British troops stopped german expansion into the middle east by beating them in eqypt, foguht the japanese in the south pacific (although american likes to ignore this) lead the invasions of sicily, italy and normandy- absorbing the bulk of the panzer divisions at caen.

The Americans had the resources to beat the Nazi's without Britain, all it needed was unlimited resources and unlimited manpower, the manpower from the Soviets and the resources from the US, the UK had nothing to offer but a few surviving men from the BEF. If the British had done the Normady landings alone they would have all been slaughtered.

The US even sent a ship over to pick up all our gold reserves. Even in 1941 lend-lease amounted to only 1% of Britains war effort. It wasn't until we'd been bled dry that lend-lease started and then it was as much for the benefit of the US as it was for us. I won't even go into what Britain gave up as part of the lend-lease agreements. You know nothing.

It was British naval dominance, airpower (from 1943), but above all British intelligence (e.g. via "Enigma") and reconnaissance that enabled the war to end in 1945. American intelligence or penetration into German secrets was far inferior. In activity, the Americans did little more than bomb a helpless Germany to smithereens.
