I think I should have chosen a touring model though, because this type of bikes sacrifice comfort for handling :P. And I prize comfort. Should've gone with a Pan European or something :D. This bike handles like poetry though, and you practically never need to go past 1/4 of it's available rpm even riding fast.. It's a beast of a bike. Careful with the throttle, cause it will easily spin the rear tire on some roads.
Yeah! I get that when I seat in contact with the tank. You have to leave a small gap. If you wear leather riding pants it's not so bad. (at least for me) But this is for my small stature in the 08 fireblade's seat.
If you seat too far from the tank though, it's even worse as you'll kill your spine and neck :P.
I usually came home with a pain on left hand and wrist because of using only 2 fingers on the clutch lever but I've gotten used to use 4 :) riding breaks are key on these bikes :)
The original large honda bike range was designated with the letters CB, followed by engine size, eg: CB 900. I know that the Honda CR-X, a car, was an abbreviation for 'Civic Racing eXperiment', so im certain that the 'R' in CBR would suggest an incline toward racing bikes. A google search found this: Cross-Beam Racing
City Bike Racing
Closed Body Racing
I suppose it depends what CB stood for back in the seventies. Most bike manufacturers use 'R' to suggest racing. And 'S' for sport
Ive owned every bike there is. I recently rode this motorcycle and WOW, it handles like a 600, has so much torque, perfectly balanced... Best bike Ive ridden by far
