People, the movie makers are making this movie more based on the comics, you know his High School years. Toby also said he didn't want to make another because he got injured in the making of the 2nd one.
I am not blind, i can see that there are almost CG or some kind of 3D cartoons styles picture at the end, dont tell me the whole action part is like this, as a video, thats great, but as a movie, thats sucks,i briefly said I AM DISAPPOINTED, whats going on?

@Myoldnamesdontwork I think you just need to keep your mind open TBH. I didn't think that they'd do Two Face in The Dark Knight well at all, but I was pleasantly surprised. And even if you think a character is 'boring' as you say (which personally I disagree with you about. I've always had a soft spot for Doctor Conners, even in the cartoon and the comics) you should still give the film a chance, because you never know what the director/cast are going to do with it.
you have to remember he doesn't stand out alone...he is way too weak for spiderman. he is more of a character from sinister six and they will have to bring in all six of them and guess what we even used octopus already!

Peter and the storylines will be more on the dark side but overall Spider-Man comics were more dark as opposed to light. All real Spidey fans demanded this movie because of how bad Spider-Man 1, 2 and 3 were. Those 3 movies were badly cast, badly acted, badly written, way too campy, too childish, featured terrible CGI, and were very inaccurate to the comics.
The only people that liked those 3 terrible movies were clueless little children aged under 12.

Spiderman wasn't a super serious guy. That's why he's popular. All the big name talent pulled out. This guy is overacting in the TRAILER FOOTAGE. He makes Clive Owen seem human. No Danny Elfman?

@jonnydeekay If you check out the newest trailer you will see that Spider-Man is actually the sarcastic hero that we know and love from the comics. Peter and the storylines will be more on the dark side but overall Spider-Man comics were more dark as opposed to light. The darkest of the lot were The Amazing Spider-Man comics, especially during the 1980s.
The Amazing Spider-Man movie is how a Spider-Man movie should be done.

- a new and much better cast
- Peter/Spidey will thankfully be portrayed correctly this time and Andrew Garfield looks just like Peter
- the story of Peter's parents will feature
- MJ will not be involved as instead Gwen Stacy will be Peter's love interest (she was his first true love in the comics)
- the villain is The Lizard
- the movie is darker, mature and much more accurate to the comics

There is also nothing emo about this trailer and you saying that there suggests to me that you have no idea what emo is. If you want something emo then I suggest you check out Spider-Man 3. Tobey's version of Peter in that movie was very emo.

@incinerator1016 For your information, Andrew Garfield is actually the perfect choice to play Peter Parker/Spider-Man and all real Spider-Man fans are delighted with this casting decision!
Andrew looks just like Peter (especially the way Peter looked in the 70s, 80s and 90s comics and cartoons), he will be portraying Peter/Spidey correctly, he is a big Spidey fan, he is very passionate about playing the character, and he is a very good actor. It's perfect casting!

@incinerator1016 As for Harry Osborn, the reason why he is not in this movie is because this movie is set during Peter's life in high school. In the comics Peter never knew Harry in high school. He actually met Harry while in college.
This movie also has Gwen Stacy as Peter's love interest as opposed to Mary Jane. Gwen was Peter's first true love in the comics.

For your information, Tobey was actually a terrible choice to play Peter/Spidey and EVERY real Spidey fan hated him in the role! Tobey played the character totally wrong, he looked nothing like Peter from the comics and cartoons, his acting was awful and his queer voice is way too annoying.
