  • I too thought this woman was crazy. I just came back from lake George, and was amazed it is actually true.

It has nothing to do with the walls as they are too low and the space is too open

Also the echo/amplification effect only works when you are almost directly on the crosshairs. If you are a foot away you hear nothing.

I and others in my group all tried this. I wasn't drunk, stoned, nor mentally challenged (although some days it appears so).

    Pretty cool.

  • loooll i live right down the street from this so called mystery, all she had to do is ask anyone from the area and they will tell her its basically just a joke ,it just the way that spot is constructed lol not a mystery

  • Wow your so stupid

  • Please, investigate this for me...an elementary science textbook.

  • @ offmychain I guess your idea of entertainment is going to clubs or a bar getting hammered and say what a good time.

  • TRUEEEE I DID IT!

  • stupid bitch its the low walls

  • This is true, and has been proven by officials who studied the "mystery spot" --if you were to drill a hole straight down through the earth you will end up in the indian ocean. Now, in records from history: people wrote in diaries saying they can"hear the spirits talking to them" in the indian ocean and the mystery spot. So it's always been there even before the CONCRETE circle that was built just for that one spot was there. Therere 2 other locations in the adirondacks that have the same effect

  • @Rawr325

If that's true, then how come when you say something in the opposite direction of the wall, it doesnt echo? and i know it doesn't, because i tried it.

  • So I take it that this town has very little to do in terms of stuff like.....entertainment. Gee, let's all go down to the circle.

P.S. I predict ALPO, or whatever the groups name is, doesn't have much equipment on ther hands for investigating REAL mysteries...or members who know how. Just my guess though.

  • its an echo. i stand there all the time

  • Hard concrete base + hard surface low lying wall = sound reverberation. aka: echo... imagine that

  • It's really weird! Having been there and experienced this first hand, I find it hard to believe that little stone wall accounts for the echo.

  • its the curved stone wall

  • she likes to pretend she's importaint

  • Yeah, with the circular stone wall there is likely to be an echo.

  • its the sound waves reverberating. you can create the echo in many places.

  • wow what an ugly bitch, you arent solving anything so maybe you shouldnt create abbreviations for fake service groups that dont do shit.

  • wow this dumb bitch is hilarious everytime she says it

  • My home town. That's a friend of mine driving the horse carriage.

  • I live about 20 mins away and used to work on the cruise boats that are shown, and i can guarentee that there is an echo there, its freaky

  • I don't hear ANY echo.

  • wow that was a great job you have completely solved the mystery!!(sarcastic)

  • its not rocket science. Wall, voice, voice bounces off the wall and you hear your voice again. DORK

  • the fog hehe i know that song anywhere. no mystery its the circled wall serrounding the area

  • Really intelligent conclusion, stone walls doesn't reflect sounds, but steel bands and "magnetics" does instead? Like, of course you won't get an echo if you stand in the middle of a circular stone wall...

  • god people are retarded. good to see some people here realize the semi cirle causes it. theres something like this at the University of Cincinnati too

  • It's imbeciles like you that take away from true paranormal occurences. IT'S THE SEMI-CIRCULAR WALL, YOU IDIOT!!

  • I hope this is a joke. It's not a mystery. The wall is curved and your voice resonates back around towards you in a perfect 180 degrees. It's simple science.

  • i live in chestertown like right near lake george it does work

  • it doesnt deserve a paranormal title tho

  • actually....it works...it doesnt tune out all other sounds but there is an echo. i live in warrensburg i did it a couple times because i saw it on the video. i felt like a retard standing in the center and yellin "Byeargh bleaahh". in order for it to work u have to face the street, or look at the lake and then turn around. i think it has to do with the circular rock wall around the back creating the echo.

  • ahh the burg

  • stupid

  • I live in LKG to and i didn't really like it it was boring and badly presented

  • This kind of circle is also there in University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in the north campus, outside the Media Union. The voice of the person standing in the center echoes very clearly over there as well.

  • that was amazing!

  • wow , ppl like this make you wish for the communsits to take over

  • uhh.. i live in lake george.

and its been known to do that for like ever.

  • dorksville, population you

  • cool im from lake george i should check that out

  • good story, lousy presentation of something that desirves better representation. theres one at the south pole , go find it

  • you fail in presenting that
