it would really wouldn't matter since hd tvs only do 1080p. so you will have to hook it up via hdmi. the more ram on the card the better. Like the evga gtx5803gb card
You can't have a fan go higher than the rpm that It's rated. They are a tad louder than the gentle typhoons but not much. Also it comes to the design of the fan when it comes to cooling and the efficiency of it. The xspc does not have more fans. I have the xspc fans running at full speed in my water cooling loop complete vid
@juggolo Well, fair enough. But I don't have gentle typhoons :[
sub-human Blade Masters here, feel really bad with them
btw my fans are separately powered (24V 5A PSU with separate adjustable 5-15V DC-DC converters for every PSU) so I could try it fairly easily but I don't feel like risking my fans. :3
Great video! Those XSPC fans are amazing, but since they are sleeve bearing as you said in the video, they probably aren't very good horizontally mounted.
If you're unsure about voltage from any header, a multimeter is your friend there. If you don't have one, they're cheap at RadioShack or your cheap online source of your choosing.
Any connection that provides a constant 12v will be fine for running LED lights, as they draw way less power than any fan. Just make sure you have the proper adapters/splitter and that the header will provide a constant 12v power source and you should be fine.
I have an EVGA Classified motherboard and I've been contiplating on modding the pulsing "E" to light up my EK motherboard waterblock. If I replace my EK LTX to a Raystorm block and I wired the block's LEDs to the Classified's "E" header will it work *I am pretty sure it will**, I think it'll look cool.
What do you think?
Good job on the reviews of those XSPC components!!
a small suggestion....
Maybe you can post some graphs and stuff..
After watching the video the second time.. I kinda got lost with temps comparisons..
Good video BTW

@hecjr822 get a 7970. 3gb card, no worries with multigpu issues, and just as fast and a little cheaper than dual gpu cards

Quick questions.
What about noise? At 12v do the XSPC fans make less noise than the Gentle Typhoon fans?
Also how do blades spinning at 1650rpm perform better than blades spinning at 1850rpm? Unless the XSPC have more blades...

@juggolo how about overvolting it a bit? :P like 14-15V or so

@ShadowwwLFS
I did 1.36 or 1.4 is what I used to get 4.2ghz 1.4 is the max you want to do on a 1366 processor
juggolo 2 months ago
@juggolo ...
I was talking about overvolting fans to make them spin bit quicker than whatever they're rated at.
ShadowwwLFS 2 months ago
@ShadowwwLFS
That would be a waste 1850rpm gentle typhoons is all you need. No point doing that this rad will not benefit fans spinning faster.

The xspc fans are good for the price at 6.95 per fans. Making the fans spinning faster won't help if they have poor static pressure
juggolo 2 months ago
@juggolo In your country - maybe, in here - you can't find XSPC's at all. :/

@juggolo for every PSU -> for every fan *

Just add oil to them and it should prolong the life of a fan

I don't think it would work but you can try. I just hooked up the leds to a terminal block.
