  • which icing do you use that is that stiff?

  • Even the smooth side of a paper towel isn't  "smeewth". You get paper fibers in your frosting, and the paper towel will actually draw moisture out of the frosting, drying it out.

    the pink lines are your guides start after the pink line go over the next line stop at the one after it then start on the otherside and repeat :) hope that helped :D

  • Smoothing the icing with a paper towel is a good idea but you might want to let people know that the buttercream will need to have merangue powder in it so the cake develope a slight crusting to stop the paper towel from sticking.

  • hi! the tool is called cake leveler and it's made by Wilton. it comes in sizes depending on the cake size you're having. hope that helps.

  • Michael's carries all the Wilton cake decorating supplies, that cake cutter (sm) is about 4$ and I love it much better than a knife :)
