Nice to see Johnny Marr playing some of the old songs. He gives his songs a sound that other artists, who have tried to cover them, can't duplicate. Not a bad job from Neil Finn, he doesn't try to mess with it or make it his.

I may have commented on this before. I love Neil's voice, and at this time of his life he sounded particularly good. I love the little artistic things he does to his phrasing. This is a stunning version, and I prefer it over Morrissey singing.

Totally disagree with you on this. Neil is a great singer with a nice vocal range and skilled nuance. Meanwhile, Morrissey's voice doesn't please my ears very much, though he has gotten better with age.

Different people like different things. I and many others happen to like Neil's version, and without it, I wouldn't have even known the original. If nothing else, think of it as a great way to introduce a very good song to new fans.
