I have to agree, this is simply a cute video. I understand Corel very well and it was still a challenge to follow your "lesson" Imagine a school teacher that never speaks a word as she solves problems on the board then expects you to know what to do on your own.
Nice work, but it would have been nice to have a little more education to accompany the piece - I got nothing from the annotation button so moved on after a minute or two.
The instruction from the first annotation is at the second 36 of the timeline and the trace could not be more explicit, is more of practice and skill that just clicking on menu options, so I invite you to keep practicing on your traces to get the best result.
@BioGeekBill As you can read in the Title, the video shows a technique of vector art illustration tocreate a palm tree... nothing else. In the process I let the people know about what to do and what to use, everything is in the annotations... that little red button with a dialog balloon in the bottom right corner of the video window.
no offense man , but the best way to create a good vector for that palm tree just draw a sketch ion a piece of paper on an outline pattern and then scan and trace in your corel trace, i think that is much easier. but you got skills man ...
As a result of the technique you're mentioning, you're going to get a very noddy vector and not as clean as it needs for applications, finally you will have to clean all nodes that the "auto-vector" tool will make to have a clean curve.
nice video, I am new to Corel and would like to see some basics like welding, combining, how to check when ojects are closed. I did the some of the tutorials with my registered program but just need more help with my applications.
Dear Subscribers, I'm back to traces! Send me your requests about what would you like me to do in a tutorial to: gillsoriano@live(dot)com I will take the best one to make a video of it.
cool art man. you're so fast. by the way, can u tell me how to curve the line thru keyboard shortcuts without using the mouse to point to convert curves button? im a newbie in corel draw. how did u adjust the curve of the palm trunk 2 lines simultaneously ? please help
Yes, to convert to curves you have to use: "CTRL+Q" Keys. For example, to convert corel draw squares or circles, so you can edit them with the node tool.
hi! your so great...I'm just a newbee in corel and I wanted to learn more because I'm kinda making wedding invitations, and I thought corel would be a big help on making my designs. But since I was a firs timer, I search on utube for tutorials and lucky to find your videos! can u tell me the tools did you use on 3:18 - 3:35? I will appreciate any help from you...
Sorry for the late of my reply, I've been very busy lately.
Well I really suggest you the 9x12 intuos 2 to get a good starting point, anyway this traces I do in my videos are made with a simple mouse cause all of them are bezier and then editted.
That's just simply awesome. I see your job is design, how long have you been working with Corel, do you use other programs? By the way, the music is cool too. Can you tell me the name of it?
Thank you so much! Well I have been working with corel draw since like 16 years ago, but the most important thing is creativity and of course practice.
Yes I use a lot of programs for vector and raster design and art like adobe suite and other brands.
The song is one from the Global Underground music, I will send you the name soon cause Im not in my computer right now.
Wow - thanks.
