DALLAS: KATHERINE RETURNS (IN A BIG HAT!)

This is why I was disappointed in the Series Fnale in 1991. It never really tied up the loose ends to Pam's disappearance. And tied in with JR and Sue Ellen, Pam and Bobby were the core of the show, throughout before Dallas went down the pan. How can you just havfe Morgan Brittany show up for one or two episodes and say that her character wasn't responsible for Pams diappearance.

@cardiff1984 Bringing Katherine back for TWO inconsequential scenes was ridiculous. Why did producers do this? It was never clarified or played out in any constructive way. They briefly toyed with the notion that Katherine might have "kidnapped" Pam, but this was disproven by Pam's instructions to the Wentworth CEO. A year later, they would bring Mitch Cooper back for just TWO scenes then never to be heard of again. This kind of stuff is insulting and really unecessary. Just don't go there.

@apriltwentyfirst I agree. Katherine (Morgan Brittany) did look pretty fine in hats, bathing suits, dresses, jeans (hell, she could have worn a burlap sack and looked hot!). Katherine should have been kept and turned into Dallas' Alexis Morrel Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan! They should have had her snooker 'ol Ray into marriage and take his 10% of Ewing Oil and make cocktail hour at Southfork "must see TV again!"

She didn't change. Remember the creepy scene when she was alone with Pam and said evily, "Sleep on, little sister....sleep on...." "Little sister" must have just been a phrase because Pam is older than Katherine.

Maybe Katherine did change. People can do that. I liked how she said that I will pray for Pam and you Bobby. I am saying this because I had liked Katherine. I did not like her at all before this episode. What I don't understand was why did the producers bring her back now just for a few episodes.

yes,Katherine's last appearance is in 1987. the last appearance she made in 1985 when Bobby was killed, the producers made the audience think that Katherine was dead, but the actress Morgan Brittany was actually pregnant at the time and they pretended that Katherine was dead in the dream season of 1985-1986.

For Duffy, I truly think he used his death as an inside joke on Katherine. I mean the woman had done enough to him, but you do get that feeling Duffy was adding some fuel to the fire subtext-wise, although it never truly happened.

Again they really could have gone somewhere with this, and they just threw their hands up and just wrote Pam out. If Duffy hadn't done what he did, Pam would have been killed and their would have been no need for the whole Pam flees, but gives Bobby complete control

I don't think this ever went anywhere. They grasped at straws due to the fact they didn't want to "kill off" another major character. I think they just brought Katherine back not to confuse people that saw her die in the "dream episode" before the "dream season."

All I know is that they dropped this storyline faster than Vince McMahon drops a wrestling angle - and went with Pam coming up with the idea by herself. Then having the character have one final scene the following season.

Actually, Katherine killed Bobby at the end of an earlier series by running him over in her car while trying to kill Pam, and also killing herself in the process. But that was all a bad dream, apparently...

If you're asking whether Katherine ever ended up sleeping with Bobby, no, but she sure drooled over him. She spent a lot of time (and money) trying to get him for herself, but she failed at every turn. I'll give her an 'A' for effort. LOL! I miss Katherine (AND Dallas!)

Oh totally! I'll never forget when she snuck into Pam's room dressed as a doctor or something and that's the last we ever saw of Pam's body. She said something like "You've always had everything you ever wanted little sister... now it's MY turn!"
