  • And then Jude gets into Christminster, Jude's first wife dies, they get married and live happily ever after! (that's how the story goes, right?)

  • @judasatan Yep, Dr. #9 Mr. Christopher Ecleston(sp?)

  • is this a thomas hardy novel? can someone please tell me

  • @pegger1982 Yes: Jude the Obscure.

  • The film started well, but i lost interest half way through it.

  • 1:09 shaushaushausha kate is very funny and very beautiful

  • AMIGOSSSSSSSSSS X FAVOR SUBTITULADA AL MENOS LA PELICULA JUDE X FAVOR

  • I LOVE THAT SEEM LESS PANNING BACK AND FORTH @1:23..

i AM NOT A DIRECTOR. However, for this scene they could have used 2 cameras

+ Editing later on to make a much more smoother scene.. For a moment there, i thought i was watching an old Chinese flick where they used ONE CAMERA TO SHOOT EVERYTHING, Instead of multiple cameras...

  • Kate est très talentueux, qui sait comment travailler sur son rôle, étonnant et tellement chatouilleux chaque agissant elle le fait, très réaliste et naturelle

  • Dumkoft....that's Christopher Eccleston not Tom Hardy.

  • @tranvozcaya Thomas Hardy is the author of Jude the Obscure...

  • She's so amazing, wonderful part!:)

  • UNA SÚPER PELÍCULA: MUY DRAMÁTICA Y HERMOSA.

  • That movie is awesome.. sad but beautiful, and quite real.. he's lovely, Thomas Hardy play so well in here... he's amazing.

Kate's role is pretty well.. but his acting is not as good as Thomas, in my opinion..

she walks as stiff as a stick.. alwais no matter witch movie xD

JUDE is the best movie that she has been the oportunity to do..

  • @kafkashan

Its a fuckin movie dude chill out. Plus in ur country cousins marry all the time so wtf u talking about

  • She has won two BAFTA Awards: Best Actress for The Reader, and Best Supporting Actress for Sense and Sensibility (1995)

  • @pitchstonesg In my opinion the reades is a tedious film...

JUDE deserve an award a thousand times more than "The Reader".. such a tedious movie, what boredom..

  • Liked the film and the poem within this clip

  • This movie is AMAZING!!

    I cried!

  • if they ask me that i have chance to be role at one movie with her but i accept to loose my home ; i don't think one second..

  • after that movie there no day's that i think or dreamed her,

  • this movie is devastingly sad :( x

  • They really are both great actors.. this film is done so well and really does the book justice

  • I love they way Jude gazes at Sue in the last scene after she has recieted the latin verse. That is the look of longing...Well done Eccleston.

  • Great book...

  • it's a JOB- an ACT- get over it... you pessimistic negative creep

  • "Nothing is left of me each time i see her..." wow guys this movie is not to be seen BUT to be heard....yes Hardy could have written such expressions....Erich Seagal is a match "Love Story"...

  • Luverly Chris. What a sad movie!

  • did they smoke in those days?

  • Smoking tobacco was introduced to Queen Elizabeth the first by Sir Walter Raleigh. Since then people have been using it. That was when it was introduced in England though which is where this film is based. The Native Americans in North America had smoked it for spiritual and ceremonial reasons for a long time.

  • Kate recites that poem with genuine feeling, as if Catullus himself speaks through the ages!

  • Hang on. Is that supposed to be Catullus 51? Ille mi par esse deo videtur? What she said: 'Hominus similis deus quis cedit ad latum' doesn't make grammatical sense to me at all. Am I going mad? Is this another poem altogether? Someone help!!

  • Yes it is Catullus 51 translated by Peter Whigham (1966). But what she says in what supposedly is Latin, is utterly incorrect(For instance: it's not hominus but homo). I think the script writers had the English version and just made a feeble attempt at rendering it in Latin.

  • Nice one. I thought it was odd how they used 'quis' - instead of the relative 'qui', (or how she didn't read Catullus' Latin at all!) It's not weird medieval Latin, is it?

  • a nice dramatic movie.

  • Jude is available for sale on Ebay and on Amazon

  • Hi, I found this CD in a store in Bangkok Thailand and believe me this is my most favorite movie. It is a wonderful adaptation and like the book is a perfect indictment of religion and how appetites ruin noble ambitions

  • Where can I find this movie? It's nowhere on the internet or the library.

  • try amazon or ebay :)

  • could anyone put this film on youtube, please? I can´t find it anywhere and I really want to see it :D I´d be eternally grateful!

  • algun español q tenga esta pelicula,

yo la tengo pero en italiano la quiero en españo o subtitulada.

  • it's a really good movie, i like it very much.

not the whole movie is depressed, only a little piece of it.

but still; it really is a fantastic movie!

  • I bought it, I saw it and it was sooo sad. Sort of...I've seen worse, but, it was still very sad.

  • /i wanna watch that movie! I'm gonna buy it. Then again I never buy movies I havent seen yet, i should see it first...

  • Yes, you should definitely see it. It is such a good movie. :)

  • what's it about?

  • This is the summary from the imdb site. (I'm not good at writing them lol):

A stonemason (Eccleston) and his cousin (Winslet) fall in love. However their love is troubled as he is married to a woman who tricks him into marriage and she is married to a nobleman. They eventually get together. But, living out of wedlock, the two are rejected by the townspeople, leaving them to struggle in abject poverty.

  • thanks i'm probably gonna go by it now.

  • This is my favorite, FAVORITE film of both Kate Winslet and Christopher Eccleston. Both are marvelous. The score is amazing and unforgettable. I wish this film was better known and appreciated.

  • Kate winslet is so pretty in this film especially around 1:00

  • @TRWLLANELLI Like what...?? like a delicate butterfly?

don't you thing that she walks stiff like a stick? I thing so..

I love that movie but definitely she dislike me... she's disappointing.

However i thing it's one of the best movies ever made...

The book is much more sad.. and ends diferent... worse..

  • VERY DEPRESSING FILM. Sorry the last word vanished

  • Warning. Despite the wistful nature of this clip, this film is very .

  • In some ways, I still believe this performance is the best of Kate's career, even though she wasn't nominated for anything and hardly anyone ever mentions it.

  • I think this whole clip is my favorite from this film which I love.

  • his eyes are so beautiful. especially at the end :)

  • One of the most beautiful film ever ! For me, a masterpiece. Anyway the best of Miss Winslet !
