I have the same old Sony Mavica FD90 camera and it works fine. This camera has only 1.6 Million pixels but IMHO the picture quality and its size is okay & satisfactory for such an antique camera. You can use conventional floppy disks or the older (large size) Memory Sticks in connection with the Sony MSAC-FD2M adaptor.
BTW: have you wonder about that bright light obove the display? It´s a photo cell that allows you to use the display outsides in sun light without the display backlight ;)
Memory slot? You need the floppy disc adapter, it's not with the camera, but it should have AC supplied. The battery is small compared to REAL STAMINA batts for Sony Camcorders, the nice attribute is it shares with the other Sony cameras. You will find it works pretty nice, I got the same this week for $7 bucks. Mine has no CD ROM, so what's on the CD??
@MetallicBill Leave the stickers ON, it's worth more to collectors in an original NEW state, what they call NOS, New Old Stock, if you keep all the packaging with it
Ah, the good ol' days when cameras used to be as big and heavy as a cinder block. Too bad it don't work though, I was hoping to see some pics. Did you try recharging the battery? I would love to see the picture quality.
@mycamguy With the flash, the pics are fantastic, it's very good at lighting dark rooms, without it's standard fare perhaps, It shoots JPEG images and the diskette is formatted in camera to have a Web page FTP style you can then open and hyperlink click on the pictures stored (open them and then save to your HDD)
