Damn no one has posted the original theatrical version of this race. In the Vhs release anakin's pod doesn't detached from his engine. Instead it just cuts away from him dodging the debris from the pod racer that exploded in front of him at 6:17.

I know, lol I was doing a little research on those engines, on some random star wars website, and found that those were actually from some newer conceptual fight ship engines, but the design was dumped, due to the fact that the engines weren't powerful enough >_> I mean seriously...Anakin in this race is going atleast 600 mph easily (MPH because Lucas Art Said thats what is was going to be" I was like "Shit that's fucking fast.." I agree, but I'm not bothered that it was in the movie. Otherwise this scene feels empty, and there's just the sounds of the engines, and in a theatre, it doesn't seem all too appealing. If you add the commentator however, it sounds more like a real race is going on and it immerses you more, even if it is nonsense. It would be best if it included commentary, but if it weren't so silly.

Out of all of the pods that took part in the race his was the only one not to be seen at all, not even in the deleted scenes. Disappointing.

No, Neva Kee is seen twice. Once at 2:08, in between Qui-Gon and Padme and another time at 3:48 as the second racer Anakin overtakes. The second time it may be hard to see but if you look closely you'll see that it is Neva Kee who is in second to last place. Which sucks because Neva Kee totally was the best one in the N64 game.

You're right about 3:48 but 2:08 is Clegg Holdfast. I always played the game on PC and Neva was my No. 1 choice. He was at least in the top 5 of highest boosting speed and was the best in traction -> best racer.
