  • i have a question are you available ? i wanted to know if you could you the crab legs they sell in packs..also do i just cut them up ? and another question do i keep the red part on the crab ? is it edible ?

  • @SkyKnight26 Do you mean the crab legs that are still in the shell? You could use that, but that is a lot of work. You can use the ones that look like "cheese sticks" with the red stripe on top of them. That is imitation crab and would work fine. And yes the red is okay to eat.

  • Can I use eggroll wrappers & just cut them up?

  • Thanks you for sharing!

  • are these sweet? I prefer mine sweet.

  • Thanks ladies!!

  • Crab ragoon is the shit.

  • NEVER HEARD OF THIS - WILL HAVE TO TRY IT!!!! YUM

  • Thanks for this Wonderful Recipe!!!!

  • I'm looking to do this with spinach artichoke dip. Can't wait to get them going.

  • @Cp9BengalsSuperBowl Awesome.

  • Do you fry them in grease? Like vegi oil or somthing. Also how long do they take to cook, by watching the video, a few secents, in between flipping right? I never made them before, and would love to try them home made!

    Thanks, great video! :)

  • @NilaVaniIIa Yes, we used vegetable oil. Yes, you're really just cooking the wonton wrapper and heating up the filling.

  • @EssentialCooking Okay great. Thanks a bunch!

  • @EssentialCooking No im not lol

  • Good job! Looks very good:)

  • Are y'all like old people no offense

  • @swttina98 Are you? Lol...This was our first video, we were not sure how to act. Also, we're in our 20s. :P

  • can u bake dem instead?

  • @Shakimas Yes, turn your oven to 425. Brush them with a little bit of butter and make sure you spray your pan so they don't stick. Bake for about 12-15 minutes. Watch them, so they don't burn.

  • @EssentialCooking what is something i can use than wonton sheets

  • @Shakimas You could try pastry dough.

  • Ok so I made them and he LOVED them!! Thanks for the recipe!! So glad you guys put this video up!! :D

  • @SuperLivingDeadGirl9 We're so happy that they turned out well for you!!

  • I am going to try to make some crab rangoon's for my huband tonight for Father's Day and I'm going to use your recipe :) I'll let you know how they come out!!

  • I love Crab Rangoons <3 ;)

    They're my favorite food.

  • Yummy!!! I am addicted to crab rangoons and need to start making them myself

  • Please Help..I tried making(using your recipe), but after placing my wontons into cooking oil(vegetable)...my wontons started to bubble up...once I turned unto other side...all my cream cheese fell out...What am I doing wrong...I'm using Melissa Won Ton Wrappers, purchased from local grocery store...although a few in first batch came out & where delicious...Note: I made sure not to over fill..I sealded w/egg...they looked identical to you guys before putting into oil...HELP PLZ!

  • @EmbracingSelf1st is the oil too hot? It's the only thing I can think of. I'm sorry!

  • @EmbracingSelf1st I have found if I accidentally leave too much air inside they will bubble real bad. I used water and even though some leaked a little the most that happened was the oil would fry the inside a bit. I've looked into it and it seems air bubbles are a #1 culprit. Possible solution: Instead of making triangles plop a dab right in the middle and pull up all four corners. Squish it into a little box shape, with one finger in between each flap of the shell so you have a cute little X.

  • @EmbracingSelf1st Go light on the sour cream as you are wanting the cheese to be the sticking factor here and forget the water. Also, be very sure your mix is at room temp/tepid/not cold at all! so the change in temp with not overly effect the pressure inside when its cooking time. It always helps if the cream cheese is very soft! Easy to mix, easy to bring to room temp! Soft cheese! Try mixing a little Brie in- gaaaaaah yummy!

  • @prittypawz713 Careful what Brie though! Many are semi firm, you'd want the almost liquid sort! Bah, I'm talking ears off! ~pins trap shut~

  • @EmbracingSelf1st this is it, I promise! You can also try them baked. The Really easy was is in a muffin tin. Spray the tin with non-stick cooking oil, drop in the shell, plop on the mix & bake till golden brown! 425, 10-15 min. Keep ur peepers on them till you've found what works out best in ur stove w/ur muffin tin. Knowing ur equipment well can help u major when cooking. Every stove and pan has it's own personality XD

  • @EmbracingSelf1st You probably didnt put enough egg, my husband made some for me today, same happened, so we made sure to put more to seal em, we pressed em together and they came out just great!! :) Hope this helped!!

  • highly recommend some thin sliced roasted peppers or thin sliced sun-dried tomatoes!

  • @prittypawz713 sounds yummy!

  • @EssentialCooking I soaked sun-dried tomatoes in balsamic vinegar and sliced them fine as paper, stirred them in. My boyfriend almost cried they were so good! Just be sure to let them dry off after the soaking and before the slicing so you don't bleed the vinegar into the cheese/sour cream mix.

  • @prittypawz713 lol...now you've made Melissa want to make some of your version. ^_^

  • @EssentialCooking Go for it woman! Theres always room for crab rangoon! :)

  • Very nice job with simple but complete directions. Thank you for making this video in an easy style so that even I can do it. I've checked out similar rangoon how to vids. and yours is the best. Really nice work, keep it up. I think I'll make some crab rangoons to celebrate you!

  • Oops *Rangoons

  • You girls are so cute! :)

Luv the heart shaped ragoons! these are super yummy with sweet chicken chili sauce or sweet and sour sauce.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Great Vid! How much oil do you use by the way?

  • @Jphan16 about half the bottle or a little less....

  • You guys are awesome. I might try this next week during my birthday. Thanks for the video.

  • Thank you SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS! Crab ragoon is one of my FAVORITE finger food, I was worried that I couldn't find won ton wraps unless I had to go into an asian market, and I'm kinda scared going in there cause they look at you funny lol, but I read one of the comments that said you can buy them and Wal-Mart and now I can buy it there! :D the filling just looks SO good I would start eating it out of the bowl XD this vid is my reference THANK YOU!! :D

  • thank you for this video!! i love these! are the wonton wrappers in a cold section of walmart or just out in an aisle?

  • @manysgurl89 Usually in the cold section. Around the vegetables and such. We hope you have fun making them!

  • im glad i found ur vid cause im addicted (lol) to crab rangoons and my mom is tired of driving me to chinese buffetsa, but anyways where can i get wonton wrappers?

  • @dcshows1 You can buy wonton wrappers at any Walmart.

  • @dcshows1 Yes, you can get them at Walmart. Many grocery stores have them in the produce area.

  • awesome! i'll be trying this this weekend n_n thank you!

  • hey, I have a little problem... I tried this but my dish tasted a lot like uncooked crab. Do you think I used too much crab or were the wontons undercooked?

  • @jlilaj What kind of crab did you use? Most crab that we've ever bought was already cooked, so it should not have tasted uncooked. If you fried it, the wontons should have been fine.

  • caned crab is gross...use fresh!

  • @thereisnowaking We're trying to make it easy for people. Yes, fresh crab is best, but it's easier for people to just buy the canned variety. Thank you for your comment.

  • @thereisnowaking Yea but it's easier to use cause it's already minced unlike real cause you have to chop it up into smaller pieces, and plus its all getting cooked all together anyway and I think the cream cheese will cancel out most of the taste anyway :)

  • Yummy! Thanks for the vid. I have been looking for a recipe for Crab Rangoon.

  • @gcarped Thank you for watching and glad to help!

  • I adore crab rangoon. I went out and bought all the necessary ingredients and embarked upon cooking them as you directed. I found that I couldn't put hardly anything in the won ton wrappers. They would puff up and then the insides would dribble out and muddy up my cooking oil. What am I doing wrong? Otherwise, they were just as I remember them from chinese take-out.

  • @MsDove if you keep as a triangle and fold the tips inward that wont happen, i work at a chinese resturant and thats what we do.

  • @MsDove also it helps if you squeeze all the air out and make sure the edges are sealed well. along with what @leavemealoneorels said.

  • keep it up guys, Im gonna try your recipe, thanks for sharing

  • This is one of my favorite items when we have Chinese food. Thanks for showing how to make them. I am going to the market right now for the items I need. Now I need a good Beef fried rice recipe. Thanks for your help. Love the video.

  • @143megb We hope that they turned out well.

  • So made of win!

  • i gave these a go and fried up a small batch, but everyone at home wanted to try them steamed, so we gave that a go too. they turned out surprisingly nice steamed. just thought it would be a less fat option for people

  • @hugmeshootme glad that you enjoyed them and also tried your own way of cooking them. We've never had them steamed before, we'll have to try that out sometime!

  • you guys look novice

  • Hey, I would love to see a vid on how u made the veg. rolls! Thanks :)

  • I love both ur recipes that are up so far. Hope to see more! love ur vids!

  • Excellent!

  • Nice! Can't wait to watch more episodes. Which is why I'm subscribing today!

  • Woo hoo! Keep the cooking coming!

  • @sammie8877 Well, the oil was still a little too hot, but they still cook pretty quick regardless.

  • how awesome, made something that I would never have tried look easy! thanks Raimy and Melissa
