  • @aod417 Where is the 'clicking' noise coming from in the fridge? The reason I ask is a defective defrost thermostat can also make a clicking noise and cause the fridge and freezer to be warm. I will email you a link to our website PartSelect . com with information on how to troubleshoot some common causes of a warm fridge. Please let us know if you have any other questions or if you need anything else.

  • i have a Whirlpool fridge with bottom freezer...Model EF19Mk

What im getting is a clicking noise, the about 10 seconds later, another click goes on forever. the freezer aint keeping things cold, nor is the fridge. i looked up parts, and the noise if im hearing correctly is the drier tube. does that sound right, and is it a easy fix? any help would be great

  • @dotcomartist2 - You're welcome! Glad the video helped answer your questions! Thanks for the feedback.

  • I spent hours trying to figure out how to remove the control panel from my Kenmore side-by-side 106-9552611. Your video answered all of my questions and I don't think I would have figured it out otherwise. Thanks!

  • We are having a really hard time disconnection the control board. It seems like the "pegs" are really stuck in the plastic connection. Is there may something we're doing wrong?

  • @mrsnidahassan This is a very common problem I often run into myself. I would suggest using a small flat blade screwdriver to pry the connector from the timer. Most of these fit very tight and I often have to use this method. Simply insert the edge of the screwdriver into the gap between the connector and the timer and gently pry the connector away from the timer.

  • the music adds nothing to this video except a distraction

  • hi, i need help with my refrigerator freezer, it keeps freezing up and doesnt blow any air the bottom of freezer has ice on it and compresser seems to working fine. what would cause the coils to freeze up? could it be a timer or low on freeon? thanks

  • @ppsjsh Hi there, from what you've described it sounds like one of three things has failed - either the defrost timer, the defrost heater, or the defrost thermostat. The first thing you'll want to do is test each of them to find out where your issue is. I'm going to send you an inbox message with a link to our website where you'll find specific instructions on how to do this, as well as information about the parts you might need.

  • First, thanks for the video. Very professionally done. But, a couple points that seem to lacking in this kind of videos.

    1. What are the symptoms that require one to replace the defrost timer?

    2. For this particularly video, I wish Steve would speak a bit louder. :-)

  • @unebonnevie Thanks for your feedback, we understand that those key pieces of information are very helpful. On all our videos if you click the "show more" in the info section you will see that there is a symptoms section (usually a list of the 2-3 most common symptoms), the tools needed for the repair/replacement, and a few other tidbits of information like part numbers and where to go if you would like more information in this particular part.

  • HI went on your website but i was unable to find model number maytag M1TXEMMWWOO, it buildds ice aroud the radiator, the compressor was fried during a lightning storm where is my defrost timer?

  • Hi there,

Your defrost time can be located behind the refrigerator's lower kickplate, in the refrigerator's control panel, or even behind the refrigerator on its back wall. Defrost timers almost always have four metallic terminals extending from the bottom.

You can find more information on testing and replacing you defrost time using our online Virtual Repairman, I'll DM you the link. If you need more help, just let us know!
