This has been a very big problem with the NES ports. Only 3 enemies can enter at a time.

I can never forget the CROWDS this game brought when I was a teen back in the day. Not only was the game awesome (but too damn hard) but the cabinet artwork and sound was just so badass. I miss the days of classic arcade cabinets :-(

the one thing i disliked about the NES port was the whole "tap to shoot a rocket, and hold to shoot regular bullets" thing (however this issue can be solved with some controllers with both regular and dedicated turbo buttons such as the ones seen in some Yobo famiclones).
