@WackyFunkMunster If you go straight to the Collector Base after the crew get abducted, Kelly (the rest of the crew) will be saved, and a random colonist dies instead. If you do any missions inbetween the crew being abducted and going to the Collector Base, she dies.

The real mindfuck of this is that even though Kelly physically dies, her mind is apparently uploaded directly into the reaper and conjoined with the minds of all the people who were processed as well. So in a sense, Shep was the one that ultimately "killed" her :P

@Zephyr16 its easy, make sure you finish all missions before doing ;legions. i try to do all allies missions first. get what i need to get then do main story. once you get the reapier IFF its on a timeline i believe.

For everyone debating whether you can do Legion's loyalty mission and still save Kelly the answer is simple. Of course you can. After you get the Reaper IFF, the next time you leave the ship there will be a cutscene where you play joker and the crew gets taken.

While EDI is installing the reaper IFF, you can do 1 mission. After this mission, the IFF is installed and you can go to the omega 4 Relay. If you delay after this point, Kelly will die. Otherwise, you can save her.

@zest4lyfe you're supposed to focus more on paragon or renegade but not both. If you try to split between the two options, you won't have enough "points" in the paragon/renegade bars to stop the fights between the ship members and they will therefore not be loyal to you and potentially die

personally, I don't know why Bioware made it like that, it made me mad when Legion died because I didn't have the option to make him loyal along with Tali -.-

It seems the makers of ME2 support this quote, and feel that it is better to be either completely good or completely bad than lukewarm. If your Paragon or Renegade score is high enough you can stop the fights between Miranda/Jack and Tali/Legion. If you end up making one of them mad, an even higher score (80%) can regain their loyalty. Though in Jack's case all she ever says is Fuck off.

@zest4lyfe You can look up the video where Joker taunts Legion while they're flying to the Geth station. The scene where the Normandy itself (not the shuttle) docks at the station is the video that will play while doing the loyalty mission before the crew is abducted.

A good method is to wake him up, travel in an elevator, go back to him and talk about the heretics (thats what most guide says anyway). However, on my first run, I did legions loyalty mission after the crew got abducted and still managed to saved kelly. I wonder why my case is different, could have been affected by the paragon meter perhaps?

@zest4lyfe I played through the game twice, and each time I was able to do Legion's loyalty mission BEFORE they were abducted. I'm telling you, you can do it.

@zest4lyfe You CAN do Legion's loyalty mission before the crew is abducted. Upon activating Legion, you must immediately converse with him a little, and he will brief you about the "heretic Geth." This way, you're allowed to fly to the Geth-inhabited station before the Normandy is attacked. I had my entire team (100% loyal) AND crew survive. Hope this helps.

@rhinnawi95 She doesn't get processed if you immideatly go for the collecter base after they assaulted your ship. That way, you can save her in time. If you wait and do a few other missions before heading to the collector base, you will be too late.
