  • hahahaha genius. keep up the good work brother!

  • its called a case of beer!!!

  • THIS VIDEO IS F----CKING BRILLIANT

  • @cessna151 Thanks!

  • Would love to meet this band there great

  • I Love this song. haha My Uncle played this LOUD when he droped me offf at school and im white but go to a FULL black school so everyone outside was looking at me like i was crazy!!! lol btw i go to Cedar Hill High school=Ghettooooo but oh well im moving to the HILL COUNTRYYY!!!!!!!

  • geth the beer in man

  • Thanks for the ride dude

  • In Australia and New Zealand beer multipacks can come in "blocks" or "slabs", multiple packs of six packs wrapped in celophane with a convinent carry handle.

    Happy days!

  • Does that haul better out to the car than a cardboard case like we have here in the States for 12/18/24 packs? I imagine it would...having had a few handles tear off in my hand in my time...in purely scientific field-tests that I've conducted of course!

    Cheers!

  • Yep, mucho convienance.

A slab is 4 6-packs shrink wrapped together. (24 cans)

    A block is 6 6-packs wrapped together (36 cans)

And since its Aus and NZ we're talking about beer that has ,you know, a nice stong taste and a decent alcoholic content. (None of your Yanky sea-water pish)

If toyu ever want to expand your beer horizons try a brew called Tiger, Its brewed in Singapore and is 4.8% by volume. Its also really really tasty.

  • MY BOYS

  • Beer run!!! :D lol I fuckin love this song!

  • i believe that song is by hayseed dixie

  • Its actually originally The Gourds.

  • damn straight dude

  • Who gets a 6 pack anymore?? Must be an American :0

  • Just gotta stock up! ;-)

    Thanks for watching!

  • They stopped selling 6 packs here long ago, we can get 8,15 or 24. 6 is just a primer ;)

  • Hmm...interesting! And I agree! Ours are available individually, or in 6, 12, 18, or 24, and almost exclusively in 12 oz (US) bottles or cans, though 32 oz bottles are available in most of the cheap domestic stuff. Oddly enough even though they sell it in 6-packs, Guinness and Newcastle and some other imports CAN be actually bought here in a 4-pack...what on EARTH is the point in THAT?!

  • @RedneckCasanova up in montana you can get 30 packs

  • Thanks!

  • It makes snoops version sound like crap, it is a perfect song

  • I don't dislike the original, but this one is pretty damn rockin'!

    Thanks for watching!

  • Great song!

  • Sure is! Thanks for watching.

  • I like your tunes R.C.......I imagine if we ever crossed paths thered be a few beers involved.

  • Probably!

    Thanks for watching!

  • Awesome Gourds tune. If you dig this, check out the "Rebuild the Wall" album by Luther Wright & The Wrongs-- it's a masterpiece. Way better than Hayseed Dixie, though I like those guys. Cool vid, dude!

  • now i want a beer

  • By the way,no offence, but hayseed dixie came to my local pub in wales and they were class A dickheads, they were amazed everyone didn't wanna kiss their arse,we just wanted a beer y'know what i mean, they were bigheads and our pub was too rough for them haha pussies.

  • No offense taken in the slightest...I just like their music. Being a musician myself I don't find it in the least surprising either...I've met some REAL idiots who think a little talent and a little success makes them some kind of gods. And it's usually the ones with a LITTLE talent and success who are the worst about it. Sorry they were dickheads at your pub though, one pub drinker to another!

Oh yeah, and thanks for watching and commenting!

  • i allmost like this better then snoops version lol good shit

  • It kinda grows on ya!

This is the Gourds and I don't really know much about them but check out Hayseed Dixie...pretty much all their stuff is bluegrass covers of classic and hard rock tunes...really great stuff!

  • this is the shit love it its about time they made good redneck music

  • Thanks for watching!

  • its time for the redneck revalution

  • this video of full of win except that you're drinking icehouse..which automatically makes if full of lose

  • Aw MAN! It's what was on SALE! ;-)

    Thanks for watchin' though!

    M

  • That's not Hayseed Dixie. That's The Gourds. Kevin Russel (sp?) on vox. They're probably way more talented than Hayseed Dixie, but not nearly as fun.

  • You're right on all counts, I think. Although I DO think Hayseed is a pretty talented bunch of players...though certainly they're funnier entertainers than they are any sort of spectacular musicians. I've been meaning to post a clarification in the description on this video so I think I will now. Thanks!

  • on looking for said yokel videos it'd seem that boatloads of yokels obviously sailed for the americas with the pilgrim fathers, and there are now loads in the USA too-yokels are universal- an international rural brotherhood - cool!

  • A lot of my heritage is Welsh and what isn't Welsh is Scots-Irish who made up a majority of folks who settled in Virginia and went west and south into Kentucky, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee and many of them got there by way of migration through the South and West of England...

  • funnily enough, most of my heritage is southwest UK and we've traced a whole bunch of family who went to the Virginia area back in colonial days-some went to make a better life, and some weren't given much choice ;-)

    Have a good day :-)

  • Where in Wales are your relatives from?I'm Welsh :) Bydd Wych! haha

  • Would've been so long ago I don't know if the town would have the same name even if I knew what it had been calld...we're talking centuries ago. But family tradition and some small amount of documentation indicates they came from some part of Wales, relocated to London for a generation or two, did fairly well there in the textile business and bought land in Virginia in the late 1600's. So it was quite some time ago to say the least!

  • Bloody hell that is ages ago! Place names are pretty much the same though i think,i like this vid it works well with the video, makes me want a beer :)

  • I hadn't thought about it but you're probably right about place names being consistent there, more so than in many places at any rate. I'd love to visit there sometime.

A beer sounds like a great idea right about now so I'll just raise a virtual pint with ya! Cheers!

  • great stuff RedneckCasanova! thanks for the history lesson too :-)

here in the south west UK we have "yokels" - same sort of deal really-landrovers and shotguns of course, but cider instead of beer - I wonder if there are any yokel videos on youtube...

  • ...particularly when things got difficult in Ireland for those who had always considered themselves English. I'd like to research some of the parallels and connections between West Country rural linguistic and cultural patterns and those in the rural Southeast US. That'd be fascinating, and it's what I'm interested in academically anyway!

  • being a redneck is not something to brag about

  • You're right. Nor is it something to be ashamed of.

  • You don't have to be from the South to be a redneck. Props from PA redneck yall!!

  • I've been telling people that for years...and you'll find folks that seem to fit the positive AND the negative senses of the word, as far as I can tell, pretty much anywhere ya go!

Thanks for watching and greetings from TN!

    Matt

  • its probably 2 late to thank u for the explanation, source and everything so thanx to both o u and its kinda funny that my question made quite a debate between u 2 lol

  • Hey, thanks for watching and commenting! That's what it's all about!

    Matt

  • Yep, that pretty much sounds like my family! ;-)

No, seriously! Thanks for the background!

    Matt

  • I think that explanation, while certainly documented, is an apocryphal 'folk-etymology' account of a term which has gone through several other turns of meaning both syntactically and semantically in the intervening 150 years.

Thanks for trying to help though

  • you call urself a redneck... can you define to me what a redneck is, sorry im not from the states so i dont know....by the way this song so good and the vid cool to

  • (continued...)

the word 'redneck' is basically derogatory and insulting unless you use it towards yourself or someone who understands that you mean it in a spirit of friendship and camaraderie.

Sorry...that's as simple as I can put it!

    Matt

  • But since then it's become more complicated.

If you're not from the rural American South don't EVER call another person a redneck because it IS insulting! If you ARE from the South you can call somebody a redneck to imply that they are a little bit uncultured and not very concerned about their supposed shortcoming, and in fact are a little proud of the fact...but you still should be careful how you use the term because in its basic form

  • As best I can tell the term 'redneck' started as an insulting term for rural American Southern men who worked in the fields like the African slaves who didn't get sun-burnt as easily and so didn't get a 'red neck'.

Refer also to the terms 'cracker', 'white-trash', and 'bubba'.

    (continued...)

  • Glad you like it! It's one of my favorites too!

  • kool vid man, we sit and listen to this when we smoke...what a fun song.....

  • Thanks!

Man...is THAT why this one has 4000 views?! ;-)

Yep, this one's a good tune to smoke to!

    M

  • All that way for 4 beers dude,Great vid though.Well done.

  • Well, it was really only a few blocks away...and it was 6 beers, so I guess it was worth it!

  • 6 Beers Sorry,Thats us brits not being able to count too good. The ride was worth it though you live in a better place than me.I run the risk of being mugged when i put the trash out.

  • I've got that going on too in my neighborhood. I just caught it a a picturesque time of day just after the joggers go home but before the muggers and hookers come out to play!

  • Guess theres no bad places just bad people that screw em up.Great vid Keep it going on.Wicked drive sounds.

  • lose the shit m8ey

  • Hate to tell you , but, that is the Gourds from Texas who sings Gin and Juice

  • i'd like to see you at bob's place!

love the vid and the music

  • Hayseed Dixie ROCKS! All's I did was go to the Beer Store and put it to some music I like!

  • Aw, cuzzin, yer gonna git in trouble if'n yer p.o. sees that you left while's yer still unner house-arest!

  • Aw hell, he WORKS at the beer store part time!

  • What a pleasant ride to the corner market. Funny how the mundane can be oddly entertaining. The choice of background music was a good touch too. I have a much longer round trip for a beer run in my neck of the woods, so I'd be able to hear the whole Hayseed Dixie CD!

  • Well I'd certainly recommend them for 'beer-run' listening!

  • Awesome.... jammin to the music!!! Great vid!!!

  • THANKS! Why do the COOL YTubies only come out after midnight EST?! ;-)

Check out Hayseed Dixie wherever you can! They're GREAT!

    M

  • I will have to check them out... thanks

BTW - Are you going to SouthTube in GA????

  • Oh, it's starting to LOOK that way! I'm not sure yet, though! My day-job is sending me up to the Storyteller's Festival in Johnson City, TN in October, and I also use that as an excuse to visit Momma n' Daddy 'Casanova' in Lafayette, but I've got me some pretty substantial personal leave built up, so I'm REALLY thinking about it!

  • This is why us unknowns will NEVER get to the top rated or any other of the top lists. WE DONT SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER CORRECTLY! People, rate the fucking videos...how hard is it. I rated this one and it took a total of HALF a FUCKING SECOND!

  • Grr.

  • I know where you're comin' from! Let's talk more about this issue.

  • Maybe this is the wrong place to mention this but fuck it. I noticed you have 23 views on this video but I"m the only one that rated it so far. WTF is up with that? I ALWAYS rate when I watch videos! Whats wrong with people? Is it too much effort to click a fucking star? I don't get it.

  • Hey Preacher .. I feel the same way man! I always rate when I watch.. if someone goes through the trouble of putting up a vid... they need to be rated.

Good to see ya my friend,

    Martha

  • I love the fact that Youtube fixed the comment section so that when you reply to comments on your own videos, your own replies dont count towards your comment count. I got tired of being accused of doing that to up my own comment section. I mean, I do it because I think a big part of Youtube is the interaction. If not for that, it'd just be television. Blah.

  • Amen Preacher... I like to go back and forth on these things.. I do it all the time with several YouTubers!!

  • Thanks for the ride, RC. Cool vid.
