@masterworks02 So do placebos. When the FDA tests drugs, there are a significant number of people who report improvement that were fed placebos. Any improvement from this is due to the placebo effect. There is no scientific evidence for Chakras. If there was, it could be measured, but current methods of measuring heat, and activity have revealed nothing. Also nothing can be attributed to healing without repeatable evidence.
@cutes22 According to all evidence the so called placebo effect is getting stronger, so much so that it is becoming a problem with double blind drug tests. It seems to be related to the power of human consciousness over physiology.Chakras are focuses of consciousness .
@cutes22 As Carl Jung said: "So long as one knows nothing of a psychic existence, it is projected if it appears at all. Thus the first knowledge of the laws and rules of the psyche was found in the stars, and further knowledge in unknown matter…
The really important psychic elements cannot be measured with the ruler, or the balance, or the test-tube, or the microscope."
@cutes22 don't worry about the BS and placebo and what not their actual are energy channels along many of the documented acupuncture point.... nothing mystic, just meridians of the nervous system.. So it actually does sometime have very good benefits health benefits O_O
The base chakra is at the sacral-coccygeal junction, so it is low down on the buttocks. If someone is reticent about being touched there you can work just off the body. As to sensing blood flow etc I would imagine any resonably sensitive massage therpist could feel temperature differences and various waves of kinetic pulsation through the body. Energy works would expect to feel far more subtle senstions than blood and liquid flow.
I'm sorry but looks like he just gets to put his hand on her ass. I admit to being ignorant to this chakra but, looks like a very simple massage. What exactly are you feeling when you stop. If you can sense blood flow and liquid flows within the body the people who are manufacturing stethoscopes are going to be pissed
Since Chakras are a myth to begin with, I guess you can get yourself to believe anything if you want to .

Its just a curiosity that some myths appear to have significant therapeutic value.
