Hmmm, well, I happen to feel that the Jedward act displays insufficient talent to qualify them for the music industry, and that they are merely a public phenomenon. As for Simon's opinion, I have never heard it nor have I paid attention to it, not being a hardcore X-Factor fan. The point is however, this is a Speakonia video, demonstrative in an extreme form of my feelings. Therefore it should be taken with a decent pinch of salt.

X Factor is a karaoke tournament. On a critical and technical level, no one in it is a meaningful artist in any way. They can sing passably well. That's it.

If you respect the music created by the X Factor franchise, I could see why you might dislike Jedward. If, on the other hand, you see the X Factor as a pointless way of manufacturing disposable music, Jedward are kind of edgy.
