I just got my Squier 2 days ago and I've noticed I have to put my finger directly on the metal bar of the fret for it to register some notes correctly. If I put my finger in between the bars on the fret (where it is supposed to be) the game thinks I'm hitting 2 notes, like '3 and 4' or '6 and 7'. Do I have to adjust the strings closer to the fretboard or farther away or what? Thanks in advance! And yes I am using the mute bar so that is not the issue.
@OtherRealmer There are sensors in the neck that tell it which fret your fingers are on whether the mute is on or off. The reason I play in practice mode with the mute off is because it registers the string vibration as overstrums, a LOT of overstrums if a note is held. As far as a guitar goes, it's OK, especially for a beginner, but it takes some working with and adjustments, and still isn't "perfect" but it has it's charm.
@jagageralla Not really, directly. Practice mode is more for that specific song. There are separate trainers that go over power chords and scales, though, and they are excellent, allowing you to adjust the speed and scoring you on your accuracy.
@redhed002 Great video man, I'm still waiting for fender to ship this thing to Europe.. :( I play (only 6months) guitar myself and loving my acoustic. I think I mastered the basics by now (power>open>barres with relatively good switchin between them).
Wanted to buy an electric, but waiting for the RB3 one to come out. I heared the fretboard is plastic instead of wood? I had a beginners guitar with a plastic fretboard and it stressed me out, when my hands got sweaty!
Awesome vid - thanks for posting!!! I just got my Squier today, but I can't use it with RB3 yet because I'm waiting for my midi adapter!! Plays surprisingly well as a regular guitar, though. Much better than what I expected.
@akward571 Absolutely. While nothing can replace actual one on one with a teacher, the majority of people don't really begin that way anyways. They just start out noodling, maybe pick up a book or two, or try to play by ear and maybe some tabs. This actually provides focus and direction with the goals, and a good learning curve from easy to expert on the songs themselves so you can see how everything starts to fit together.
Hello! Could you please do a big favor for me and attempt to play the game left handed? I cannot find anywhere showing that it is capable of doing that, and I really would like to get one of these! Then I can just restring it the other way and not worry about the actual guitar part of it... I just want something that feels like a guitar... the mustang is difficult with precision movements for me. :(
@Prophetkryztof There is an option for both the mustang and the Squier for "lefty flip", but, yeah, I'm not playing leftie, lol. That'd be a disaster. The option's there, though.
@redhed002 I'm sure the option is there, and I don't really want you to actually play it but just check and see if it works. I'm just curious if it registers the sensors along the fretboard. The high E should end up being your low E obviously, and it should register your hand at the opposite side of the screen that you're used to. Thanks by the way. :) PS You should try lefthanded. :D I can't help but laugh when I play right handed.
Hey can you do i want to break free? i would like to see more Queen in general? and are you planing to check out the updated dlcs that have pro guitar now?? I know this maybe be anoying but belive it or not I'm actually learning songs from your vids! thx! keep on rockin'!!
@StarDida Did a Mustang run of it of Get Free already. Not sure if the chart is that different for the Squier. Alot of the Queen stuff is surprisingly sparse on guitar, but Tenement Funster might be a good one. BR's still a lil bit out of my range (for now). I have all the legacy updates but am trying to decide if I should do a Mustang run on some of them or just wait a lil bit til I get a bit more used to the Squier. I'm leaning towards the latter. Thx! You do the same.

Hey, I got a question.
I've heard that with the dampener off, the guitar tends to "see" you're playing the wrong frets and faults you for it. Is this true?
Also, how is this Squier as a guitar (as opposed to a game controller)?

i never played gutar before, can the game actually teach me how to play one?
zhevox 9 months ago
@zhevox It does seem to help a lot of people, but it still takes a lot of practice.

Lol you play your power chords funny

Heya!
IS the practice mode good for practicing scales and power chords??
Thanks

Oh, but if you're taking requests for future vids, could you please post some 'Freebird' on Expert action? Lol!!
SpeedDemon46 11 months ago
@SpeedDemon46 Sure thing! As long as you realize "future" is a very general term, lol.
Think the highest I ever got on the Mustang for that was around 76% or so, so might be a while.
