  • 3:56 EPIC

  • This is the real METALLICA I grew up listening to I always get mad people say real Metallica is dead no RIP to Cliff but all original members are still alive so they could still do a reunion tour Ron,Dave,Lars and James and do a whole tour of the Kill Em All album but will never happen but it should \m/ \m/ Metal up your ass Cheers.

  • This is when Metallica Opened for Saaxon

  • This was on August 4, 1982 - the live debut of the song and the earliest known live Metallica.

  • @jpg0819 Metallica's first show was on march 14th 1982, they played hit the lights, jump in the fire, and 6 or 7 diamond head covers

  • @skiiddo True. However, I meant this is the earliest known live recording. Sorry for the confusion.

  • @jpg0819 ahh I see, in that case you're right.

  • it would be great to see Metallica in a small venue but it will never happen ever again

  • @metali10 actually it does happen, metallica play small venues for benefits and record signing every few months

  • This is Metallica. And yes. This is James.

  • It´s Metallica with dave Mustaine singing and soloing and without Cliff on the bass.

  • @petehamer May sound like Dave, but it isn't. It's James.

  • @petehamer wrong/

  • where did you get that audio clip

  • I'm sorry but I do believe this just a cover of the song

  • @Tinkstoy01

Wait what?!?! dude! this isnt a cover of a song, Lars and James wrote this song

  • @megarichard420 I think he ment this is just a band covering metallicas song, because it sound so different. Because cmon, this is def THEIR song!

  • @Tinkstoy01 This isn't a cover, this is the premier of the song.

  • NO WEMORZE!!! Haha the fuck?

  • I think this was actually in 1981, the next year was when they saw Cliff with Trauma.

  • this is brutal

  • little legendary James voice.....

  • who are the other bands that play with metallica this gig?

  • @fua80 If this is the Kill Em' All For One Tour one of the bands was Anvil.

  • does anyone knows how were the other bands that participate in this show in this date??

  • @marceurodriguers at the Whisky they played with Saxon and Ratt....and maybe motorhead....depends on the exact date of the gig...the information is out there

  • the vocals sound like that of Dave!

  • this show was probably in Aug. 1982

  • @HungPastor

I was 1982, because my band was outside the Whisky handing out flyers for a show of ours. I do remember Metallica was opening for Raven this night though.

  • The bassist cliff or ron has his bass turned up so loud lol.

  • it's Ron dude. Cliff joined Metallica in 1983

  • @ThePoison27 No he joined at the very end of 82. Ron quit in 82 and Cliff joined right after.

  • @ThePoison27 But yeah it is probably Ron. Unless this was late in the year.

  • dave its good but kir its way cleaner, way melodic and way heavy, dave its way faster, and way more bad ass

  • I wonder which show this is...could be any of the possible ones below...

    27/03/82 Hollywood, CA Whiskey A Go-Go *1st Set

    27/03/82 Hollywood, CA Whiskey A Go-Go *2nd Set

    04/08/82 Hollywood, CA Whiskey A Go-Go

    27/08/82 Hollywood, CA Whisky A Go-Go

  • @RobertHollisByrd : Yah, you can hear two guitars, JAmes and Dave.

  • u can hear that he used to sing another breath before another death :)

  • man shitty sound still awesome though!

  • Damn, that intro solo is AWESOME! Better than Kirks in my opinion, although I do like Kirk's stuff too.

  • Good thing they got kirk!!

  • dave sure loves his chromatics.

  • god. the eighties. wish i had been born twenty years earlier.

  • me to brother .. it sucks dont it

  • ron is good but i like cliffs version better

  • Thank God they found Hammett, that intor solo was WEAK

  • indeed

  • why does everyone hate Ron? he is a great bassist

  • i haven't heard anyone hate ron, actually i've never even heard anyone say anything about him i mean good or bad

  • wisky a go gos were they found cliff, shreading bass!

  • playing for trauma right?

  • yea. when james and lars heard it, they thought it was a guitar shreeding, when they found it was cliff they must of been fuckin amazed! so after lie, 50 times of asking, they finally convicend him to join, if they moved.

  • the funyy thing is my band played at the whiskey a go go and we closed the show with this fucking song. FUCK YEAH

  • oh and one more thing my fellow metallicatz... there WAS 2 shows in 81. one was on halloween in rons garage for a party. they only played the mechanix and hit the lights. the other show was new years eve at one of lloyd grants parties where he invited metallica to play a couple songs before his band played

  • haha ur actualy right...james is only singing here ppl. there is actual 8 mm footage clips of this show...i own a few on a mini disc, ive traded alot of shit for it...if ur wondering why james isnt singing at the end part, its because hes seen drinking a beer and then jumping into the crowd. someday i might post it. but im a real fan and if im one of the s=few who own it, its a collectors peice that i shouldnt allow assholes who hate metallica and or megadeth to see.

  • dude please please please post it. I'd die to see it.

  • @CrimsonIdol1990 you should share sweetheart

  • jesus that's some bad quality. cant even hear james's guitar.!

  • I'm almost positive James only sang at this show.

  • yea at the beggining solo the only thing in the back is rons bass

  • First live performance of "No Remorse' and earliest known live performance audio document of Metallica. Whiskey AGo-Go 8/4/1982. Yes, it's authentic.

  • This is the premiere of this song. (source: metlists

  • wow ive heard their shows from 82 but this may be the earlest show ive heard havent found any from 81

  • There aren't any shows from 1981, only thing you'll find from 81 is the orginal Hit the Lights, which is on Youtube

  • They didn't play out in 81, as they only had James and Lars at the time. First show was in March 82.

  • where did you get this from?

  • it came from HEAVEN!! the go brang it down

  • this doesnt sound like metallica?

  • i dont think it is

  • Yes it is.

  • You have to remember that Ron McGovney is on bass, which brings Metallica way down. Dave's solos were different from Kirks. I don't know if I have this show on a boot, but I do have one of their shows from 1982.

  • It surley is!

  • What are you smoking it sounds like metallica
