  • so what's the deal? I would love to go to Holland and not just for the weed but if I go I wanna use weed there,so if I go oneday would i still be aloud to use it and get at coffeeshop's or do I have to somehow become a dutch holland resident to be allowd? This is sad if it happends.

  • @titsbeerbong420 If you do not have a dutch residence or citizenship, then you will not be allowed into any coffeeshop in the Netherlands as from the 1.1.13. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that is the position of this right wing govt. at the present time. They are eroding away, all of our freedom.

  • @oracle945

Fuck it haha, just give the dutch your money we wont walk away with it we will get you your weed haha :)

  • @SmeeeetS I Know a lot of dutch geezers...........

  • They stop the coffeeshops then there will b no tourism in holland

  • Here's hoping the good people of the Netherlands vote out their current right-wing Israel loving government the first chance they get. Your wonderful country is suffering a bad case of American-itis.

  • My friends and I are planning on visiting your beautiful city in august (2012) to sample some of your beautiful marijuana. But major new reports from CNN and the dailymail claim bans are hitting the city to only allow dutch national access to coffee shops, whilst occupants have claimed these reports to be nonsensical. Can you please clear the confusion and confirm or refute these reports?

  • @DubSponge In the Southern part of the country coffeeshops are only allowing Dutch Nationals as well as Belgian and German, but in Amsterdam tourists are welcome. There are certain politicians proposing a tourist ban in Amsterdam for 2013 but most do not believe this could happen in Amsterdam.

  • @adventuresineurope

Why would they want to ban it ?:'( it would be maddnes to .......maddnes?........THIS IS NETHERLANDS!!!! >:O

  • @bacon2boy Certain politicians seem to have no idea why the Dutch even have the Tolerance Policy. It's very strange.

  • @adventuresineurope

i wonder who thought....lets tolerate cannabis..i love who ever does :D

  • @adventuresineurope love to hear that.. i'm going to amsterdam next week

  • @DubSponge The official line is that the coffeeshops in the south of Holland will close their doors to ALL persons who are not of Dutch nationality or official residents of the Netherlands. This law will come into play for Amsterdam and the rest of the country by 1.1.13. Pls. support us on FB- Amsterdam Smoke-In Protest. Save our coffeeshop culture. it is about our freedom being eroded away.

  • @DubSponge

Yes men it's true you need a pass to buy weed so fuck of and dont come :)

  • @maffiadaan There is NO Wiet pass in effect.

  • @maffiadaan There is NO Wiet Pass in effect at the moment.Where do you get your incorrect info. from?

  • @DubSponge hey were from florida were planning on visiting on august too! where are you guys from?

  • i'm planning on going on the 20th november 2012 do you think it will still be legal to tourists?

  • @LiamEdge2010 Yes you will be good for 2012.

  • @LiamEdge2010 You will be allowed in the CSs in Amsterdam until 1.1.13. Pls note that Cannabis is not legal here in the Netherlands, it is tolerated.

  • I LOVE AMSTERDA, IT'LL BE ALWAYS IN MY HEART.

  • what about now my friends....I'm asking you in real time...I heard aboute the ban, now I'm just crying beacuse of that....is that true? they can't do it to us....it's the only place in the world where you can take a seat, watch their menu, try your favourite weed and have a cup of tea in peace...no harm to nobody

  • @yurihogg Amsterdam coffeeshops are open to all adults. They are facing a lot of pressure with certain political parties proposing a weedpass, limiting the amount of THC to 15%, etc... Nothing is for sure, it would be hard to imagine Amsterdam without coffeeshops that welcome all. We will be making a new video with all the new updates.

  • 3rd year I've heard this... they need a nieuw campaign!

  • Comment removed

  • Franco is absolutely on point! in italy today a mainstream tv news show named tg5 announced that 4 sure tourists will be banned starting from 1 jan 2012.these Motherfuckers!

  • We're planning 2014 trip in the summer. Will the shops be closed to UK tourists by this time :/?

  • @LennoxtownNews Coffeeshops will be open to all adults. There has been a lot of incorrect information regarding the weed pass or tourist ban. Enjoy your trip, you will be welcome in Amsterdam's coffeeshops.

  • @adventuresineurope Cheers for the speedy reply. I was just wondering as I read yesterday that the shops will be closed to all tourists starting 2013, :) thanks again

  • @LennoxtownNews hopefully but I will be making my trip this year or next because the daily mail said they will have the ban in January 2013 =/

  • Coming down to Amsterdam this weekend.YES!!!!!!! Norway

  • Three southern provinces of holland are banning tourist as of january 2012, and will hit the other provinces including amsterdam january 2013, am i right?

  • will i be able to smoke in april next year when i visit?

  • @jaimiec93 Absolutely! Enjoy your trip, April is a great time to go.

  • Yeah i am from the netherlands myself, and i smoke like every dutch guy alot of weed. I especially like to smoke with tourists from all over the world cause once there stoned we have a good time. We can all thank weed for our low criminality, and that we are a super relaxed country. I hope someday when i go to the U.S.A. pot is legal there then aswell!

  • @SmeeeetS Thanks for the great comments. I also hope you will find legal cannabis in the US and A in the near future.

  • @SmeeeetS come to canada

  • @SmeeeetS Im coming in april, we should smoke! haha

  • @ClaudioSanchezCC

Yeah let me put it on my to smoke with list haha, you got fb? Cause we will smoke some together then..

Only our laws will be changed since 1 may.. so that tourists cant buy any weed.... but no problem il be getting it for ya :).

  • @SmeeeetS Im there April 6th to 10th yeah message me and ill give you a link :P

Theyre really not selling to tourists? thats crazy! i think the economy will suffer from this! haha :P

  • banning tourist from pot shops will not be great, but not unbearable.

however, banning tourist from the whores will result in a war

  • Wonderful series man, absolutely beautiful. But what about Masstricht? I wanna go to Maastricht or Amsterdam THIS WEEK, is it possible to buy weed as a german in Maastricht as well?? Or would you suggest to go to Amsterdam instead, Im still not sure if i wanna go to Amsterdam or Maastricht, lol...Any tips and suggestions are welcome, thanks in advance. God bless you all ;)

  • @montana187xxx Thank you my friend. I'm not sure about the laws regarding Maastricht, I'm hearing various reports about Germans and Belgians being able to access coffeeshops. I would definately recommend Amsterdam, of course Maastricht is a great city, but Amsterdam is my favorite city on earth. Have a look at our coffeeshop videos to see which coffeeshops you might like best. Our favorites are Paradox, Rookies, and Katsu. Enjoy your trip and be sure to report back.

  • @adventuresineurope Thak you so much, its so wonderful to see such positive / goodhearted people like you still exist on this earth, lol...More people should be like you for real. Thanks and i think i will go to amsterdam this week, you definitely helped me in making my decision, lol...Take care my friend. Nothing but love, peace

  • @montana187xxx Thanks again for the nice comments. I know you will enjoy your trip to Amsterdam. Have a great day!

  • is the ban still guna happen?

  • @snipdon Not in Amsterdam. Tourists are welcome to visit the coffeeshops in Amsterdam.

  • @adventuresineurope and will still be allowed to smoke?

  • @snipdon Absolutely.

  • @adventuresineurope But I read in the newspapers, that they were going to ban foreigners from buying weed?

  • @MrStarbuck123 There are always certain politicians that are proposing a tourist ban, however nothing has changed at the moment. Tourists are welcome in Amsterdam's coffeeshops.

  • @adventuresineurope Me and my friends want to come to Amsterdam in July/august will it definitely be okay for us?

  • @MrStarbuck123 It will definitely be ok for you and your friend. Have a great trip.

  • @xIlovemoney

Thanks. Any news on the banning of cannabis containing over 15% THC levels?

  • @xIlovemoney Thank you for keeping us updated friend.

  • I hope the dutch goverment do bring the ban in. Then the fuck wits will get booted out in the next elections when the country goes to pot lol

  • @tdw121270 Don't underestimate the willpower of the CDA party - Those people are DANGEROUS!

  • Fuck, im 18 in november 2014 :L

  • @jackhamiltona7x hah hah!

  • I'm still a minor in america and ive had my fair share of run in's with cops and judges because of my cannabis use, But what amazes me is how many cops and judges have instead of telling me im wasting my life, ive had more cops and judges try an help me get my medical card, i have cerebral palsy and weed truely takes away my cp for hours, if the cops and federal judges want me a minor to smoke medical marijuana its truely our government whos against it, i actually know a cop who smokes ilegally

  • adventuresineurope WHY are you continuing to comment that all is well in amsterdam?? the coffeeshops ARE CLOSING and thats that. stoop misinforming everybody so that they are disappointed when they arrive?????????

  • @hordichuck Coffeeshops are open to all tourists 18 and over. The Dutch have decided to keep things as they are at least until 2015.

  • @hordichuck why you hating man i was just there fuck head get a job make some money an go check it out

  • @dafkrew323 cheers dickhead, i make more money in a day than you do a week you scrubber fuck off

  • @hordichuck Amsterdam are keeping the coffeeshops open til 2015, neighbouring cities will do the ban

  • @fuckdaskets25 oh ok cool. peace

  • thanks for the video man really instructive

i'm going back in november and i'd haate to think i couldn't pop to the grey area before i visit the van gogh meseum

    subbed.

  • @takeahint123 Hello and thank you, I'm glad you liked it. Appreciate the sub : )

  • Delighted that Franco the main man was sitting in the same seat in the greenhouse that i spent a sunday morning locked to lol

  • i dont know much about dutch politics, but im going to take a stab in the dark here and assume its some crazy conservatives who are pushing this?

  • That is ridiculous... what the hell are they thinking? Ban weed = WAYYYY less tourism. That's what like 80% of the people that go to Amsterdam go for! Definitely not smart, tourist suicide. Whatever, if it gets banned, I'm not going. More money for bud here in California :P

  • if the ban does come in, i guarantee a wave of crime will follow

  • @TOPDRAWDAVE yeah most of that from me throwing a massive tantrum

  • I will never go to Amsterdam again if the cofeeshops close for tourist.. Hookers and legal weed, Amsterdam is my favorite!!

  • Hey Big D, if a ban were to come in (which I highly doubt will happen) would there be certain permits to allow tourists to buy weed? The only reason I can see for the government there to ban it is to make money through such a thing like permits or licenses... another question; does the government not make money off of coffeeshops anyway? I'm sure there'd be substantial losses if a ban were to come in...

    RossF, Scotland

  • @RossF2869 Hello Ross, there will not be a weedpass or tourist ban in Amsterdam's coffeeshops. At least through 2015 all is good in Amsterdam. Coffeeshops do pay taxes, more than 50% of their income is paid in taxes.

  • @adventuresineurope Ah I see, that's excellent, I was planning on going to Amsterdam in the next year or two for a wee holiday and to experience some proper green = ) really glad theres no ban coming in. That's a hell of a lot of tax to be paying, there'd be an extreme problem if there was a tourist ban as I'm assuming a good percentage of government revenue comes from tourist money.

  • the bad news is in my city its already happend only 1500 people get a licence with this licence they can only get weed at that coffeeshop, also someone living in amsterdam cant get weed no more in den haag you need a licence, tourist wont get licences so be verry fast end of thi year starting next year no more weed for toerist, thanx to the european goverment.

  • "When in Rome, do as the Romans do."

  • Can they really ban tourists from going into coffee shops? No. They cannot, as that would be discrimination, unless they close them altogether.. But I am not sure if this applies to EU citizens as well as the rest of the world.

  • Big D, when you spoke to coffeeshop owners about the tourist ban did they sound particularly worried? Were they under the impression that the law is going to be implemented?

    Thanks.

  • @prafty They do not believe that tourists will be banned from Amsterdam's coffeeshops. They have no intention of denying tourists entrance into their coffeeshops.

  • @adventuresineurope I wish that this was true my friend. Excellent videos by the way. PLUR and vibes from Amsterdam.

  • SEE what you guys done you smoke it in public outside were people dont whant to be around you it annoys the shit out of the public because alot of them do not smoke and dont whant to smell the smoke. SO STAY inside the coffieshops when you smoke or in your homes/hotels not in public

  • Who created the beat in the end credits?

  • @estrutherss Not sure, it comes from a sound library.

  • They said the world will end in 2012...

Banning tourists from coffeeshops might just be the beginning.........

    Disgrace!!

  • @paddycfc1888opr if they ban tourists from amsterdams coffee shops i dont give a fuck if the world does end in 2012

  • On the southern border it's already common practice that foreigners aren't allowed to consume in the coffeeshops (they can still buy, however). Some CS have become 'smokers clubs', for residents only - very sad: I hope by 2012 they'll release some numbers on how many job and how much money this thing has cost the country.

Amsterdam in 2012 will be like Christiania in Denmark ... a fond memory of a better time. Welcome to the future: it's getting worst, not better!

  • fuck off the netherlands

    CALIFORNIA IS THE FUTURE!

  • Hope Our Love Lasts And Never Dies

  • Just saw the vid and can't wait to go back to dam in august, hope that wietpass won't show again. Greetings from France, peace !

  • Another great video D. Can't wait to go back to amsterdam in november.

  • i am living near the border to the netherlands, since i am smoker for 7-8 years we have this discussion, every year at the same time, nothing changed. i think government plans this to make everybody do their last trip to coffeeshops in these summers, tourist propaganda marketing decision, just my theory :)

so i dont worry, though we should fight for weed becoming legal

  • @DubstepTunez Thanks for sharing your comments my friend. Very interesting....

  • MAN JUST GO TO CALIFORNIA IR COLARADO BIG THINGS THERE

  • @gmgratton No, there are still Smartshops in Amsterdam.

  • see this proves europe is a bunch of pussies... you dont see calfiornia banning people COME TO CALIFORNIA cuz we dont have creepy europeans

  • @HomerBong To my knowledge California doesn't, legally, allow tourists (national or international) to purchase any herbal remedies, i.e. there is no coffeeshop scene & any tourists smoking in public run the potential risk of having the law ruin their trip. It's purely from a medical prescription standpoint, not a general commodity....so whatever point you were trying to make (albeit it's immensly moronic) is pretty damn moot.

  • @HomerBong

its only legal in california if you have a medical card. Also, last i heard it is also only 'tolerated' like in holland. Also, amsterdam has a lot more culture than plastic tacky america.

  • @gmgratton No they are still open, i was in amsterdam last week and i went in a couple of them, still selling mushrooms too.

  • Is it easy to purchase viagara in amsterdam??

  • as long as they don't ban tourists from the whore houses, i'm ok

  • Can someone tell me who thought this was a good idea?

  • Comment removed

  • if they actually did this the city would probably disappear off the map, amsterdam is a TOURIST CITY!!

  • They would never ban the tourists. The state gets millions because of them !

  • We dont need amsterdam. We got california, colorado, etc

  • Damn no!

  • And if they would ever go down that road it will only create a black market for weed for tourists.

  • I doubt they can legally do it, as it's discrimination. It would be insane to have laws here that don't apply in the same way to tourists, laws are laws, you can't go and make up different laws for different people.

I'm pretty sure it's the same game the Italians seem to play, just pushing propaganda and hope people will believe it will happen which might result in a bit less tourists coming here for the weed.

  • its not gonna happen i think,,be easy

  • Well there gos there tourists trade thats why people go there to get high ... its going to cost them big time to do this.

  • their weed isnt that great anyway. california is where its at now.

  • xenephobia at its best

  • Big D, on a scale from 1 to 10 how likely do you think it is that it will pass? It's seems pretty well planned to me.

  • @jtcwholesale It's not likely at all from what I have gathered.

  • @adventuresineurope That would kill tourism numbers I bet

  • @jtcwholesale

I read somewhere it breaches eu trading regulations. Possibly it could be restricted to europeans only idk.

  • @prankmypants Wherever you've read that from is bogus. That argument has been tried, but at the end of the day the EU trading regulations apply to commodities that are legal in the EU. Cannabis is illegal in most places within the EU, & it's not legal in the Netherlands, only tolerated.

  • @indkai

oh well i just read a news report that its defo going ahead now. we have till 2012 and we are screwed. bye bye amsterdam you will be missed.

  • @prankmypants Could you link me to the source? :)

  • @jtcwholesale 1 maybe 2 theve been trying this every year for ten years

  • This could never happen.

Amsterdam would deffenitly see a decrease in euros if they won't allow tourist's into the coffeeshops.

And, it's just a ridicilous way of taking away just that little bit of freedom.

  • Big D ,are you going to be in Amsterdam this summer?

  • @420amsterdam it's possible, maybe by the end of the summer.

  • more reports on this would be appreciated!

Don't want my trip next year to be ruined xD

  • @Carlmanganmagnus I'm supposed to be going in Jan :(

  • @Carlmanganmagnus i was there 3 weeks ago everyone i asked said this will not happen...i asked custom agents there police and coffee shop owners...the politician who wants this will beout of office next year and the coffee shop laws ar eprotected to 2015 under dutchlaw... thats straight from the horses mouth

  • If Amsterdam bans tourists from coffee shops then they will lose thousands of euros and their economy will decrease.

One of the main reasons why people go their is to enjoy their wide range of weed.

  • @TheCrazymaan

    Thousands? Try a few million.

It would be suicide for the dutch economy!

  • @andrewpyrah Not for the whole netherlands but for amsterdam

  • Italian dude is right.

  • @MoustachedMushroom

    Thats Franco from The Greenhouse
