  • A hooded figure on organ. How cool.

  • Wasn't around when the original came out, but do love the song!!!

  • i was given procol harums first album for christmas when i was 17.saw them in london ontario a few years later and met them after the show. still think the original members are the best. savage rose a danish band are also brilliant.

  • I dont know if it's God, people, nature.. I dont' know.. but I lament this: THEY DON'T MAKE VOICES AND SONGWRITERS LIKE THIS ANYMORE!!!!! I HATE THE FUTURE AND I'M ONLY 45

  • @cjo2112

don't hate the future mate - BETHE FUTURE ok?? BE NOW make it different

  • @tad449 Thank you buddy, I accept and appreciate your advice. Peace and real music. Take care.

  • Why is he a hero to Native Americans?

  • The greatest rock group ever. Gary Brooker and A whiter Shade of pale was awsome song., But Matthew Fisher's organ really gave momentum to the song. It is in my view the soul of the song.

Yes, Gary I have nothing but admiration for you. You are a hero to many Native Americans. May the spirit wind protect you and your group always.

  • I agree completely! The organ truly makes the song!

  • "in Held Twas in I' Procul's best..maybe rocks's best....the version with Dave Ball "Live"...

  • Yes he the one and only Gary Brooker.

  • la chanson de mon mariage ! Splendide

  • this video is beautiful. Something else really

  • Is the lead singer on the recent PBS version (gray haired gentleman) the same as the original lead here?

  • yes the same

  • I have to admit that Mathew Fisher didn't get any kudos for the overwhelming presence of that organ. He went solo for a while, and I think he has a descent voice that no one has really praised enough, like "Wreck of the Hesperus", the song that drug me into the Harum. Yes,the originals were bound for glory.

  • I beleive your looking for the song "In Held Twas In I" off the second album "Shine on Brightly"

  • you're

  • Does anyone remember a Procol Harum song with a monologue in the middle? I can't remember the song title, but the monologue had words in it like "I look around me and everything I see is collapsed and crumbling..." and/or something about sitting staring at the ceiling...

Interesting lyrics at the time (late 60s, I think).

  • the song i think you are referring to is

In held twas I, from their second album

  • I do believe it is titled the dead man's dream. Good luck
