So is this boomerang even commercially available anymore? I can't figure out why they would get rid of the convenient volume roller on the new one

False. The THRU MUTE mutes the signal passing THROUGH the Boomerang, not the Boomerang itself.

Hi. Thanks for your 3-part demo. What is the maximum sample time possible? How does this version of the Boomerang compare generally in your view to more modern loopers (e.g. Boss LoopStation, Digitech JamMan). thanks

Hi, Thanks for the comments.

Record times = 2:14 on full speed and 4:28 on half speed.

I am not familiar with any other loopers.

I will be selling my Boomerang because I use my computer to do most of this sort of thing now.

The Boomerang would be nice to have in a live setting.
