  • so amazing. you guys are incredible. You play the instruments like guns

  • Comment removed

  • Haters gonna hate, adam gonna play.

  • yes.

  • fulara too good to play with dream theater? he's good but what are you smoking because i want none of it.

  • wow they are all GREAT!! i must say though!!.... Fulara!! im a Huge Fan!!! but i sorta wish you played both with a pick and or finger picking... and then switched it up back to finger tapping style... i think i will give your sound an extra dynamic feel?

  • this is the best rendition I've heard! great stuff

  • OH, so this is where elavator music comes from.

  • please load more Fool-X stuff, it's amazing

  • Man, normally guys who play fancy two-handed stuff are just impressive and not actually fun to listen to. . .but this guy is so good it's scary and actually manages to make it work in the context of the music. Two thumbs way up (mainly because they are the only fingers not on the fretboard here).

  • fusion, yes....talented, yes....jazz and classical chops obviously....excellent stuff and i don't like most tappers.....

  • jahjhajha xD

  • i've been listening to Fulara for about a week now, and i think he would earn his reputation to be invited to guest play in Dream Theater tours.,no i mean, he's OVERqualified to jam with JP and JR.

  • Fulara would degrade himself playing with Dream Theater, he's far beyond them.

    Choose a better band.

  • Close minded.

Stanley Jordan, Pat Metheny, Chic Corea band, etc.

Some of those ring a bell??????

  • because rudess and fulara play the same instrument and you can actually compare them?

and dream theater are pretty crap. they havent released a good album since 6 degrees of inner turbulence, and that was only half good.

there are plenty of bands better than dream theater.

  • you were wrong from the first thing you've said.

because they play different instruments.. Rudess is not a guitarist dumbass.

  • moron i was being sarcastic about them playing the same instrument. you cant fucking compare two musicians who dont play the same goddamn instrument.

  • Unforgivingcritic is a mere teenager that is only familiar with the metal scene. He doesn't know what he's talking about yet. Give the kid a break, he's got some musical growing up to do.

To Unforgivingcritic: go listen to some Return to Forever, Pat Metheny band. Maybe after a couple of months listening to these kind of bands you'll understand where Dream Theatre stands comparing to them.

  • @arthurthegreat

I'm sorry, but in what way would Return

To Forever be superior to Dream

    Theater?

  • Even though Dream Theatre consists of decent musician, they chose to chase the buck and play progressive metal. All their music is based on basic ideas (very simple chord progressions, simple lines and melodies). Any dude who picks up a bit of technique will be able to play D.T music and understand it, just like all other mainstream music. In R.T.F, they play and improvise on songs with complex progressions and changes, like most Jazz and Fusion bands.

  • @arthurthegreat Honestly? Jazz snob or what? Metal is the last thing to choose if you want to make money.

  • @arthurthegreat "Chase the buck"? Are you fucking retarded? You dont play metal if you are looking to make money. Sure a few crappy bands sell out and try to make money, but going after a prog metal band? Oh, wow they dont do 38 fucking progressions every 42 seconds...

  • While R.T.Fs stuff is equally technically challenging, one also has to know theory and its application very well just in order to be able to improvise on it and play it. Chick Coreas understands and articulates in music better than me and you understand and articulate in English combined. Those are musicians on a whole different level. All these metal, pop and rock musicians are "public entertainers", they are not real, knowledgeable, professional musicians.

  • Dream Theater is not your usual Metal band. I think you are making them out to be more simplistic than they are. John Petrucci (guitarist of Dream Theater) is a real, knowledgable, professional musician, and he has a certificated diploma. These Metal, Pop and Rock musicians are actually real musicians, they write music, they can read music and they are actually quite professional. You are making a quite harsh generalisation if I may say so.
  • I agree totally. Why are people fussing over comparisons with a bunch of prog rockers (stale ones at that, hardly innovating these days) when we're talking about jazz here? This has nothing to do with prog rock.

Come on... Dream Theatre these days are just cheesy.

  • this is fusion jazz.,

not buckethead fusion ladies and germs.

    LOLOLOLOLOL!!!

  • Thats a shame, A LOT of cats can play a slap bass solo, but few are the guys that can play a good jazz solo on bass, I guess I was looking forward to that, these guys are cookin otherwise.

  • and stage presence in jazz music never tends to please a metalhead.

  • Metal is jazz.

    Also, metal is for jerkz.

  • nope, i love jazz music myself, but i love metal too., well, it's just the kind of metal that people listens too. mine is progressive metal/rock. it depends upon how the metal piece was created, was it musically or nonsense made or the type of metal that's irritating to hear, for an example.. the band cannibal corpse.,that serves only as an earsore.

  • yeah basically me too, but i like screaming music, metalcore, things like all that remains or five finger death punch. i also love prog.

  • dude, are you deaf ? or don't you know what (free) jazz sounds like ??

  • Like they say: "If it's perfect, it's not jazz."

    lol

  • that was some crazy bass solo man !

  • fusion jazz baybeh !

    very nice !

  • really i was impressed, they have a great tecnique, simply amazing, excelent musicians they are gods on their work

  • I want more! Keeping jazz innovative and not forgetting whats important.

  • Their music is awesome!Band is talented and ambitious to listening. This bassist was my maths teacher. He is really friendly and he's fantastic musician:) pozdrawiam panie Tomku

    Filip (2004/2007)

  • ya...go check it out and see..lol

  • Ten pan co gra na basie, w białej koszulce to mój wychowawca i jednocześnie nauczyciel matematyki :)

  • lol a moja wychowawczyni jest ciocią tomka i adama :D (gitarzysty i basisty)

  • People must realise that this is mono and doesnt do any good to the original. Imagine hearing this like it should be heard, LIVE!

  • Ahhh got to love the eastern europe sense of "swing"

  • how old are these guys...brothers...

  • Greatest!

  • I guess you don't like jazz. To each his own.

  • this is not rock...but jazz of a high caliber i might add...maybe not your cup of tea, but you must respect the talent here.

  • he have an incredible amount of talent, and i respect that...but for this what adam is capable to do this isnt much.

  • God has blessed you with a very very great gift to bless many with inspiration, joy , happiness and fun, Thank you so much ,you young men are great musicians. Keep up the great work!

  • great playing all around...true mastery

  • two brother?!

  • These guys are awesome! I've already seen some Adam Fulara videos, but that bass player is also amazing!

  • I liked it. I was quick to judge the maple leaf rag and call him another one of the many two guitar/two necked guitar tappers =) I see now that he is better than that.

  • Ohhh I love this game :D:D

    Basista wymiata:D

  • Quand des geeks se mettent à faire de la musique....

  • to jest to taka muzyka i nic więcej nie potrzeba :))

    pozdrawiam

  • very cool trio!, nice guitar, the bass have a nice sound too, congratulations! good luck in your proyects, regards from mexico

  • Guys you are so damn talented!!!! Keep on rocking!!! Make more songs, use different techiniques!!! Be the new Dream Theater, porcupine tree hahaha I don't know some new mutant power, may the force be with you!!!

  • All I can say is, "Wow!" My husband (a violinist here in the US) and I have been watching your UTube clips and we've become ardent fans.

  • is that Tchiago on bass??

    amazing

  • masterful and outstanding

  • his brother is a beast on bass

  • Ok not to diss Adam's tapping skills, because they are indeed amazing, however, to only use tapping is basicly turning your guitar into a piano\keyboards, I wish I could see him playing using other techniques which will give a point to him playing on a guitar and not on keyboards.

  • right on!

    Right on!

  • Playing touchstyle the way Adam does is not anywhere close to the piano or keyboards. There are 144 fret positions (24 fret) on a guitar that correspond to a multitude of different fingering positions. It is an entirely different thought process.

  • Not to mention tapping style has a totally different tone to that of a piano, and it's quite a unique sound colour in itself. If it were piano playing in this trio the sound and vibe would be totally different.

  • Amazing, truly.

  • Adam Fulara, I saw your website some months ago and it's an honor I have now a chance to send you a message through YouTube. I, as well as many around the world, admire you, and you're an example for us. Thank you for giving us such beautiful music. By the way, Fool-X is a great band, I should say it has the best jazz interpretations by a contemporary band, in my opinion. Congratulations, and wish you huge success! :D

  • Killer! Excellent guitar tapping, and good to hear an original arrangement of this classic. Five stars!

  • brothers :D:D:D:D nice :D:D:D:

  • play wiht more of an metal sound

  • its jazz..........

  • why hi make faces is hi autistic with all my respect?

i love his music his once in a million

  • no, he's just totally lost in the music :D though his talent seems a bit abnormal ^^

  • Amazing - Adam is the best thing of this century.

  • I know fulara's old tour manager. the word is that many of his right hand parts are playing off a tape triggered by the drummer.

  • i still love the music he's making though.

  • I guess you can be anything you want to be on the internet....

  • why doesn't he just play the piano?

  • because guitar is about ten thousand times cooler to hear and watch

  • That is exactly what I am thinking.

  • I didn't take the time to analyze what's going on harmonically here, but it sounded like these guys shortened the form to 16 bars (8D- + 8Eb-) for the guitar solo. I didn't like how it was inconsistent with the form of the melody they played, but I guess that's the whole point right? Cool to see a guitarist tapping like that.

  • Man, congratulation you have a incredible trio.

    I like that .

  • Good tappin'...not like EVH but good enough. You gotta get a better bass player though. That guy solos too much. Bass players should be seen and not heard.

  • are you dumb? His tapping is absolutely amazing. The bass player is excelent as well. What kind of crappy music do you listen too if you can only see the bass player and not here it?

Seriously, supurb trio, it must've been one hell of a time assembaling it.

  • lol, i like eddie but this guy blows him out of the water x 10... and believe me.. this is a trio, so you want to hear the bassplayer

  • Yeh tool. Seriously. Eddie is not too groundbreaking a guitarist. Eruption is not that complex a solo. Look up Paul Gilbert or Buckethead if you want tapping with talent and rhythm and not just part of a solo. Also, look at Victor Wooten and tell me again that a bassist is seen and not heard.

  • Victor Wooten is the biggest showboater I've ever seen. Sure, he has chops, but he plays too much. Following his example isn't a great idea.

  • Well, that's your (peculiar) opinion joehogan. I think these guys sound real good. You say bass players should be seen and not heard? What, should they just have a cardboard cutout of a bass player up there? From what I can hear he sounds like an outstanding bass player to me.

  • And, why is that? Bass players have as much talent in there instrument as guitar or dummers, you don't know shit man

  • get a life

  • You mon rock!! Awesome players all! Hope just soundguality where better!!

  • you need a better rythmn section

  • adam,teach us!

  • wow.. awesome! congratulations!

  • it was a stone groove my man!

  • Adaśko wymiatasz :)

  • nice interaction between the bass and drums

  • yes, shortened 16 bar chorus (AB-AB), like in Pilichowski version of this tune ;)

  • nice playing,shortened changes?

  • Ho yeah!! nice cover guys, i love this song!
