The worst Poirot i saw was Murder on the Orient Express starting Albert Finn it was just horrendous or should i say hideous either way it was the worst
I find it quite fitting what those kids did with Betty Davis after i heard what she used to do in real life blacking her face and singing like a mame disgraceful, she is a great actress but after hearing that it put me off her.
I love Poirot. I watch shows again and again. They seem to welcome the viewer. Death on the Nile is best by Peter Ustinov. Suchet's Poirot version is not so good. I like Suchet's Evil Under the Sun more than Ustinov's version. So, I view each Poirot on its own strength: humor, class acting, wit, and so on. This Death on the Nile is best because of David Niven. Thanks for uploading it.
You know what strikes me as odd? The fact that in every murder case, there is this little man with a french accent and a black moustache blaming other people with ingenious theories. I think this man is the most brilliant serialkiller off all time!
i lookedeverywhere for the first 30 min spent about an hour and a half looking other then foreign language all other ones that i do not speak are on here...bluh
Thank you so much for posting this as it is truly a movie that a classy all star cast excellently fleshes out. Talent on this scale- Bette, Dame Maggie, Angela, Mia Farrow, Jack Warden, etc; it's rare to get such good acting assembled in a great movie.
@mrbeancounter90 Actors are only actors! That doesn’t surprise me. I’m sure I saw Roy Castle in Bournemouth on an early morning while travelling to school on the bus, I saw Roy Castle walking though Bournemouth square he stuck his fingers up at me!
@Kan2209 She is the worst serial killer in the world because not only have we got evidence that she started in 1978 but that she has continued into the 80s and 90s hehehehe just kidding its acting baby all part of the show.
Being an Indian, I was pleasantly surprised to find a great Indian actor of the 1970s, I. S. Johar, in a not-so-minor role as the boat Carnak's manager in this movie which is an all-time classic just like the original story. Especially Peter Ustinov (as Poirot) and Mia Farrow (as Jacqueline De Bellefort) were superb.
if you take the Bette Davis, Maggie Smith and Angela Lansbury in Death on the Nile 1978 part 1 and after that click this one...you have the beginning and it all makes sense.
i miss the start of the movie where they are dancing in the ballroom and everyone is staring and hating on Lynette (Lois Chiles). i agree with Col. Race (David Niven)--she is very beautiful.

@mcmlxvi as you're that vocal about about this posting I'd like to see you post the movie and do it right. I'm glad someone did post it because it's a great movie. Just because the beginning is missing that's no reason to leave such insulting comments. That's childish and ridiculous!
I LOVE this film. It's by far one of the most stunning murder mysteries on film. Only issue I have is with Linnet Ridgeway's wooden acting. She's beautiful, and some scenes she's ok, but esp the scene here with Salome Otterbourne she's just so woody!!
I saw this movie back in 1979 just after it was made. That was one of the very first British movies released after China was opening up to the world (before it was like kinda of like North Korea). imagine the spell it cast upon us "clammed-up" chinese! Since then, it has become one of my favorite movies due to fond memory and first taste of capitalism and the DIVINE AGATHA CHRISTIE.
This is the best Christie-Movie ever!!!! Everything is so fantastic: the whole story, the actors, the scenes etc. Very great! And Lois Chiles (Linnet Ridgeway/Doyle) is so beautiful!! In the book Linnet was younger and blonde and some characters are missing but I like this version more than the book's version! I bought the DVD last Christmas!
My Top ten list of people Alive or Dead at my dinner party ever! No doubt number 1 would be Sir Peter Ustinov (don't need to worry about the rest of guest's they'd be so busy listening to Sir Peter they would love it all...maybe Stephen Fry to fill in when Sir Peter needs to nip to the loo..oh and Agatha Christie to fill in on all those detials....Imagine?...I'm jealous of my own fake dinner party!!) I admire the man greatly; as should we all man, woman, prime minister and president alike..
I am glad to say this movie all of it's star's & the wonder of Agatha Christie are in my collection and whenever I feel sad or sick or an unexpected day off work!! , or there's nothing to watch on 'the box' I put this on & I feel renewed :)
Check out Disney's "One of our Dinosaur's is missing" and then Stanley Kubrick's "Spartacus" for total diversity and the breadth of what Sir Peter could so easily achieve and make so utterly believable!! What a man indeed
I'm 34 year old male & from east end of Glasgow born & bred, I should hate these movies (sterotypically - I should love senseless skull bashing & drinking oh & Football or 'fitba') but thank god & bette davis I am no stereotype in that way.
I love this film I have watched it since I was a young child: the drama, the intrigue, the music, breathtaking scenery, the stars so many to choose from..reminds me of my childhood days sitting with family loving this performance from start to finish :)

The actual 1st part (a lot of it) is not posted here. Anyone who knows this film can see that, but at least most of the file is here. This is one of my all time fav movies...one of the very first to appear on a then unheard of HBO (which only aired for about 7 hours a day back then...from 5pm until around 1am on weekdays).
