The villain they had beat to the point where he was sitting against the wall all beaten and bloody- he attached chakra strings to his heart and had the other end on Naruto. He planned to destroy his heart, which would in turn kill Naruto. Sakura saved the day and cut the string. (The girl who was the main character in the episode's adventure told her to put one of those papers with writing over the kunai)
