  • I can't understand how anyone could have hated Scott Hamilton for saying what he did. On the night Zagorodniuk was better. Browning may have been the better skater in his career but on this night he was poor and didm't deserve to win.

    Sometimes we have to leave our patriotism at the door to be fair in sport - something which the Canadian judge did here.

  • You can't hate Hamilton for being a master of the Compulsory Figyures. Remember, they were worth 30% of the overall score. And in 1981-1982, no one really did anything difficult for the combination jump in the Short Program, which was worth 20%, so the playing field was relatively even.
