This is the greatest song ever written, pure and simple. The guitar, the bass, it all clicks right here. At the time they wrote this, all the members of Free were teenagers, and they wrote better music (check out the rest of their discography) than many of their contemporaries - and of course much better music than we have today.

It doesn't resonate with the anguished idealism or fornicatory release of the 60s or 70s - it's just commercial drivel, jerking audiences off musically for applause manipulation, which is why the disposable lyrics are so terrible.
