  • Haha, members only..

you know I think I'd like to do this, once my hair's a little longer... and then I could do the sectioning, but I need to get my friends to understand...

In my opinion I like the smaller, thinner dreads over the big clunky ones... If I'll do this, I'd like some like yours.

  • members only LMAO

  • I don't have a good reason to get dreads, that's why i don't have them, i do love the way they look but they aren't for me permanently. i do my own synthetic dreads so i can get a partial look that isn't permanent. but i honestly love watching these videos, they have a lot of information and make me have a great laugh

  • Braiding your hair before you dread is totally the way to go. I had fine, long, STRAAAIGHT hair and had mine professionally braided for less than $60 the week before I dreaded it. I washed my hair in the braids with the dread head shampoo everyday for a week to remove any conditioner, and dried it well before we starting dreading. Also it keeps your free hair together while you're dreading so if it takes more than a day, you don't look as odd since all your hair is either braided or dreaded.

  • damn you funny. keep rockin dude :)

  • I want dreads but I dont really want to be sectioned

  • hahaha oh shit i should have watched this vid before messaging you those q's, 3 inches, 3 inches, 3 inches

  • that's what she said... oh shit...

  • First of all, I love you.

Second, I've been considering dreadlocks for a grand total of around two weeks.

I'm still unsure- but you're videos are totally informative but not boring. I had no idea there would be a guy on youtube with a channel completely devoted to dreads.

    Thanks.

    Peace.

  • this videos iz da shit dawg. i got a long way to get to ur length but im ready. all i need is time

  • Love it!!!!

I'm rally considering dreading my hair now.

  • dude....

    ur dreads are THE BEST...

i want mine lyk urz 0_0

  • you can do it if its shorter than 3 inches!! ohh that part killed me!! lmao

  • I think your vlogs are great! The humor and the editing are really creative and funky. Thanks for all the useful information and tips. :)

  • Ok, on our site [dread head hq .. com], click on products, then on tools and you should see it.... enjoy :)

  • you gottta do something about liek dandruff prevention orr ridding of...my hairs been growing a little over a year now and im too lazy to brush so natruallly my hairs knotting up and i dont even plan on cutting it but i kinda have a dandruff problem i dont realyl like to use dandruff shampoos i use regular shampoo everytime i shower which can be everyday for 3 days in a row to no shower or wash for a weeek, i need some advice. anddd do you tihnk wearing hats, now i were a beanie will effeft it?

  • Regular washing is key....wash every 2 days, don't skip and it will help a lot. Most people find that the dread soap really helps control their dandruff just by getting the scalp and dreads nice and clean, but you still gotta wash regularly or the dandruff will come back..

  • 5 stars!

ive already had mine for a year and a half now but i still found this video interesting :) loose hairs is my problem, but your video on that really helped. so thanks man!

  • thanks alot for all the info on getting dreads

i can already tell that it will help alot

  • When it grows you can have a salon help or you can throw a dread party...it's your call. Some salons do great work, others with disapoint so talk to them before hand and make sure they do it the way you're expecting. BTW "twisting" doesn't work well unless you can grow a pretty tight fro so if that's their plan an you've never sported a fro I'd keep lookin' for someone who knows how to backcomb :)

  • I loved the dread deco! Can the beads that you show substitute for rubberbands?

  • They could, especially if the bead is nice and tight and you have it at the tips.... Sometimes people I'll put the beads over a band....it holds the bead if the bead is a little large. It works well at the tips or on the body of the dread....

  • good shit boi - i am following your tips to a tee - thankz for the hard work dude

  • thanx brah!

  • I was actually gonna ask u about hair length.. but u cleared that 1 up, and nice tip on the braids sectioning, thanks!

    lookin forward for vlog 3

    keep up the good work

  • wheres the other people at dreadhead? your the coolest but arent there other people at dreadhead that could be featured in your video?

very very funny video though, you rock

  • glad you asked....

There's three of us..the other two, Sloan and Morgan, have made some guest appearances (in the clip where were working on Knotty Sloan's dreads) but you'll see more of them in future vlogs....Part 3 actually... :)

  • sweet vid man! my dreads are almost 2 months in and i'm happy with the way they're starting to look! cheers for all the info ;D

  • NP glad ta help brah!

  • This is a too good a video for only about 60 viewers. Shit...

  • I agree. Send it to your friends :)

  • keep up the work man

  • I swapped out the original Part C for this new Part C, the audio is better and I got the poster frame in the right place so it matches the other Vlogs. Unfortunately I did loose everybody's comments so feel free to post them again.

    Thanks for watching! :)
