  • LOL @ A Little Quicky He He He

  • i need that wallpaper.... its nice...

  • Jesper, er du dansker? Du lyder virkelig som en :-)

Btw, good tutorial, very useful, thank you! :-D

  • Jesper-thanks for the tutorials man-i know these are older but i'm just starting on Ableton and between yours and Sonic Academy, i'm not as lost as I once was... or felt

  • where can i get the drum samples ?

  • The best way to scroll through samples is with a 128. I HIGHLY recommend making a 128 for this.

  • dude your god, thanks for the tutorial really helped me (:

  • ps... you should really make a tutorial on the trancey-progressive bassline, i am struggling with it :/

  • What synths are these?

  • @Mostfa18 Abelton is way to easy to use and has way to better sound. fl studio is complicated, the sound sucks, but if u learn how to use it, u can make very good music. i recommend ableton.

  • @GmaoMusic better sound? lol that's a myth do your research there's no such thing i use both fl and live. as for the daw thing each man to his own

  • @GmaoMusic If u learn how to use 1 software, then u know how to use anyother also but in my opinion its all about taste :)

  • jasper thanks a million mate love your videos very helpful for thos who are new to ableton respect to u mate :)

  • nice track, please check my track out!!!! need some one elses view on how im progressing lol :)

    cheers

  • Yeahh Thanks Airbase tutorials from the Master :))

  • This man deserves a nobel prize

  • hey Jasper!!! where we can got more tutorial bro!! u are the man!!!

  • The legend which is airbase, made his own swing by not quantizing to the standard 1/4. Just painted midi in "swinging" positions manually

Hey jesper, I have converted over to Ableton, and i used your videos to get me started, so cheers for them ;-) Hope your well, and im sure we will speak soon - Joey V

  • Heyy Airbase. Congratulations. I'm from Venezuela and I am learning to use ableton. Your tutorials have helped me a lot. Do not know much English but I see your techniques and help me, Thanks

  • @lirihtco are people from your country called vuvuzelas?

  • @googleboughtmee venezuela!

  • Nice. Thanks for the tip.

  • airbase you sir are simply amazing! your style and production skills are unmatched. what are some synths that you use?

  • Dude, this is one of the coolest things i have heard! is there anyway to do this while changing chords? LIke make the chord progression go from A to F without ruining the sound of the bass - kick?

  • airbase what do you use for making drums - sampler, simpler, impulse or drum rack ?

which one of this is more versatile ?

  • Jesper. Very good my friend. I have a question for you, if you don't mind. What sample packs do you recommend other than Vengeance? I've spent hundreds on sample packs to only get a handful of useable sounds.

  • Hi Jezper thanks for all the tutorials and kind sharing. Your videos are definitely useful and inspiring. I just hope to see more and more from you soon. Take care!

  • Hi Jasper,

    1. I added bass drum sample in AUDIO track, and I don't know how to enable that specific sample editor in down left corner. Ableton gave me different editor with "clip" and "sample" options on the left part of the screen, and the sample wave view on the right.

    2. Do you know some good tutorials with detail explanation how to add this type of "editors", and especially tutrial where I can learn the basics with Ableton UI.

P.S your music is amazing, I'm starting to be a fan. :)

  • thanks.

  • Although It's not super important, he forgot to mention he has a swing 16 groove going on the bassline and the kick bassline, which will ultimately change the way the song feels and sounds

  • @nsicharles77 There's no swing added to the project shown in this tutorial. See global groove control in the upper left corner, it's set to 0.

  • @AirbaseOfficial nsicharles77 = owned

  • @AirbaseOfficial Hey thanks for the reply, I truly thought i saw a groove in the tutorial at 1:56, when you have the clip highlighted it says swing 16. I now notice the global groove control in the upper left though. Thanks again for the great material.

  • @AirbaseOfficial The legend Airbase, did it the good old fashioned way and made his swing without using a swing control, he just painted the midi without using the standard 1/4 quantise. Oh, and jesper, im now converting over to Ableton and I am using some of your videos to help me start :-) Im sure we will speak soon bud... Joey V - xx

  • airbase your tutorials are really helpful for me.I would like to ask you if i can use the same note for the kick the snare and the bassline, for example use the E note for all of them.Which note is most suitable for the kick?only C?

  • roorooproo: if you still dont know how to do it, he's using simpler. It lets you load a sample and play it like a midi track.

  • what effects do you have on your lead synth?

  • Hey Jasper.

    Im running Logic 8.

And by the way i like your "tutorial" ..

But is this possible in Logic?

Im trying it now, seems kinda hard.

    Best Regards.

    First Activity.

  • Ofc you can . Almost everything possible in every DAW

  • hi jezper :) i'm a huge huge fan of your work and have played your tracks a countless amount of times in my mixes!!

i just wanted to know how you are able to access your kicks on the piano roll like that? i am using mine on a drum rack/impulse and can't seem to find the option to change the pitch of the kicks like that

  • jasper can you look at my ATB remix of Youre Not Alone? I tried to do it Deadmau5 style but need some feedback!

    every1 eles look too i need every1s feedback:D

  • airbase, where do you download the extra kick in the kick section when you said to scroll through your kick list for something that fits.

  • I have never used Fruity Loops so I can't say what to get. But I believe both software are available as demos, maybe try them both out and decide for yourself?

  • @AirbaseOfficial my opinion about FL studio is good, because Im using it more than 2 years, it have easy interface, and nothing hard, I think it is best from start.

I was tried abelton, but dont understand it, cos I havent got any guides.. but im planing learn it too...

  • @FazukuKin i agree

  • oh shit! i loved the final!!!! :D

  • Hi, Superb tutorial, can i just ask what Vengeance kick samples were used?? Cheers

  • If you mean the kick for the kick drum, it's Vengeance Electro Essentials number 030, and if you mean the kick for the kick bassline, it's the same collection, but number 069.

  • Brilliant, thanks a lot

  • kick 030 in the electro essentials is the kick used for interfere if im correct =D, my favourite dj/producer =D,

  • On the subject of basslines I REALLY wanna know how you did the bassline in Genie? It has a certain groove to it that I can't seem to attain--how'd ya do it? Same goes for that .. square'ish arpsynth you've got in there. Crazy good work mate! :D
