Dumbass what about Cleopatra who ruled Egypt she one of the great ruler of egypt.Bible is wrong .Women r the most Intelligent , beautifull , strong mostly mentally , creature on the earth .Acccording to what i read n understood , Adam is guilty too cuz he knew that .he did cuz he want to pleased her . any man who want to pleased a woman r willing to do anything just to impress the woman .
One of the major reasons I gave up Christianity was the misogyny in the Bible and in my marriage. Every time he messed up he had a bible verse to excuse himself and keep me quiet. Being sacrificed by his god fueled ego was not a fun experience.
Dear oh dear!!.."Conspiracy theorists are just too far gone"!!.. Are they not just people with questions??!! Should EVERYone just accept blindly what the government says we should believe!!?? Remember also "Dissent is the purest form of patriotism".
No, they are not just "people with questions". They are people who try to answer those questions not with the simplest or most likely answer, but with whichever answer will justify their preconceived paranoia.
@offwiththefairies77 "Should EVERYone just accept blindly what the government says we should believe!!??"
No, nor should you blindly assume they are always lying to you. There are historical cases of govt. lies, but there are a lot more historical cases of govt. telling the truth. People forget about the latter ones because they're less interesting.
@offwiththefairies77 "Remember also "Dissent is the purest form of patriotism".
Dissent is different than flailing contradiction and unjustified suspicion of subterfuge. I will exhibit dissent against, for example, the patriot act based on my analysis of it. That doesn't mean I will assume the authors of it engineered the 9/11 attacks so that they could enact it.
A creature shares musculo-skeletal traits with an otherwise dissimilar creature and BINGO—common ancestor! There's no proof, of course, but one must never underestimate the power of grant money. Eventually a sliver of bone will be found and a species will be created (not re-created, as it never existed) by those talented, university-trained artisans who have an expertise in plaster of Paris, papier-mâché & acrylic paint.
Mankind is due for moving to a higher consciousness plane. The same way the suffering of gazelles killed by lions make the species stronger, the suffering of mankind will help us move to the next consciousness level. A greater good comes for the species. The next level is the rejection of greed, materialism and selfishness. Our current capitalist system need to collapse in order to achieve this. If you're not ready spiritually, and doesn't move up, you'll suffer. This is happening now, seek God.
Because its sexist to assume that someone would commit the first sin because of their sex.
If the bible had simply said that Eve happened to be the one who sinned, but didn't attribute it to her sex (and therefore imply that all innocent women in the future be blamed for it), then that wouldn't be sexist.
Because evolution is a fact, it means there was no Adam and Eve. No Adam and Eve means there was no forbidden fruit. No forbidden fruit means there was no original sin. Since there was no original sin, there is no need for the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. No Jesus no Christ. No Christ no dogma. No dogma no religion. No religion no Christianity.
Original sin is the crux of the Christian religion. With out it, the Jesus myth has no foundation. If "original sin" is not meant literally, than it ceases to exist as a reason for the death and resurrection of Jesus in the Christian fairy tale.
To take any supernatural claims from the bible as literal fact, only displays the stupidity of Christians themselves.

@scotttebben can you prove evolution is valid? NO cause there is none ,archeologists have more than provided evidence of biblical ties with the earth ,the places ,names of kings & heroes ,its all there & the flood in noah's day is the reason for so many tall mountains & disfigured foundations ,get your facts straight ,you obviously want to continue in your sin which seems easier along with lust & materialistic things of this world.
@gundum1o1 to serve Christ feels so much more sound in my heart cause who can be against me with him on my side? (as said in the scriptures) even if you were to come after me in spite ,he can deliver me ,nothing is too hard or impossible for my creator & he is your creator as well ,he can do all the same for you,no matter how inevitable it may seem,he will fight for you (can be anything of the kind) for it says in the scriptures "take it all (not some) ALL to God in prayer & he will be there =)
@gundum1o1 There is no way you can distinguish beyond reasonable doubt between a world in which the god you believe in is real and exists, and a world in which the god you believe in does not exist and is only in your mind when you are faithful, and is nonexistent when you are not.
If there was, religion would be science.. it is not science precisely for this very reason, and any attempt ever made to bridge that gap has failed miserably beyond comprehension in the eyes of the faithful.
@GronTheMighty So in the end, what is your compromise? Do you not believe in some kind of entity? Surely the Universe is too great and awesome for any other way & overall for the protection of this planet in the cosmos with so many comets flying around that have hit other planets with the impact the size of the earth ....think of that -_-
@gundum1o1 We are one amongst trilions of ways life found to stick around by imperfectly replicating, against incredibly harsh conditions with only a few mediating factors allowing continuation. This is hardly a universe built to sustain human life, we comprise less than a percent of a hundredth of a percent of the mass in the universe, let alone on planet earth. If a god exists, it exists within the universe, as the word defines existence in that existence requires time and space.
@gundum1o1 We, humans, have been around for at best around 100.000 years, which is the flick of an eye in comparison to the 5bya the earth has existed, or the 15bya age of the universe. If you attribute this one species to the sole will of an overly intelligent and overly powerful being, then i think the question is then begged ; what did this being pass the time with for the other 14,999,900,000 years? something less important?
It is wishful, therefore i doubt it the harder not to be fooled.
@gundum1o1 Don't misunderstand me, however, i do wish there was an almighty being defining the meaning of everything, hidden away from our peering eyes in some unknown timeless, spaceless, massless way. My wish for this does just not lead to confirming that i do in fact think this is the case, regardless of any good argumentation i've heard, for it is still the very definition of a god that fails to hold itself together when faced with even the simplest questions in every case ever made for one.
@gundum1o1 So, in conclusion to answering you, i have to ask : what is god?
I don't mean to say 'who is god', because the personality is supposedly depicted in any number of books depending on wether you are christian, jew, muslim, or hindu.
I don't mean to say 'where is god', because this question is always deflected by placing the target of worship outside of the word we label existence, which gets us no further.
I Could be understood to say 'how IS god', because i need to understand.
@GronTheMighty Simple ,God IS the embodiment of everything that has come into existence ,my friend..have you forgotten this is a fallen world? The failing of the idea you speak of can be translated as faith consumed by doubt ,God does not give us the spirit of fear or doubt ,so many people have no idea how that serpent of old,the devil has manipulated their minds into thinking the access of God's power is too hard to comprehend or grasp, just as he whispered the cunning lies to Eve
@gundum1o1 That is plainly nonsensical, you're talking in riddles as if that is supposed to convince me of anything.. As if you think you can trick me into thinking as you do.
You talk lofty and purposefully of something you still haven't explained what is, 'the embodiment of everything that has come into existence' is not a sentence that makes any sense in terms of defining anything at all apart from "universe". If you merely change a simple label to a more complex one, why change it?
@gundum1o1 Furthermore, if you even wish to discuss matters like this in a serious way, words like "embodiment" aren't acceptable as a definition of existence because it is a word depicting the transition of a quality of a metaphysically defined entity into a physically defined entity, not the transition of the entity itself.. that is simply put very poor use of language, sorry to say it so bluntly, but it is true that words mean what they mean so that we can have meaning in our conversations.
@GronTheMighty Well im sorry if my reply was too simple for ya & trick you? lol To think so highly of myself would be bliss ,no one can hope to accomplish such foolishness in this day & age ,to put it frankly,we do not wish to use such complexity in EVERY argument of opposition cause it only aids in straying further from the point imo...
@gundum1o1 Alright, i'll try to cut to the bone ; I haven't ever been presented with any reason why i should believe any of the gods other humans believe in exists in reality.
I've been presented with loads and loads of flawed arguments, circular reasoning, and ad nauseum of bogus claims and completely incorrect statements of fact that was aimed specifically at making me believe what i am more and more starting to consider as just plain super-egotism anthropomorphised. 'you got any more?
@JesusSuckedGayPenis And here's another one for you ,just recently while shooting a film of Isac & Abraham ,the actors follow the script as follows : and Abraham took his son Isac into the mount of Moria ,then bound his hands, lay him on the altar, then covered his sight with the palm of hand. Now in case you dont know ,God asked him to take his only son's life as a sign of obedience but as the actor was about to play this out,the clouds rolled apart & a marvelous light shone.
@JesusSuckedGayPenis (continued) what i'm saying here is,just like in the story from the bible ,the clouds actually ripped apart as he was about to fulfill the role of taking his son's life with a blade raised in the air & its exactly you think im saying ,it wasnt special effects ,actually there was no plan for lighting at all during the scene & to top it off ,everywhere was naturally overcast with darkclouds & suddenly,as far as the eye can see, every cloud & sky was bright
@JesusSuckedGayPenis Last Point: So this was just last year of December & that just goes to show ,the Lord is still watching my friend ,dont take him for granted ,you WILL stand before him someday in judgement (which is soon) and be shown literally before your eyes, the error of your ways ,remember the story of the wise virgins? They were invited to the king's party & went in time before the doors closed but the foolish virgins feel asleep & were told by the king,i dont know u
Your lack of cognitive skill is more than apparent. This unfortunate impediment is no fault of your own. Many people have to come to terms with their intellectual short comings. The important thing to remember is, if you have your physical health you are still fortunate and can live a long productive life.
Yes, it is validated by the tons of evidence spanning six distinct fields of science. There is in geographical distribution, geological strata, the extensive transitional fossil record, modern medicine, comparative physiology, and comparative genetics. And even if the rest of it never existed, study of DNA and genetics all by itself is enough to confirm common ancestry as a fact.
I guess thats why women dont know how to cook, clean, breast feed their babies, raise thier kids and be good wives then??!! wow...alright feminist women! awesome job! and the divorce rate rises daily! great move...the Bible has it right....these clowns just dont believe in A God who sets the rules...may be they can get advise from their monkey ancestors....oh i forgot....monkeys also mistreat their mates...oh...well...what will they invent now?
@the108dragons Why do men get to work, explore, run the world simple by virtue of them having a penis? Who says women who are successful in the 'masculine' world can't cook, clean, breast feed, and be a good wife? And I'd rather have higher divorce rates than have women stuck in abusive or unhealthy relationships because other people think it's wrong for them to be liberated. As for your monkey comment, there is too much wrong with it for me to even bother.
I often think similar about Adam. In the story, Eve had to be convinced that it was good to eat the fruit, but after she ate it she simply handed it to Adam (who was with her but didn't say anything) and he just ate it without any comment. How can anybody think that this guy was the smarter of the two?
@inotaishu1 Yes but the Adam and Eve story also brings to mind a sort of infedelity; Eve was tempted by an outside influence and she submitted, whereas Adam was tempted by his wife, someone who he should be able to trust. So Adam was being a good husband and Eve was essentially being unfaithful and breaking not only her bond with God but her bond with her husband. That's why Eve's punishment (childbirth) is given to her as well as the need to til the earth. Yey feminist theory....
@DreamerbyDeseption Doesn't matter, he heard exactly the same thing Eve heard and unlike her he didn't even struggle. In addition even if Eve ate the fruit Adam could have still refused. But he didn't do anything and if you call that little fruit in Eve's hand already temptation than your standards for that seem to be very low. In addition in the Christian religion being faithful to God is more important than to other people. So you cannot lay the blame on Eve.

An honest Theist does not and has never existed. The religious lie both intentionally and unintentionally. To lie to one self, is the foundation of blind faith. Faith is a cop-out. It is intellectual bankruptcy. If the only way they can accept an assertion is by faith, then they are conceding that it can't be taken on its own merits.
God is a myth. The time to believe in a god is when there is proof one exists. It is those making the ridicules claims that bare the burden of proof. There may be werewolves and leprechauns too, but unless some one finds one you have to be dimwitted and a gullible fool to believe any claims of the supernatural are real.
Good pamphlet/book by Annie Laurie Gaylor -- "Woe to the Women: The Bible Tells Me So" -- shows how negative the Bible, and therefore religion, is toward women.
Why would Adam self-sacrifice to join the fallen Eve? That's ridiculous. He could have called on God and said, "Hey, I have lots more ribs. Let's get the next one right. Maybe make a hot redhead for me after we throw this dumb bitch out of Eden."
@whitesquirrel7 Sure, He might do that to mask His imperfection and inability to create a woman without flaw. Eve was just the start of His screwed up projects.
@whitesquirrel7 Following that logic, everything should be flawed because (for some unknown reason) God's male. And nothing's perfect, therefore God exists. Uh oh, we have an Edward Current-style proof of God here! Someone help me out of this one!
completely and absolutely unture, inequality? It is amazing how unture this thought is. He is very very misguided and he lusts after his own intelligence. He doesn't want the truth, he wants to be right.
Lol. Adam dumb? "God...this one ain't workin' out.... Let's get rid of this one and make a new one. ... That's what the righteous man does." LOL. Who are these guys? That ain't righteous. Neither is it love...since they are ONE AND THE SAME attribute. He did it because he LOVED Eve, because Adam being in His perfect condition could not remain with Eve who had now been submitted under sin and it's control. I would almost rather these dudes say the account didn't happen. Silly
@pleonrhyme - Actually, according to the original Jewish text, Adam's first wife was Lilith. And that's exactly what he did to her. She didn't like that he was treating her as his inferior and she said "I want equality." He got pissed and whined to Yahweh and Yahweh commanded her to be subservient. She rejected the pompous claim and Yahweh turned her created Adam a new wife out of his RIB this time so she could be just as stupid and subservient. Lilith (the snake) then cons them out. So there.
@YourDarkAccomplice: Thank you for response. I'm actually a Christian who believes the story of Lilith, and know that it in fact fits in the Biblical text. In fact, she is the one who was "CREATED" with Adam in Genesis 1:27. A deeper study came also led me to the conclusion that EVE was just as perfect as her husband, Adam. However, she was deceived VERY cunningly by the serpent, making her believe that she could be resurrected and/or live eternally even after eating the fruit.
@YourDarkAccomplice: But God KNEW exactly what was going to happen. And in fact KNEW He was going to use the situation to allow for death to be brought into the world, SO THAT God the Son could come thru human lineage and DIE for the sins of the world AND ultimately seal the judgment of satan, who cannot be tried without the testimony of at least 2 witnesses in both Heaven and in Earth. It has to do with God's PERFECT JUSTICE, in that He WILL NOT even judge satan outside of it. Amen.
@pleonrhyme So if Yahweh is so perfect that means all this conflict is redundant. That means he knew this "Satan" character (an invention of the Church) would rebel and eventually cause people pain and suffering. That means he would KNOW that Satan would mislead victims away from Yahweh (the Jewish deity) and therefore it is CRUEL for him to punish humans for being victim over a creature which the bible describes as invisible and guile. "Amen" What's the obsession with MEN, in the bible, anyway?
@YourDarkAccomplice: Again, thank you for the response. Yahweh IS PERFECT. The reason for the conflict is because satan has a deliberate agenda to destroy humanity--- Yahweh's most precious creation. Satan has already been judged (by Jesus Christ's death at the cross), and is awaiting sentencing (i.e. eternal damnation in the lake of fire.) The reason God has not done that yet, is because God is giving time for individuals to receive Jesus Christ, who is humanity's ONLY escape from judgment.
@pleonrhyme - Dude, you actually think I'm going to read your Jewish dogma? It's mythology. It isn't REAL. That's why you need FAITH to believe in it. If I'd known you'd waste your time writing all that rubbish I would never have left you a comment to have you waste your time. Everything you've said has always been debunked as bogus and I simply have no time to explain and debate something so silly. Celtic mythology is far more interesting to me, anyway. Better for debating also.
@pleonrhyme - Thanks for understanding. It's just tough arguing about sensitive things like beliefs because not everyone (even Christians) share the same one. I respect you for your beliefs but I don't agree with it (just as you don't agree with me.) I hope you have a nice day, though. Take care. :)
@YourDarkAccomplice: No, it's ok. And thanks for the amicable response. I've had some people, who don't even know me, get REEEAL nasty about it... name calling, cussing, etc. And I understand that Christians don't all have the same view, but I am one who studies quite intently. The Bible is fascinating. I once almost lost my faith BECAUSE OF what I was taught about the Bible until I read it for myself. That's why I told you I believe in Lilith... because she's in there.>>>>
@YourDarkAccomplice And I like sharing what I know about the Bible with other people. Hey, I know Christians can be obnoxious. Heck, I've been one. lol. But I am secure in my faith, and just want people to give Jesus Christ and His Word a chance. If you ever have questions about the Bible, and you care to discuss, let me know. Take care.
@pleonrhyme - Haha, you've earned my respect. We need more Christians like you around. It's ok to believe whatever you wish to, so long as you're secure in your faith and don't get upset when others have different opinions. Thanks for the offer, btw. But I have a history of being an "obnoxious Christian" myself who felt she knew it all simply because she studied, read and even researched older texts while "feeling" the holy spirit. So I doubt I'd have any questions. Warm regards
@YourDarkAccomplice: Thanks. Can I ask what changed your faith? The funny thing about me is that when I got scarred in church and felt lied to, I dug deeper in the Bible, and found that most of what people were telling me, they had little understanding of. In fact, God had to temper me, because I became very resistant to people, as I engulfed myself in the Bible. But I don't take back what I learned. God answered A LOT of questions during that time for me.
@pleonrhyme -Sure. I'll tell you what changed my faith, however, I don't want to flood the comment sections too much so if you want to go deeper into the topic feel free to send me a mail on YT. What changed me was actually reading the bible. It was an Easter day and I was filled with love and joy overflooding my heart. I opened the book and began to read.. I read the book thoroughly (took me a long while) but I learned that this was not a god of love. At all. He just changed as people later did
"There's nothing in the Bible or Christianity...that talks about equality." Are you serious? "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:28 That verse is CLEARLY about equality. You know you can't just read the Bible ONE time, and think you have it ALL memorized. And people have to be careful saying that it stuff isn't in the Bible. Say "I don't recall..."
To evolve means to change, Darwinian change (evolution) states emphatically that animalcules "evolved" into mastodons. The burden of proof lies with the claimants and allegorists who broadcast these Sumerian fairy stories. Just stating that simian and Man are one, and bolstering this shaky postulation with help from the graphic arts' department isn't enough. Produce the human ancestral relics! You'll needs shovels and public grant money.
@TheManWithTVEyes Are you saying living things DON'T change? or are you admitting that evolution is a fact and they do change? Once you admit change and that the change is inheritable then all you need is a selection pressure for nature to act on and a single cell can change (by incremental steps over millions of years) into a mastodon. After all you changed from a cell into a baby human in 9 months. It is DNA evidence that confirms common ancestry, although all the fossils support it too.
@1empathy : Tadpoles become frogs, caterpillars become butterflies. Fennec foxes do not become Chihuahuas. There's no proof, because it's never been observed, that unicellular life has evolved into highly-structured creatures. Evolutionists are the most confounding of religionists. They make grand pronouncements, as if they know, as to how life was on our planet billions of years ago. It's curious that chemical evolution is seldom discussed.
@TheManWithTVEyes You really don't understand do you? Let's keep things simple, first answer this question, do you accept the FACT of evolution, that living things change genetically over time?
« It's curious that chemical evolution is seldom discussed. »
There's an entire cross-disciplinary branch of science dedicated to formulating and testing hypotheses relating to the origins of life, you yoghurt brain. It's called abiogenesis research.
@XGralgrathor just subscribed, you've got sabbath's planet caravan playing in the background on your "who has killed more people" video, so i just had to. This guy themanwithtveyes is beyond help i think.
Nope: those were confirmed frauds and mistakes. I was talking about:
Sahelanthropus tchadensis, Orrorin tugenensis, Ardipithecus ramidus, Australopithecus anamensis, Kenyanthropus platyops, A. afarensis, A. africanus, A. garhi, A. aethiopicus, A. robustus, A. boisei, Homo habilis, H. floresiensis, H. georgicus, H. erectus, H. ergaster, H. antecessor, H. heidelbergensis, and so on.
Many critters of Earth share traits. Why should they not? The supposition that vole-sized animals are now elephant-sized animals is not bolstered with relics. Ancestral relics, human & otherwise, do not exist, as plagiarist, eugenicist Darwin said they must in order for his Sumerian-based postulations to prove viable. Unearthing extinct simian bone slivers, assigning to them Latin handles, and philosophizing as to their "obvious" proto-human lineage/linkage is not scientific.
@TheManWithTVEyes It is clear from your comment that you do not know what science says on evolution. Evolution is a fact, the diversity of life is a fact, and the modern theory of evolution is the best scientific explanation of those facts. We would have arrived at the same explanation without darwin (so why bother to tell lies about him?), by examination of the fossil evidence, genetics and the work of his contemparies; wallace, mendel, matthews etc.
@1empathy : You're attempting to lump together theoretical science (which is a confliction of terms as fact & theory are diametrically opposed) with bona fide science (science fr. the Latin "scire" : to know). Life on Earth is diverse, wondrous, awe-inspiring & defiant of simplified (and kooky) explanations delivered to us by corporate-funded, bearded men wearing elbow patches on smoking jackets. Do you possess a thesaurus listing FACT as a synonym of THEORY? Of course you don't.
@TheManWithTVEyes Try reading my post. I clearly state that the theory EXPLAINS the facts. You have just demonstrated your inability to read and understand information. This probably explains your initial comment and your attempt to use the etymology of a word as its definition. The enterprise of science combines theoretical and applied aspects in the scientific method to establish an understanding of reality, something you do not have.
@TheManWithTVEyes But evolution is a fact. "Evolution" simply means change over time, so biological evolution is genetic change over time. No one disputes the FACT of evolution (including young earth creationists like kent hovind, ken ham etc; in fact everybody til i met you). Creationists argue against the THEORY of evolution. The theory explains how change occurs and how that change produces the diversity of life. How can you be against something you know next to nothing about?!
these kinds of relationships still exist today. Take a look at the most religious countries in the world and you will see how the abrahamic religions affect the sexes. turn of the 20th century north america was similar to Iran when it comes to womens rights, minus the burka.
Kent Hovind would tell you that Satan was an angel and chose to go off and do his own thing after God made Adam and Eve in the Garden. Now, God works in mysterious ways. If man could understand God and why He does what He does, He wouldn't be God. It is arrogant to think we could understand God. Therefore, I render your argument invalid. But, Jesus still loves you!
@general440lee You say "If man could understand God and why He does what He does, He wouldn't be God". You say this with no evidence that a god even exists. Have you no idea how insane you sound?
@general440lee WOW! an amazing example of religious closed mindedness...u see this is where the God Doen't Exist argument comes in. We can't understand his doings, because he doesn't exist. it really is as simple as that...although u could always go the Pantheist way.
You took what Hovind said out of context. The snake came to Eve since she would be easier to deceive than Adam, BECAUSE she did not see God create anything, as opposed to Adam, who did. Then, Adam made a conscious choice to stick with her. Not sexist. Therefore, I render your argument invalid. But, Jesus still loves you!
@general440lee If the garden of eden story is true then god created the snake in the first place. Why would he create a creature designed to be evil? What a MISTAKE that was. That story just proves god is fallible and has no planning skills whatsoever. "Im gonna make a talking snake that will try and tempt the humans ive created. but i know they will be decieved because i made them innocent and the snake evil." retarded. god is retarded if this is true.
I have other pressing issues myself, I have twenty designs I need to have finished by tomorrow, they aren't going to design themselves, not in the real world anyway, so I will leave you to your nihilism. You asked for a link, I gave it to you, watch it, don't watch it, it's up to you. I don't care. I have a job to keep, and they don't grow on trees here in Michigan, not anymore.
@jammapcb Alphas produce hot air, betas the actual product. In the event of a nuclear holocaust, I would prefer a good mechanic to the CEO of a fortune 500. Hahaha!
@youngoldbones alphas actually lead (if you are talking about suits and politicians your right but then they are not leaders just puppets !.... (alpha males + alpha females = strong offspring)... i didnt make the rules nature did!... we are the outcome of the successes of the previous generation... when a flaw hits it hits hard.. and its game over! .. but what is left is tip top!!
But like I said, I only popped in here to take issue with sexism, evolution allows for all kinds of indignities against gender, race, intelligence, handicapped people. Try to remember that Oliver Wendal Holmes and Adolph Hitler were both big proponents of natural selection. Holmes sought to sterilize people he thought inferior, Hitler sought to kill them. A little TRUE belief in God and justice would have saved a lot of grief for many innocent people.
@Greg111076 dam your so wrong... and like to sulk in black and white illusions!... no offense but nature has been selectively killing without discrimination for many eons... we, I, you are the successes of the strong in nature... trust in that.. it is there for a dam good reason!!.. imagine a chain of offspring with all the major fuckups past on.. how cruel is that... nature prunes the weak and they die... deal with that part... but of course you cant blame nature can you it will beat u..
@jammapcb Hitler's parents were Catholics, Hitler himself . . . Uuuhh not so much. Even Atheists are raised in religion, are we to count them as Catholics, Baptists whatever, just because their parents took them to church. No. Hitler was an Atheist, pure and simple.
@youngoldbones yet im an atheist but that has nothing to do with genocide intentions... actions define us not our beliefs and fantasies ..also god is (the ultimate atheist)... like nature though there is a sense of irony with that... you think your at the top of the shit pile and thus important in the big picture right!.. wrong... the bottom feeder is the most important lifeform on this planet without it nothing above could exist in our form.. like i said the irony is amazing lol...
@youngoldbones He said he was catholic and got the votes of many because he said he did. So perhaps he was an Atheist. Perhaps he wasn't. If he publicly said he wasn't then you think anyone would have supported him? Probably not - so perhaps he isn't to blame for the atrocities - perhaps its those religious people who followed so blindly instead of weighing up the facts of the arguments. Hmmm sound like something we have heard before? Science VS Religion? Use facts instead of faith.
Some people are uncomfortable with the idea of God, take Hitchens for instance. His reaction to the idea of being watched over by God was highly emotional. It made me doubt his views as they appeared not objective, instead rather his conclusion, that there is no God, seems to be the only reality he could bear to envision.
@Greg111076 nah you got that wrong.he's talking about the BS about an ideal fantasy god made by men... or first cause..but then that doesn't make sense either.the question is not if a god exists or not.. but the integrity of the people who wrote about this concept IS in question..who are they.IT DOESNT SAY.or they simply dont know.. or have very little to go on.so my answer is WHY in all the blue bollox would I waste my life on this crazy stuff when there are more pressing matters to deal with!
@Greg111076 If you believe in the bible (i asume you do) then the bible is full of sexist remarks. It pretty much says that women should only be breeding machines and nothing more. Thats not sexist? Either way I dont believe in a deity myself (no evidence). Despite this of course its man made. Everything mankind has done has been to themselves.
@Xellith Corinthians 34. Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
Collosians 3:18 18. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands
etc etc. Fact is the bible is sexist, racist and many other things. But its man made so...
@Greg111076 spoken by man and not by god? so basically if its written by man and its in the bible then disregard it completely? “Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you” (Gen 3:16b)
Spoken by god. (supposedly but I call bs on that book). And back to one of your last statements - "I only got into this thread to point out that God did not create sexism, man did". No - you said "Evolutionists are guilty of marginalizing women". instead of "HUMANS".
I would expect a good deal more sexism in evolution, If you doubt this, just listen to Christopher Hitchens speak of women's inherent deficiencies attributable to evolution. God did not subordinate women to men, Mankind's fall in the garden accomplished that. After we took the reigns for our own destiny, it was all downhill from there.
@thorsday121 Evolutionists are guilty of marginalizing women, just listen to Christopher Hitchens on the topic, he has very definite ideas of womens strengths and weaknesses (intellectually, not physical) based on gender roles through the ages. Don't paint Godlessness as the key to womens freedoms, because it surely is not. Quite the opposite. If you could read the Genesis story properly you would know that God pronounced how things would be, not as he intended they should be, due to the fall.
@Greg111076 Not all Atheists believe in evolution. not all Atheists believe that women are inferior to men. That's a great thing about Atheism. U can believe what you want based on the evidence. I personally believe in evolution because.. well.. the evidence is just too compelling. However by reading the bible if you dont believe all women should be oppressed and are just breeding machines then you are NOT a christian at all but a pathetic person who cant even follow his own teachings. sad
@Xellith It's evident that evolution adherents/atheists are unpleasant people, a fact that I will note here as you have already descended to name calling. Not surprised that you have missed my main point here, that God had not intended for women to be second class citizens, that man was divided into male and female and were co-caretakers in the garden. It was after the FALL that God pronounced their sentence, not that God was to make it so, but that man left to his own device would do so.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@Greg111076, I don't mean to intrude on your debate here, I'm agnostic and i have to point a few things out.
1) If God created man and woman as equal as you say, Then what of the story of Lilith whom was created equal to Adam and created her from the same soil and then threw her out of the garden of eden because she would not become subservient to him.
2) If god was all knowing, Why did god plant the tree of knowledge in the garden of eden if he knew eve would eat from it?
@Xellith As to evolution, the evidence is pretty compelling against it as well. But then you have far more faith than I so enjoy the life that billions of accidental occurrences happening in just the right order has given you.Ssince you have chosen to believe in that explanation for your existence, I won't try to disabuse you. It seems to have been chosen for you not to know God. But I doubt Darwin would even hold to his theory nowadays, but smug atheists like you can't accept a higher power.
@Greg111076 What evidence is against evolution? And the whole thing of all these accidental occurrences. Evolution also is not random and has not occurred in any intelligent order. We could just as easily have NOT evolved into human beings given the chance environment that we were allowed. And remember this is evolution over millions of years. Its not like we just evolved yesterday. Grow up. But seriously give me some evidence against evolution. I have seen NONE - and I look for it.
@Xellith I on the other hand can name quite a few things from the bible that are contradictory. ISA 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. DEU 24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
Bible is just RIDDLED with contradictions. Science is not
@Xellith You need only look to one of Evolutions best proponents to find the weaknesses in the Evolution theory. Dawkins himself issued a statement concluding as much, though he would deny it. I have come to the conclusion that Evolution is a lie. You of course are at liberty to bind yourself to that lie, for eternity. Which I am sure you will, as people make a choice in these matters. Which is pretty much according to the Bible as well, some are called to believe others not.
@Greg111076 you haven't the intelligence to understand the googleplex's of possible outcomes to ever reach a conclusion...that sounds like arrogance and someone who hasn't done much research..but we can skip all that and use physics instead...EVERYTHING IN THIS UNIVERSE CHANGES..IT DICTATES ALL OUTCOMES ABOVE THE atom.. THUS evolution is only 1 set of this inevitable chaos..I know its tough but everything around you is changing including your limited child like religions which also follow suit!
@Xellith I cannot distill my lifetime search for the truth into something digestible here. More's the pity for you, because at the heart of your disbelief lies the fact that you have neither the intellectual curiosity nor the desire to fairly weigh the evidence, and for you the lie suffices. I can only state what I believe, you will do the same. Both require faith, mine not as much as yours.

No, they are not just "people with questions". They are people who try to answer those questions not with the simplest or most likely answer, but with whichever answer will justify their preconceived paranoia.

No, nor should you blindly assume they are always lying to you. There are historical cases of govt. lies, but there are a lot more historical cases of govt. telling the truth. People forget about the latter ones because they're less interesting.

Dissent is different than flailing contradiction and unjustified suspicion of subterfuge. I will exhibit dissent against, for example, the patriot act based on my analysis of it. That doesn't mean I will assume the authors of it engineered the 9/11 attacks so that they could enact it.

(1) I don't want to work for a living.
(2) I don't want to pay taxes.
(3) I can get gullible fundamentalists to send me money.
(4) I can use religious exemption claims to tie the IRS up in court.

A creature shares musculo-skeletal traits with an otherwise dissimilar creature and BINGO—common ancestor! There's no proof, of course, but one must never underestimate the power of grant money.

Hovind believes that Adam sacrafised himself for Eve who sinned? How the fuck can that be preceived as sexist?

atimor 4 months ago

@atimor That's still not sexist, if it was the other way round it would fine wouldn't it?
RoaccVideos 4 months ago

(as said in the scriptures) even if you were to come after me in spite ,he can deliver me ,nothing is too hard or impossible for my creator & he is your creator as well ,he can do all the same for you,no matter how inevitable it may seem,he will fight for you (can be anything of the kind) for it says in the scriptures "take it all (not some) ALL to God in prayer & he will be there =)
gundum1o1 2 months ago
@gundum1o1 There is no way you can distinguish beyond reasonable doubt between a world in which the god you believe in is real and exists, and a world in which the god you believe in does not exist and is only in your mind when you are faithful, and is nonexistent when you are not.
If there was, religion would be science.. it is not science precisely for this very reason, and any attempt ever made to bridge that gap has failed miserably beyond comprehension in the eyes of the faithful.

@GronTheMighty So in the end, what is your compromise? Do you not believe in some kind of entity? Surely the Universe is too great and awesome for any other way & overall for the protection of this planet in the cosmos with so many comets flying around that have hit other planets with the impact the size of the earth ....think of that -_-
gundum1o1 3 weeks ago
@gundum1o1 We are one amongst trilions of ways life found to stick around by imperfectly replicating, against incredibly harsh conditions with only a few mediating factors allowing continuation. This is hardly a universe built to sustain human life, we comprise less than a percent of a hundredth of a percent of the mass in the universe, let alone on planet earth. If a god exists, it exists within the universe, as the word defines existence in that existence requires time and space.
GronTheMighty 3 weeks ago
@gundum1o1 We, humans, have been around for at best around 100.000 years, which is the flick of an eye in comparison to the 5bya the earth has existed, or the 15bya age of the universe. If you attribute this one species to the sole will of an overly intelligent and overly powerful being, then i think the question is then begged ; what did this being pass the time with for the other 14,999,900,000 years? something less important?
It is wishful, therefore i doubt it the harder not to be fooled.
GronTheMighty 3 weeks ago
@gundum1o1 Don't misunderstand me, however, i do wish there was an almighty being defining the meaning of everything, hidden away from our peering eyes in some unknown timeless, spaceless, massless way. My wish for this does just not lead to confirming that i do in fact think this is the case, regardless of any good argumentation i've heard, for it is still the very definition of a god that fails to hold itself together when faced with even the simplest questions in every case ever made for one.
GronTheMighty 3 weeks ago
@gundum1o1 So, in conclusion to answering you, i have to ask : what is god?
I don't mean to say 'who is god', because the personality is supposedly depicted in any number of books depending on wether you are christian, jew, muslim, or hindu.
I don't mean to say 'where is god', because this question is always deflected by placing the target of worship outside of the word we label existence, which gets us no further.
I Could be understood to say 'how IS god', because i need to understand.
GronTheMighty 3 weeks ago
@GronTheMighty Simple ,God IS the embodiment of everything that has come into existence ,my friend..have you forgotten this is a fallen world? The failing of the idea you speak of can be translated as faith consumed by doubt ,God does not give us the spirit of fear or doubt ,so many people have no idea how that serpent of old,the devil has manipulated their minds into thinking the access of God's power is too hard to comprehend or grasp, just as he whispered the cunning lies to Eve
gundum1o1 3 weeks ago
@gundum1o1 That is plainly nonsensical, you're talking in riddles as if that is supposed to convince me of anything.. As if you think you can trick me into thinking as you do.
You talk lofty and purposefully of something you still haven't explained what is, 'the embodiment of everything that has come into existence' is not a sentence that makes any sense in terms of defining anything at all apart from "universe". If you merely change a simple label to a more complex one, why change it?
GronTheMighty 3 weeks ago
@gundum1o1 Furthermore, if you even wish to discuss matters like this in a serious way, words like "embodiment" aren't acceptable as a definition of existence because it is a word depicting the transition of a quality of a metaphysically defined entity into a physically defined entity, not the transition of the entity itself.. that is simply put very poor use of language, sorry to say it so bluntly, but it is true that words mean what they mean so that we can have meaning in our conversations.
GronTheMighty 3 weeks ago
@GronTheMighty Well im sorry if my reply was too simple for ya & trick you? lol To think so highly of myself would be bliss ,no one can hope to accomplish such foolishness in this day & age ,to put it frankly,we do not wish to use such complexity in EVERY argument of opposition cause it only aids in straying further from the point imo...

Now in case you dont know ,God asked him to take his only son's life as a sign of obedience but as the actor was about to play this out,the clouds rolled apart & a marvelous light shone.

scotttebben 2 months ago
@gundum1o1 "can you prove evolution is valid?"

I often think similar about Adam. In the story, Eve had to be convinced that it was good to eat the fruit, but after she ate it she simply handed it to Adam (who was with her but didn't say anything) and he just ate it without any comment. How can anybody think that this guy was the smarter of the two?
inotaishu1 4 months ago
@inotaishu1 Yes but the Adam and Eve story also brings to mind a sort of infedelity; Eve was tempted by an outside influence and she submitted, whereas Adam was tempted by his wife, someone who he should be able to trust. So Adam was being a good husband and Eve was essentially being unfaithful and breaking not only her bond with God but her bond with her husband. That's why Eve's punishment (childbirth) is given to her as well as the need to til the earth. Yey feminist theory....
DreamerbyDeseption 4 months ago
@DreamerbyDeseption Doesn't matter, he heard exactly the same thing Eve heard and unlike her he didn't even struggle. In addition even if Eve ate the fruit Adam could have still refused. But he didn't do anything and if you call that little fruit in Eve's hand already temptation than your standards for that seem to be very low. In addition in the Christian religion being faithful to God is more important than to other people. So you cannot lay the blame on Eve.

pleonrhyme 6 months ago
@pleonrhyme - Actually, according to the original Jewish text, Adam's first wife was Lilith. And that's exactly what he did to her. She didn't like that he was treating her as his inferior and she said "I want equality." He got pissed and whined to Yahweh and Yahweh commanded her to be subservient. She rejected the pompous claim and Yahweh turned her created Adam a new wife out of his RIB this time so she could be just as stupid and subservient. Lilith (the snake) then cons them out. So there.
YourDarkAccomplice 6 months ago
@YourDarkAccomplice: Thank you for response. I'm actually a Christian who believes the story of Lilith, and know that it in fact fits in the Biblical text. In fact, she is the one who was "CREATED" with Adam in Genesis 1:27. A deeper study came also led me to the conclusion that EVE was just as perfect as her husband, Adam. However, she was deceived VERY cunningly by the serpent, making her believe that she could be resurrected and/or live eternally even after eating the fruit.
pleonrhyme 6 months ago
@YourDarkAccomplice: But God KNEW exactly what was going to happen. And in fact KNEW He was going to use the situation to allow for death to be brought into the world, SO THAT God the Son could come thru human lineage and DIE for the sins of the world AND ultimately seal the judgment of satan, who cannot be tried without the testimony of at least 2 witnesses in both Heaven and in Earth. It has to do with God's PERFECT JUSTICE, in that He WILL NOT even judge satan outside of it. Amen.
pleonrhyme 6 months ago
@pleonrhyme So if Yahweh is so perfect that means all this conflict is redundant. That means he knew this "Satan" character (an invention of the Church) would rebel and eventually cause people pain and suffering. That means he would KNOW that Satan would mislead victims away from Yahweh (the Jewish deity) and therefore it is CRUEL for him to punish humans for being victim over a creature which the bible describes as invisible and guile. "Amen" What's the obsession with MEN, in the bible, anyway?
YourDarkAccomplice 6 months ago
@YourDarkAccomplice: Again, thank you for the response. Yahweh IS PERFECT. The reason for the conflict is because satan has a deliberate agenda to destroy humanity--- Yahweh's most precious creation. Satan has already been judged (by Jesus Christ's death at the cross), and is awaiting sentencing (i.e. eternal damnation in the lake of fire.) The reason God has not done that yet, is because God is giving time for individuals to receive Jesus Christ, who is humanity's ONLY escape from judgment.
pleonrhyme 6 months ago
@pleonrhyme - Dude, you actually think I'm going to read your Jewish dogma? It's mythology. It isn't REAL. That's why you need FAITH to believe in it. If I'd known you'd waste your time writing all that rubbish I would never have left you a comment to have you waste your time. Everything you've said has always been debunked as bogus and I simply have no time to explain and debate something so silly. Celtic mythology is far more interesting to me, anyway.

Take care.
pleonrhyme 6 months ago
@pleonrhyme - Haha, you've earned my respect. We need more Christians like you around. It's ok to believe whatever you wish to, so long as you're secure in your faith and don't get upset when others have different opinions. Thanks for the offer, btw. But I have a history of being an "obnoxious Christian" myself who felt she knew it all simply because she studied, read and even researched older texts while "feeling" the holy spirit. So I doubt I'd have any questions. Warm regards
YourDarkAccomplice 6 months ago
@YourDarkAccomplice: Thanks. Can I ask what changed your faith? The funny thing about me is that when I got scarred in church and felt lied to, I dug deeper in the Bible, and found that most of what people were telling me, they had little understanding of. In fact, God had to temper me, because I became very resistant to people, as I engulfed myself in the Bible. But I don't take back what I learned. God answered A LOT of questions during that time for me.
pleonrhyme 6 months ago

TheManWithTVEyes 6 months ago

TheManWithTVEyes 6 months ago
@TheManWithTVEyes You really don't understand do you? Let's keep things simple, first answer this question, do you accept the FACT of evolution, that living things change genetically over time?

Many critters of Earth share traits. Why should they not? The supposition that vole-sized animals are now elephant-sized animals is not bolstered with relics. Ancestral relics, human & otherwise, do not exist, as plagiarist, eugenicist Darwin said they must in order for his Sumerian-based postulations to prove viable. Unearthing extinct simian bone slivers, assigning to them Latin handles, and philosophizing as to their "obvious" proto-human lineage/linkage is not scientific.
TheManWithTVEyes 6 months ago
@TheManWithTVEyes It is clear from your comment that you do not know what science says on evolution. Evolution is a fact, the diversity of life is a fact, and the modern theory of evolution is the best scientific explanation of those facts. We would have arrived at the same explanation without darwin (so why bother to tell lies about him?), by examination of the fossil evidence, genetics and the work of his contemparies; wallace, mendel, matthews etc.
1empathy 6 months ago
@1empathy : You're attempting to lump together theoretical science (which is a confliction of terms as fact & theory are diametrically opposed) with bona fide science (science fr. the Latin "scire" : to know). Life on Earth is diverse, wondrous, awe-inspiring & defiant of simplified (and kooky) explanations delivered to us by corporate-funded, bearded men wearing elbow patches on smoking jackets. Do you possess a thesaurus listing FACT as a synonym of THEORY? Of course you don't.
TheManWithTVEyes 6 months ago
@TheManWithTVEyes Try reading my post. I clearly state that the theory EXPLAINS the facts. You have just demonstrated your inability to read and understand information. This probably explains your initial comment and your attempt to use the etymology of a word as its definition. The enterprise of science combines theoretical and applied aspects in the scientific method to establish an understanding of reality, something you do not have.
1empathy 6 months ago
@1empathy : "Evolution is fact," is what you wrote. This defies reality, as it defies the evidence.
TheManWithTVEyes 6 months ago

@Xellith
But, Jesus still loves you!
general440lee 7 months ago
@general440lee You say "If man could understand God and why He does what He does, He wouldn't be God". You say this with no evidence that a god even exists. Have you no idea how insane you sound?
Xellith 7 months ago
@general440lee WOW! an amazing example of religious closed mindedness...u see this is where the God Doen't Exist argument comes in. We can't understand his doings, because he doesn't exist. it really is as simple as that...although u could always go the Pantheist way.
lilangel0072 6 months ago
You took what Hovind said out of context. The snake came to Eve since she would be easier to deceive than Adam, BECAUSE she did not see God create anything, as opposed to Adam, who did. Then, Adam made a conscious choice to stick with her. Not sexist. Therefore, I render your argument invalid. But, Jesus still loves you!
general440lee 7 months ago
@general440lee If the garden of eden story is true then god created the snake in the first place. Why would he create a creature designed to be evil? What a MISTAKE that was. That story just proves god is fallible and has no planning skills whatsoever. "Im gonna make a talking snake that will try and tempt the humans ive created. but i know they will be decieved because i made them innocent and the snake evil." retarded. god is retarded if this is true.

jammapcb 7 months ago
But like I said, I only popped in here to take issue with sexism, evolution allows for all kinds of indignities against gender, race, intelligence, handicapped people. Try to remember that Oliver Wendal Holmes and Adolph Hitler were both big proponents of natural selection. Holmes sought to sterilize people he thought inferior, Hitler sought to kill them. A little TRUE belief in God and justice would have saved a lot of grief for many innocent people.

Greg111076 7 months ago
@Greg111076 nah you got that wrong.he's talking about the BS about an ideal fantasy god made by men... or first cause..but then that doesn't make sense either.the question is not if a god exists or not.. but the integrity of the people who wrote about this concept IS in question..who are they.IT DOESNT SAY.or they simply dont know.. or have very little to go on.so my answer is WHY in all the blue bollox would I waste my life on this crazy stuff when there are more pressing matters to deal with!

Greg111076 7 months ago
@Greg111076 Women are just as important to evolution as men, they birth the babies after all. Yes women have physical deficiencies, but so do men.
thorsday121 7 months ago
@thorsday121 Evolutionists are guilty of marginalizing women, just listen to Christopher Hitchens on the topic, he has very definite ideas of womens strengths and weaknesses (intellectually, not physical) based on gender roles through the ages. Don't paint Godlessness as the key to womens freedoms, because it surely is not. Quite the opposite. If you could read the Genesis story properly you would know that God pronounced how things would be, not as he intended they should be, due to the fall.
Greg111076 7 months ago
@Greg111076 Not all Atheists believe in evolution. not all Atheists believe that women are inferior to men. That's a great thing about Atheism. U can believe what you want based on the evidence. I personally believe in evolution because.. well.. the evidence is just too compelling. However by reading the bible if you dont believe all women should be oppressed and are just breeding machines then you are NOT a christian at all but a pathetic person who cant even follow his own teachings. sad
Xellith 7 months ago
@Xellith It's evident that evolution adherents/atheists are unpleasant people, a fact that I will note here as you have already descended to name calling. Not surprised that you have missed my main point here, that God had not intended for women to be second class citizens, that man was divided into male and female and were co-caretakers in the garden. It was after the FALL that God pronounced their sentence, not that God was to make it so, but that man left to his own device would do so.

Thanks
boomer20009 7 months ago
@boomer20009 There is no record of Lilith in the Torah. "She" is a mythical Babylonian Talmudic figure with no connection to Adam at all.
Greg111076 7 months ago
@Xellith As to evolution, the evidence is pretty compelling against it as well. But then you have far more faith than I so enjoy the life that billions of accidental occurrences happening in just the right order has given you.Ssince you have chosen to believe in that explanation for your existence, I won't try to disabuse you. It seems to have been chosen for you not to know God. But I doubt Darwin would even hold to his theory nowadays, but smug atheists like you can't accept a higher power.
Greg111076 7 months ago
@Greg111076 What evidence is against evolution? And the whole thing of all these accidental occurrences. Evolution also is not random and has not occurred in any intelligent order. We could just as easily have NOT evolved into human beings given the chance environment that we were allowed. And remember this is evolution over millions of years. Its not like we just evolved yesterday. Grow up. But seriously give me some evidence against evolution. I have seen NONE - and I look for it.
Xellith 7 months ago
@Xellith I on the other hand can name quite a few things from the bible that are contradictory. ISA 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. DEU 24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
Bible is just RIDDLED with contradictions. Science is not
Xellith 7 months ago
@Xellith You need only look to one of Evolutions best proponents to find the weaknesses in the Evolution theory. Dawkins himself issued a statement concluding as much, though he would deny it. I have come to the conclusion that Evolution is a lie. You of course are at liberty to bind yourself to that lie, for eternity. Which I am sure you will, as people make a choice in these matters. Which is pretty much according to the Bible as well, some are called to believe others not.
Greg111076 7 months ago
@Greg111076 you haven't the intelligence to understand the googleplex's of possible outcomes to ever reach a conclusion...that sounds like arrogance and someone who hasn't done much research..but we can skip all that and use physics instead...EVERYTHING IN THIS UNIVERSE CHANGES..IT DICTATES ALL OUTCOMES ABOVE THE atom.. THUS evolution is only 1 set of this inevitable chaos..I know its tough but everything around you is changing including your limited child like religions which also follow suit!

Greg111076 7 months ago
@Xellith I cannot distill my lifetime search for the truth into something digestible here. More's the pity for you, because at the heart of your disbelief lies the fact that you have neither the intellectual curiosity nor the desire to fairly weigh the evidence, and for you the lie suffices. I can only state what I believe, you will do the same. Both require faith, mine not as much as yours.
