Some of the animals in this video are not Arabian Oryx. The animals with reddish brown on their necks are Scimitar-horned Oryx (an endangered cousin that lives in the sahara desert.) And although the Sheik played a crucial role in the preservation of this species, he did not work alone. Hundreds of oryx were breed in special breeding programs in US zoos and sent back to the Middle East in the 1980's
illustrated children's storybook "The Tale of The Arabian Gazelle" is set in Arabia & about the wildlife there & the efforts being made to help them, available from Amazon, the book is also sold in aid of animals and sanctuaries
