  • This soundtrack needs to get uploaded soon.

  • This almost makes me want to get a Wii. Almsot.

  • The only thing I hate is that you get infinite jelly beans (but then again, this isn't the 80's and we can't all budget our jellybeans properly...)

  • This game looks like it could be an awesome game. I'll wait and see before I get it.

But this year seems like it will be an awesome year for the Wii. Two Mario games, a Metroid game, a new Sin and Punishment. They're going back to the hardcore players instead of focusing on casual gamers.

  • and I think this will be the year I buy a wii...

I made a very long list of games I want...

so I think its time for me

  • this looks real good. whens it out?

  • I want this! I really love the music. Like the original Rayman this game has some magic to it. I hope it's sold in stores because this will take up a lot of space if it's on wii ware

  • i wish the Blob had a smile on his face like he did in the old NES version..

  • kill the heartless!

  • A Boy and his Blob was definitely a genious of a game. This new game seems to have everything the old one did except it seems slower. Also the blob should be bigger ;) In the old game where the blob was as big as the boy, the blob seemed more of a pal than a slave pet.

  • he looks like a pal in this game to me......

  • Brings back a ton of memories........this along with another game that I just can't remember the name.....maybe "Mystery Mansion"....can't wait to see if it will still be fun at 35yo

  • I think you might be talking about Maniac Mansion, and yes its quite the classic!

  • Blob Is Cool

  • This reminds me of Totoro by Hayao Miyazaki.

  • They better fix that huge issue with the hole between 1:32 - 1:47 because the sprties just pass over instead of falling in it. But still this is becoming an absolutely beautiful job.

WayForward takes game development absolutely serious, is just too bad they don't have much time to work on their own franchises.

  • Looks like a cross between Braid & Maple Story.

    PASS!

  • I love the style of this. Reminds me A LOT of Braid.

  • so much remake for the wii

    boy and his blob

    resident evil umbrella chronicles

house of the dead 2 and 3 return

    deadrising

    and more...

  • Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles was a remake?

    Still it wasn't that good

  • where we're going we won't need eyes to see

  • The music reminds me of SMG. I love it...

  • whats SMG?

  • This game gets huge style points for being one of the most beautiful 2d games I've seen yet. It even looks better than most of the games I've seen coming this year (in overall graphics appeal).

  • did you know it's hand drawn?

  • This game looks greath

  • Looks a bit more like braid than the original a boy and his blob,

  • If it's released for WiiWare I will buy it.

    Otherwise not.

  • It's too big for WiiWare.

  • Thats nice, you're the reason 2D games, a fantastic artystic tool, are dying

    Congratulations, you should be proud

  • I don't believe I'm the reason 2D games are dying.

I'm just not buying a disc-based game that could have clearly fit on a floppy-disk.

Then they use the disc as an excuse to bump the price sky-high, when it's barely worth half as much to pay in gaming terms.

I will buy if it comes to WiiWare.

I bought World Of Goo(an original Wii/PC-exclusive title), and it's a brilliantly conceived and designed 2D game.

Would I pay 99.95 for World Of Goo as a disc-based game?

    No!

  • Floppy disc? Are you MAD? Those are high rez multi layered 2D raster images, just like pre-rendered backgrounds it takes considerable space. The soundtrack is also HQ and the animations, physics and game length are all things that demand ALOT of work to be made in 2D.

World of Goo is alot more simplistic, games like this and Muramasa are just as hard to make as your typical 3D game believe it or not.

  • mpmlynk you are like the lorax except instead of speaking for the trees you speak for the 2d games

  • im siding with MPMlynk, there is NO WAY that game could be done on wiiware. and i personally am tired of developers thinking every game has to be in 3d, my most anticipated game,on any console, this year is muramasa demon blade, and thats 2d side scrolling.

  • So you didn't get that I was joking about the floppy-disk...

I believe it could be done for WiiWare.

Is there a limit to how big WiiWare is allowed to be size-wise?

  • It could be done for WiiWare, but at the cost of length and gameplay. The graphics and animation might have to be toned down a little. And the music might not be orchestrated in order to save space.

    Yes, WiiWare has a limit.

  • Beautiful
