I wasn't really turned off of this game by the two castles. Then again, I'm normally a sucker for dual world gameplay, and this game didn't excite me in the way it usually does. Maybe my enchantment and disgust cancelled each other out and left me with apathy.

@Phlebiax Actually, the best ending is slightly altered if you collect all the furniture. At the end, Juste moves in a little closer to Lydie and she leans on him.
