Calorie intake is a lot more complicated than that. Need to find your basal metabolic rate, exercise factors, plus a couple of other body regulation factors like calories burned to regulate body temperature, etc. 1200 calories is probably less than the amount you'd consume to maintain your weight, considering the average is closer to the 2000 calorie area.
How many calories do you eat in a day? Maintain weight calories or weight loss calories?
Because I lost about 40 pounds by counting calories (staying at around 1200 calories a day) and exercising regularly but I feel like if I suddenly start eating 2000 calories, I will gain weight =/
What'd you do after you lost weight? Increase calories or keep them as they are?
@jojomcrrox i try to eat around 1200 calories in a day as well. I think in order to maintain the weight you are now, you just gotta keep doing what you've been doing. Going back to your old eating habits will just make you gain weight. And I've heard that you multiply your weight by 13 in order to see how many calories you should intake in order to remain the same weight. but for me, ive just been sticking to 1200 calories a day.
And i actually HATE counting my calories. It makes me feel so tied down by food! I dont know if you feel that way as well but I wish there was just a permanent fix for weightloss =(
@bunmps I hate calorie counting too! =( Even though I eat delicious foods just within my calorie restraints, I always feel deprived of good food. But i'd rather feel deprived and stay the size I am, then let myself go and gain all the weight back! I did that multiplication thing and it says 1650 calories. But lol, I think I'm too intense in my regimented calorie intake to increase it by that much...so I guess i'll just stick to my 1200.
once i get to the gym, i don't mind working out...it's just actually getting dressed, getting into my car, and driving there!! lol...usually im just soo lazy :( but ur right, once you start, u feel really good. at first u may feel outta breath, but eventually u get used to it. thanks for the vid! p.s. love the liquor at the top of the fridge...haha
