wow that's really artistic adapting a piano song for guitar. haha i looked over that sentence and it looks sarcastic, but i mean it sincerely :) you're pretty good
Thank you for paying tribute to one of the finest, most beautiful songs ever written. I have loved this song for 30 years, and only a handful of people ever seem to know it.
wow. This is inspiring. Nice guitar arrangement. Great writeup. can't agree more. I have vivid memories of PG doing this song, solo, just him, piano, and a spotlight. Thanks for sharing!
Isodig you're always surprising me! This song is one of my faves from Fripp's Exposure album, along with the inimitable John Hall doing North Star. It's a GREAT song and a damn good rendition! We seem to have the same influences. Peace and music!
Very moving cover, your voice sounds raspy and smooth at the same time, it gets along so well with the sound of acoustic guitar. Your arrangement is really good, I know how hard it can be to find the right chords or to write a full tab. Well, let's sum up : subscribed ;)
One of my favorites from a true genius. Don't put your vox down; you sound great! Thank you for chosing such a different song to cover. All around wonderful. Favorited, 5 stars and a sub! Jon
Hey Jon - thanks for all the nice words and sentiments.. I appreciate it.. Vocals are a challenge for me, I just haven't really been trying to sing for long..
I'd be glad to.. Message me and let me know how detailed you need.. I should do something detailed anyway before I forget, lol (and that won't be long, trust me..) Anyway, back to the main point... What was I talking about? Thanks.
I usually think of Peter Gabriel in terms of Tony Levin's phenomenal bass and PG's keyboards, but you have opened up a new and exciting possibility doing PG's music on acoustic. I really like it! That inspires me to explore some possibilities like this. Five big fat juicy stars from Stratman.
Oh man, thanks! That's the kind of thing I like to hear from other musicians and really it's the reason I post stuff up here in the first place. Rock on man.
I already commented earlier, but just had to say again, I really love your version of this! I've come back to it a number of times; there hasn't been another song on here that I enjoy listening to near as much. ;)
Thanks M :-) (The smile is for the M) (and the thanks too) That's a shocking compliment. I warned you about my head and doorways before. Some rooms in my house aren't big enough to get the running distance for proper velocity to force my head through.
I agree with the 'hits', some of his best music came with Genesis and this is absolutely one of my favorite songs. Thanks for giving it some justice, even if it's not the same.
Wow. I'm in COMPLETE AWE, really. This is really, really, really, So...GREAT. REALLY!! I think it's my favorite one, actually. I love how you just throw yourself into the song you're singing! I think it's really cool! *****

Wow back at you Molly... It really SHOCKS me when I get a comment like this from someone that I dig so much and who impresses me so greatly. Thanks :-) Now my head is gonna be so big I am gonna have to get a running start to squeeze it through doorways.
Good points. I don't know how I could have done some of those chords with out a capo though. I think what you are hearing is more that I am pounding the guitar so there is little sustain, and that I could correct but I have a tough time singing hard and playing soft (or at all, lol).. Thanks!
In addition to loving Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel is also a huge personal favourite. Superb cover of this song. Since you like The Final Cut, checkout Silverfish's version of The Gunner's Dream.
Hiya Bloggermouth.. Thanks! Yeah that version of The Gunner's Dream has been a well visited favorite of mine - it's the best cover of that I have ever heard, even without a sax.
Awesome! I guess tying your shoelaces with your toes isn't so hard after all!! (I love Peter Gabriel and everything he's ever done - but this is really outstanding.) Keep the videos coming.
It's still very hard for me, lol. Thanks for the nice comment man. I recently changed the battery in my Tak 12 and I was thinking of you since you amp yours and wondering if you had as much trouble.. :-)
Yeah, that's what P.G. says he was thinking about, some sort of telepathic ability, but some artists thoughts are better left out of the art. I kind of like a "cost of our progress" meaning. Anyway, I had a tape in the 80's called Exposure by Robert Fripp (from King Crimson) release of songs with people (like Daryl Hall and Brian Eno). Strange but cool.
Heya nascream :-) Thanks a bunch, what a killer comment. I dig those stars, I have only seen them from you, and I am thinking you are more clever than you are letting on... (Five star clever: ☆☆☆☆☆ :-)
Hey Doc, thank you sir, I am always honored by your comments. I don't know why I pick songs that are way beyond me lol. I like them before I think about how hard they are. I imagine you are working on Penny Lane.. Looking forward to it!
GREAT version of this song man... P.G's a big fav' of mine and this guitar arrangment works VERY well!! I-so-dig what you've done with it.... BIG 5!! =o]
Thanks Annie, 'most incredible voice' kind of blows my mind coming from you given that I think you are one of the best singers on YT... and songwriters too, and one of the coolest people, all those thing people know if they pay attention. I do dig the compliment. :-)
Beautiful Isodig! Truely! Your voice is always better and betetr and I couldn't hear what you were saying: hard to play and sing at the same time.(even though, I believe it was, but i couldn't hear it)

Thanks Joy, very nice comment. To be honest I am surprised people like my voice - it doesn't sound good to my ears (unlike PG), I just try real hard to hit the right notes and be expressive about what I think the song is about. And oooohh yeah, Jerry's new song is awesome - it was added to my favorites fast and I can't stop listening to it. :-)
you know what Isodig man...you do really cool, different kinda tunes....i am a huge Gabriel fan (especially Securtiy...love to hear this cover great job!....i have thought about doing San Jacinto but can't figure out the sample how to play on guitar.....cheers!
Hey Brent, good to see you man. I do usually try to do stuff that hasn't been covered a million times already. San Jacinto would be an awesome cover for you to do, at least I would totally dig it - it's a floydish feeling song. I know what you mean about putting that to guitar, it's what I like most and least about playing the guitar. I would probably punt on the top side Fripp'ish stuff and build something back up off the bass lines..
Thanks Jerry, that's definitely cool. And I just kinda said the same thing on Eddie's new song, but.. it's the peeps that I respect who are digging it that is the big honor.
I get it. Great work man.
