The reason LEGO is more popular than other brands is that pople like it more. The reason people like it more is that most people think it is better. I can say this as a fact, Lego bricks are higher quality toys because they are made of better grade materials. They also are better for animation because their joints are smooth. I've tried to animate with Mega Bloks but their joints are jerky.

And yes, that figure is a mega blok, it was a knights line of mega bloks. Mega bloks has had many different lines over the years. Some mega bloks can turn their wrists, others cannot.
