@ekkonak I read this somewhere. Apparently Jiriaya, Tsunade and Orochimaru were original characters from edo-era plays and stories. So in other words these guys are LOOSELY based of someone else's ideas. Goes to show you, not every guy in anime or mangas are completely original.

@Karralmer alot of naruto is based of japanese mytholigy the uchiha sharingan is based alot of the story of Izanagi-no-Mikoto who's left eye gave birth to Amaterasu and right eye gave birth to Tsukuyomi and Susanoo was created by izanagi's nose and susanoo killed the eight tailed snake yamata-no-orochi and the grass cutter sword that sasuke uses was in legend found in one of yamata-no-orochi tails after its death

Hinata would understand and appreciate Naruto, because she knows what it's like to be mistreated, Hinata as 'the Hyuuga heir' and Naruto as 'the fox vessel'. It's not the same as the other, but they understand each other in ways no one else-least of all Sakura-could. As for Sasuke, that's a possibility as well. He and Naruto also understand each other but on a different level and they are like polar opposites.

Jiraiya is the best character of all time, Itachi stated that him and kisame combined wouldn't be able to defeat Him. Pain also stated that if Jiraiya knew about his secret he would've beaten him. I think that Jiraiya was above minato AND naruto. Let's not forget he was on par with Orochimaru while only having 30 percent of his chakra. (kabuto was helping orochimaru with jutsu spells) Also in the manga minato stated that Jiraiya was indeed stronger (and it is also a FACT in the narutopedia)

On par with Orochimaru? I think you mean they were both impaired and afterwards Jiraiya told Naruto everything fought with everything he had to stop Orochimaru.
