They may have been as bad as people said in the past, but I was arm's reach from the stage in the pit at this show. They blew my expectations out of the water since I, like you, had begun to believe everyone else. It was so epic.

I've seen DragonForce and their shows are a lot calmer than they would be if you went and saw someone like Children of Bodom. Just stay out of the mosh pit and you'll be absolutely fine. Hell, I was even at the front against the barricade and never even once did I come close to even falling down.

I was within arms reach from the center of the stage at this show in Mansfield. There was no mosh pit whatsoever. Then my friends and I tried to make a happier, ska-ish mosh and a huge idiot waiting for Slipknot came over and busted people's faces. So anyways, I wouldn't worry about moshes. Most people are in awe of the epicness of them performing they dont want to miss it via moshing.
