  • @stanrosekrans I'm with u mine is the same 45 psi all day only probs I got is with intercooler boots been that way for 3 years

  • be glad you don't live in california with your truck like that they would make you send it to the junk yard

  • where u drunk the night you did it and ended up putting beer in it too i think it just woke up with a bad hangover haha jk

  • dumb ass's..... obviously your doing something wrong to the truck if you go through 4 turbos! mines got 230k and whistles like a choir! Cold Air, Bully Dog Torque Dog, and 50hp Injectors through its whole life. Shit even the trans is original and works AMAZING for a nebraska farm truck...

  • Talk about a car thats good on the Environment..

  • @JoeConEd Obviously you don't know anything about motors.Diesel motors is 10 x x cleaner than a gasoline motor.

  • Way to screw up an awesome engine... -.-

  • awsome

  • how does it just smoke like that... i mean while its just sittin there... aint something wrong with that???

  • nice job idout way to save the inverment

  • @MrKkyl learn how to spell before you criticise someone else

  • @MrKkyl learn to spell, and diesels are 10x cleaner than any gasser.

  • @MrKkyl your the "idout" lol! Diesel motors are cleaner than Gasoline motors "idout" lol!

  • йоптваю....

  • i hate when people think they know everything on youtube

  • thats why the ozone's so f*cked up -__-

  • @MrBeastModeON diesel burns alot cleaner then gas... one person making a little smoke aint killing the ozone all the compressed air in hair spray and shit is ten times worse.. quit your belly achin its years and years of abuse

  • @rockinbass01 lol i was just kidding >.<

  • @rockinbass01 a STOCK DIESEL does burn cleaner than a STOCK GAS burner,,once you work on it and see black smoke your (carbon footprint) gets many timer worse than a gas burner. i realy do know im a diesel mechanic.

  • @MrBeastModeON i laugh at people like you that dont know what your talking about diesels. Black smoke is soot which is heavier than oxygen and it just falls to the ground. It is also carbon dioxide which is what plants need, along with sunlight and water, to grow. People who drives diesels actually help the planet, not hurt it. Now the next time you go to replace the 6 batteries in your prius, think about who is helping the environment and whos not.

  • @skeeter1012 i was just kidding GOSH :p

  • @skeeter1012 Fucking A man thats what i tell them Prius fuckers out there

  • Fucking great for the motor u ass clown

  • you stillhave the dodge you want to sell it

  • Nice stacks man

  • You've got bigger problems than a bad turbo.

  • haha somehow i think thats your trucks way of getting back at you for raping the starter in the other vid. sweet truck

  • your an idiot for trying more then 30 out of the stock turbo, and now your eating up the motor running with out it...awesome

  • @DieselJ13 im so with you...

  • @DieselJ13 Not quite. On my 07 24V i was putting out 32psi with just a cold air intake and straight piped exhaust. Now ive got a Smarty on it aswell and ive been putting out 38-40psi for almost a year now and havent had any problems with my turbo.

  • @skeeter1012 your pushing your luck with that then. the stock compressor is not built to handle that. wouldnt be supprised if you start getting turbo bark soon. the bearings in the stock turbo also arnt designed to spin at the speed to build that boost (60,000 rpm's or more). just know your pushing your luck on it. egts are probably going up too even with free flowing exhaust. btw talking to a college student in diesel mechanics, and diesel performance. so i do know a thing or two

  • @DieselJ13 it doesnt get 38-40psi unless i want it to. Im smart and dont dog my truck, i rarely see my boost over 20psi. But i have ran some 0-60 times and with my smarty on sw3 i ran 0-60 @ 6.02 seconds. At the moment im on sw6 but i havent ran a 0-60 time but im guess high 5's. And ive never seen my EGT over 600. Normally its around 450-550 while driving around town.

  • @skeeter1012 then your a smart driver lol, this dude in the vid probably hot rodded and hit boost during every acceleration he could, thus pushing his stock turbo too hard with the boost he demanded from it.

  • im pushing 45 out of my stock turbo drive it 7 days a week never have a problem

  • if your trucks timing is 30 degrees out maybe start with getting it timed

  • it's because the straight pipe ruined it

  • what size stacks are those

  • itsa dodge

  • Nice stacks!

  • Ill bet the EPA loves your truck

  • @breakemamos...black smoke is unburnt fuel the white smoke is like what someone else here said either water or coolant and the blue smoke is oil burning...they also smoke grey or white when they are out of time or cold

  • really grey or white is unburnt fuel i pulled the fuel plate oout of my 97 and it did the same as this because it threw the timing off. i thought it was my turbo, but talked to jeff garmon and was told just to advance the timing and it would be alright and it runs fine now

  • You need to get the turbo off an 8 liter Cummins. My dad has 100 horse injectors, a programmer, and the 8 liter turbo and it fuckin runs strong. I bet it would be a lot cheaper than an aftermarket turbo and it does 38 pounds of boost no problem

  • As I said I work offshore and see this a lot. Blackstacking is when the engine is overloaded and is getting way too much fuel for it to burn. If your truck is blackstacking as it looks like in the video then you ahve INJECTOR problems. White smoke is an oil problem that requires a complete overhul; of the engine. 22 years working on boats with cummings, detroit deisel, and caterpilar engines I know what I am talking about. The only engine that is known to blackstack regularly is the Caterpilar

  • @MegaMouseSEC

If you work on "Cummins" correctly. Freakin hate when people incorrectly put the "g" on the end.

  • @BigBossMan4569 you gots a cummings right der. lol fuckin idiots. cummings just sounds and looks stupid, so its obviously wrong. the world of stupid people

  • @MegaMouseSEC Blue smoke would be the burning of oil pass your rings or valve seals ..white smoke isnt an oil problem ( condensation or in this case of a failure would be coolant) black can be caused by no enough air like in this case. if you arent building any boost your not going to burn all that extra fuel ( if its modded) let alone burn the normal amount that your pump would be putting out. or it can be caused by over fueling.. I would want yoiu working on my engines

  • @kylefootball13 I have worked on the mississippi river for over 20 years now I know what to look for and apparently you have no idea. Stop talking out your backend and do some research fool.

  • @MegaMouseSEC Tell all of us how white smoke is and "oil" problem. The fact you have been working on marine diesels for 20 years and make a comment like that shows your ill understanding of diesels

  • @MegaMouseSEC uhm... burning oil is blue... im 17 and i know this. white is either water or coolant

  • @skangster12 white can also be raw fuel (wholly unburnt, what happens when you get an injector that sticks open). Black is incompletely burnt fuel. but yes, blue is oil and white can sometimes be water/coolant

  • I dont think this truck would pass any emission testing, lmfao

  • kinda reminds me of a train LOL

  • what make of stacks are those???????????

  • was that the i6 engine?

  • Comment removed

  • @oakleycellphone no its a v12..

  • Ok I work on a boat and that much smoke usually means bad injectors, not a bad turbo. The white smoke is caused by too much feul beign dumped into teh cylinders. Blackstacking (a term we use on the waterways0 has several causes. If you get it fixed you should ahve a killer ride. But you do need to take it to a mechanic that knows what he is doing or it will be wasted money.Good luck if you decide to get it fixed.

  • @MegaMouseSEC Dude are you retarded? If it has bad injectors its going to be white smoke, Blackstacking as you call it is just alot of fuel, in his case with no boost to burn it all

  • what turbo a stock? cuz i have never heard of a even a stock 351 putting out that much

  • that can not be good on the motor.

    haha

  • must be the lack of air casues an overdose of fuel.

  • whats the best turbo to get for a 01 cummins with a few mods like intake chip and fuel system?

  • Where did you order you Aussie's from man?

  • HX40's are junk. They use the same shaft as the stock HX35 and a bigger compressor wheel. so when you build boost that fat ass wheel bends the shaft and tears the shit out of everything in your turbo.

  • your truck seems to break down quite often. First you ran it out of fuel, then this? lol

  • on the plus side they looked bad ass :P

  • dude u prob fucked up the terbo with them stupid ass stakes. they serve no perpose 'cept lookin good and it messes up ur backpressur and in return messes up everything else

  • @MrCollinsliam a straight through exhaust wont hurt the turbo at all. it actually helps it out.

  • @grimreaper4227 idk 'bout that. maby ur right and in that case i pardon myslef.

  • @MrCollinsliam you idiot diesels don't require back pressure stacks or just dumping the exhaust will help night and day they dont like restricted ehaust!

  • @62BOWTIE you idiot? what are u, five? k'so i googled it and some say you need some and sertine stacks might offect it and some say the terbo makes the backpressure and its fine. s0 i opoligize k?

dont need to b so uptight the ass/.

  • @MrCollinsliam ur a fucking idiot u cant even spell turbo right u dumbass

  • all thats unburnt fuel

  • @billium2014

    thank you captain obvious

  • @Phill0046 blow my sack

  • my turbo went in my dodge on the high way back from work and it was a black out like that

  • Can't you end up having a run-away diesel running it with a bad turbo?

  • @stcbenz83 definitely, seen it happen...

  • @stcbenz83 You bout dumb or what? A runaway diesel is on a 1st gen when your messin with the rotary pump if you over fuel it will runaway.

  • man your havin all kind of bad luck you run the truck out of fuel then blow a turbo

  • pllushen in the air.......pllushen in the air.......pllushen in the air

  • @firmclock Running a honda civic to work prolly pollutes more than this truck did in the whole video. Diesels run very clean and efficiantly.

  • @WetDirtProductions well i sed that because all the smoke

  • Comment removed

  • YEAH! take that carb!! and epa!!

  • dude just order a high performance turbo from jegs.com theyre the best there is

  • @chaimdavid1 over priced JEGS sells everything for way too much.

  • sorry but this is totally bitchen :) Would love to crank and rev it every day and pump the smoke out...

  • is the vannest sticker on your window from the ravenswood/ripley west virginia vannest?

  • the truck is high

  • dont tell al gore

  • HAHAHA IT'S SMOKING LIKE A LOCOMOTIVE OR SOMETHING!!!

  • Damn rednecks

  • @jablackburn fuck you atleast we dont drive pussy ass volvos that scream "iiiiiiiim gaaaaaaay" when you drive by. damn queers

  • @Txpsd9673 LMAO im pretty sure it actually screams 'youuuuuuuuuuureeeeeeee faggggggggsssssssssssss' as i pass you in your gay trucks and you get pissed off and ride my ass. Who's gay? Yeaaahhhh, that's what I thought.

  • @jablackburn what a lame comment BAHAHAHAHAA one of the worst comebacks ive ever heard! might wanna think of something more clever... and a 90s VOLVO SEDAN SCREAMS.... you just made my day ahahaha i wanna see you run my 13 sec truck buddy so i can clown your ass. and lastly lets go to the beach and see how many woman i pull in my 4x4 and how many hop in your grandma's car BAHAHAHAHAAHA

  • @jablackburn man you really are gay! just listen to the music in the vid on your channel ahahahahaa!!!!! this just keeps gettin better!

  • @Txpsd9673 Congrats genius, you discovered the radio. I'm sorry you have a small penis.

  • @jablackburn no i discovered the gay shit you listen too ahahaha!!! Pretty sure i can get the job done with what i got and why are you thinking about my penis anyway? woah... just stop while your ahead...

  • @jablackburn tree hugger

  • Hey man my dads truck has that same sticker on his ext cab window, where you live at? Nice truck by the way, except for da bad turbo, lol!

  • Great way to get a runaway diesel...

  • FUckin stupid

  • shes pumpin straight oil out those pipes man, hope shes fixed now

  • where did u get them stacks

  • Your an idiot... Go get a chevy and destroy it if your gona be a dumb ass with your trucks.

  • Sell me your stacks

Also, 95% of big rigs pulling a load have stacks... Asking what the point of stacks is if one intends to haul a soot-free load is a retarded question.

  • thats a shit load of wasted fuel.

  • whats the point in stacks if you going to haul something your going to get soot all over it

  • thts not 4 lane road only 2 land

  • wow man, ive seen two of your vids now.... go get a toyota. cummins don't run very long wide open do they? .!..

i got a 98.5 cummins, when you dump the fuel filter it won't start, take the inside plug off the top of the fuel filter an prime it, dont miss once when you go to fire it.

As for the turbo, go performance then let off a little. oh an cool your truck off before ya kill it.

  • @dewjoh fuck toyota...

  • whats the mpg on it before and after the stacks im thinking on puttin stacks on my 01

  • @JPooh45 i do not think stack effect the mpg?

  • @Dodge4x4ss stacks are is exhaust if u get a aftermarket exhaust depending on if u run straights or whatever effects mpg

  • Stacks will improve thempg by roughly 3. They add alot more hp about 30. The truck will also tend to have a bit less smoke, that is, if it's a 5in stack ;-)

  • you should drive by one of thoes tree huger conventions lol.

  • did u say u got bad turbo, was that stock? and u bought x40 turbo, was it good? cuz i blew mine 7 hours ago.. becuz i think my 150hp injectors torn the stock turbo nasty!.lol so will that x40 turbo hold better?

  • the HX40 lasted about 500 miles.. The trucks been sitting since June of 09.

  • @BlackSmokinDodge

500 miles on a turbo? Was it made of plastic?! Haha, sorry about your luck fella. Nice truck otherwise!

  • @BlackSmokinDodge maybe its time to go up to an hx60...

  • @BlackSmokinDodge U still have the truck? I want a 4x4 cummins.

  • @BlackSmokinDodge sell it?

  • @BlackSmokinDodge dide you ever get her going

  • @BlackSmokinDodge so ur truck does not run?

  • @bighooksdaddy85 i have a ticking time bomb under my hood running 100hp injectors on a stock hx35 pushing 45-47psi. your in the same boat as me and hx40s are pretty much worthless slow to spool and they still dont move enough air even for 100s much less for 150s. your best bet is to run like a 62/68/14 or something along those lines a 62mm compressor side is about perfect but for 200s id go to a 64mm just my .02

  • and you dont think those pipes had ANYTHING to do with it huh?

  • yea iv heard that if u put a 5in turbo back with a stock exhaust, it can mess it up

  • it will not mess it up in any shape or form on a diesel the bigger the I.D. of the exhaust the less back pressure which equals more power and cooler EGT's

  • the stacks will not affect the turbo. the turbo creates all the back pressure that the engine needs. what caused this was running way too much boost on a turbo that was designed for half of the boost this guy if running.

  • Nope. The pipes dont affect the turbos output on a diesel. He just blew his compressor and since the motor was designed to run under pressure it has alot of unburned fuel.

  • I'm no expert, but it looks perfectly fine to me. If you don't like smoke, buy a Prius. jk of course.

  • wow u fucker it looks fine?!?!?!?! yea say that wen the rods break and tell him to take his happy ass on his merry way dumbass

  • Comment removed

  • dude get a leaf blower and pipe it in to the intake see what happens lol

  • that's not the reason.. sorry to be "that guy"... post turbo back-pressure has almost nothing to do with diesels.. agree with snowboardbike...

I have a 4.5" downpipe to 5" completely gutted exhaust and my turbo has ~80,015 miles on it and it still builds plenty of boost plenty fast enough.. Never smokes on start up (unless it's cold, like in my vid)

  • man that turbo is fucked lol

at least you got her workin now

  • @imgoinhuntin123

by "back pressure" are you talking pre or post turbo on the exhaust. I do not believe you want back pressure at all after the turbos, but you are correct in the sense that you cannot run a huge exhaust before the turbo because it will never build boost.

  • hell ya

  • aint nothin wrong with a lotta smoke :)

  • Hey, I'd shut your fuckin pie hole, my whole family are truck drivers. just to tell you that shirt you're wearing right now was delivered by a truck driver. Everything is delivered by a trucker. Just think if the world didn't have truckers then how would we get things delivered properly. Have you ever thought of that dumbass. So if I were you right now, I'd shut the fuck up about truck drivers right now and show them a little respect and try to imagine a world without truck drivers.

  • hey you stupid fucking crome monkey you stupid fucking job, truck , and crome aint cool i should know i work at a peterbilt dealership and you truckers are all alike just stupid ignorant fucks

  • @bgmp16. Lumping all truck drivers together is what I would call ignorant. Sure, there are some out there that are pretty dumb, but that's the same with any job. The vast majority of truck drivers are actually very intelligent, enjoy driving trucks and make an honest living. But I suppose doing something they love doing makes them a "stupid ignorant fuck." Maybe your jealous you work at a Pete dealer, but can't drive a rig?

  • Amen peobryant

  • @peobryant agreed man. we have 5 petes and 1 freightliner. we haul grain and plastic pipe.

  • what about a world without trucks, holy smoke we would all be naked. Really man, you only deliver shit because you are the cheapest, nobody said you were the best.

  • HELL YEAH!!!! this country would stop without trucks and there drivers!! god bless truck drivers!!!!!!

  • hahahahahahahaha thats awesome

  • Where did you get your stacks from?? I'm tryin to buy some for my 89 dodge Ram Dually with 12valve cummins..

  • dude you wont be laughin when that beautiful truck is in the shop thanks to that stupidity. treat it better

  • You have brian work on your truck too. He is prob the best diesel mechanic in the east

  • Hx 40s fuckin suck! shafts are too small!!

  • dude you have no idea wat you are doing with trucks! your abusing that real man truck! get a car!

  • how is the turbo bad already.. looked like a newer truck

  • it says its a 95 in his vids

  • Because the dumbass way overboosted it and abuses this truck in a way no truck should be treated. Ignorant jackass doesn't deserve this truck.

  • why would you keep doing the same thing you know breaks the turbo?! that just sounds like hes got wayyy much money to blow 2000 on new turbo's every time he fucks it up?

  • AWESOME! SO MUCH SMOKE lol...bad for the truck...good for the goosebumps!

  • Even though the turbo is broken, and all that grey smoke isn't good. It looks pretty cool.

  • Great truck. That is alot of smoke! Burn out lol

  • COOL VEHICLE 5/5.
