My son & I love watching wild birds in our garden. Sadly we never get anything as exotic as Hummingbirds, not in Britain's climate! Thank you for that lovely footage! Seems those little babies have to get the hang of sword-swallowing pretty early!

And I thought Yellow-bellied Sunbirds here in Australia built their nests in precarious areas. I wish we had hummingbirds in Oz. Very good video. I have been sitting here for hours watching h'bird videos. So far, the mothers always feed one, then the other. I have not yet seen a baby get feed twice before the other one feeds! Great video!

The flowers you saw are Bouginvillia. I'm not sure if I can narrow it down to the exact species. There are many varieties, but this one looks like a traditional species. There are some newer bouginvillia vines with varigated colors on the leaves and have names like "Raspberry Ice".

I find it interesting how hummingbirds like to build their nests on top of windchimes. Last week, a friend of mine told me that she and her husband have a hummingbird nest on top of their windchimes right now. It makes me wonder how the mother and the babies can be comfortable with the support wire/string in the center.

Fantastic video! I have a hummingbird nest with mother and 1 egg that I'm watching on our front porch. The mother built the nest on the hook that holds one of our windchimes. I hope to see some baby hummmers, too. Thanks again for sharing.

That is come incredible footage! WOW -- just started with a feeder March 21st 2006. Only seen a few feeding ..a nd frollicking in the tree by our balcony. WOULD LOVE to see a nest and watch them over the course of their development. Awesome capture!
