just a typical new dishwasher, sure they are nice, but thery are flat out pieces of shit as they are made in china, when i get my own house, i'm going to get all vintage 1980's appliances, those were american made
I now put cutlery in "upside down", they clean just as well and you get them out with the handles rather than the bits you put in your mouth. More hygenic and safe, especially with sharp knives.
@DeanJB74 The front of the basket opens up for removal and the whole basket lifts out. The reason I load handles down is in the restaurant the health department requires it be done this way. This is to allow more of the dishmachine spray to hit the soiled end. So I do it this way at home as well.
@DeanJB74 I didn't think you made a tilt at me personally. another reason for doing this in a commercial setting is that the machine has only 54 seconds to wash rinse and sanitize the load. The ware being washed has to be well exposed to be cleaned rinsed and heated to 180F (82C) in the required time.

@dualactionsurgilator
Thanks, I wondered if it lifted out.
LOL @ health dept. I'd love to see their bacteria count studies if, in fact there are any for this type of test. :)
I wasn't getting at you personally :)
