@boffinboy100 Yes. It's called Arlington. The US lost 400,000 soldiers in WWII. The Soviets lost 7,000,000, plus 20,000,000 civilians. Hitler didn't give a crap about the US or the UK, but he was going to annihilate all Slavs if he managed to conquer the Soviet Union. Somehow the country (not just the soldiers, the COUNTRY) managed to pull together and defeat him almost singlehandedly. Still wondering what the parade's about? >.<

I'm saying that even on the 11/11 remembrance day in the UK there was no memorial event such as this. To my knowledge the US hasn't got an event to equal this. Russians are proud people, who respect & look after their veterans better than us in the UK. if a veteran now lives in another country (due to the break up of the USSR), the Russian govt. still pays them their comparitively good pension.
