What you said is so much in line with my views, it's uncanny. People always give the independent candidate crap just because they consider their vote wasted on that politician. Just because it is not precedented already doesn't mean that it cannot happen. If people would only put aside things like charisma for one second and realize what a politician actually stands for, then we'd be more likely to elect a president only for what he is, and rightly so.

Ron Paul is the most competent politician I have ever heard. I have never heard a politician speak for the people with such fluent knowledge. His reasoning is rock solid. He doesn't dodge questions and try to hide ignorance like most politicians. He knows his history, foreign policy, monetary policy, and the Constitution. He is America's chance to have another great and noble president like George Washington, but sadly only presidents who are bought and paid for win elections.
