The commercial takes us to a Triple A game between the Tacoma Rainiers and Fresno Grizzlies (televised because ... well ... Fresno). In the action, the Tacoma batter yanks a hanging curveball deep down the left field line. The ball curls foul into the corner and the Fresno leftfielder doesn't even make a move on it. But then appears the ball girl, who climbs up the wall in two bounds -- Jet Li-style -- and spins for a leaping catch.....Element 79's Swan Song for Gatorade Is Pure Gold
i am a batboy for the tacoma rainiers they said the people in the commercial were each paid about 3 grand to use real game footage and they used bret johnsons double down the line to make this commercial.................FAKE! i also saw fsn and the girl used a ropeattached to her waist to get the ball they just edited it out... also minor leagues dont use ballgirls
They had this on ESPN a few days ago, this is a fake, this clip was an unused Gatorade commercial and the girl is actually a stunt double and the team doesn't really even have "ball girls or guys" she was lifted with wires and ropes and had a boost from someone behind the wall. The Fresno asst manager was interviewed on ESPN about it and insisted it was not real.
Element 79 are the same guys who did that incredible commercial montage of Montana/Clark "The Catch" where the ball just missed his fingers, Jordan over Ehlo for the game winner - that clanged off the rim, etc ... they re-shot famous sports moments, just changed the endings. Amazing, amazing commercials. This is more nice work.
Wait, did I misunderstand or are you saying that Clark didn't make the catch but Element79 made it look like he did? I was at that game and saw hime do it. I'm not say that this catch was real but I know Clark's was.
Clark really did make the catch in real life (and I'm jealous of you for being there), just like Jordan really sank the basket over Ehlo. But Element79 did an absolutely brilliant spot where they recreated those moments but changed the endings (to have Clark miss, Jordan miss, etc). The commercial's called, "Winning Formula," and it's on youtube but misspelled with "gatoraid." Should be easy enough to find online. One of the best spots I've ever seen.
It is actually a viral video for Gatorade titled "Ball Girl" that was created by Chicago's Element 79 Partners.
As for how the ball girl (played by stuntwoman Phoenix Brown) made the spectacular catch that is the highlight of the video, she got a little help from rigs.
The crew shot the big catch right after the game they were shooting concluded, attaching the ball girl to wires and having two stunt men off to the side literally yanking her up the wall.
wut heck no

The ball girl is a stuntwoman named Phoenix Brown, they were filming a Gatorade commercial. The catch was set up, it's not real.

Yep, totally fake. Girl is running with her back to the ball. No way it could ever be real.
Catchers glove switched, fake hit sound added in, ball added in. Not real.
Girl's can't catch like that in real life.
FAKE as Pamela's 4th boob job.
