If you are a foreigner and you have to drive in Romania, avoid driving at nights. It is too dangerous. Bad roads and big amount of slow moving horse-towed cars without lights are very dangerous. Drive at day light and drive without exceeding limits.

I had to drive through Romania twice in 2008.

Yes, it is humorous, but it shows an attitude of doing what you can with what you have. I don't think you will find this as often in other countries.

Incep prin a zice ca eu imi iubesc tara. Consider Romania una dintre cele mai miraculoase state si regiuni din istorie, si nu numai eu: Maria Gimbutas(porf. din Lituania- Univ, din California, A.D.Fored - Univ Oxford).

Insa, cea ce m-a facut sa plec din Romania a fost probabil populatia. Ex: manelari, "smecheri" din astia. Sunt pesimist in privinta lor, fiindca se raspandesc peste tot: in parlament, in justitie.

Si ajungi sa te intrebi daca merita efortul.

In legatura cu educatia nu prea ai dreptate. Romania e una din putinele tari in care se face scoala calumea (ex: ce se invata in romania la liceu, in afara se invata la facultate). In romania majoritatea celor ce termina liceul merg la o facultate.

Desigur cealalta parte din populatie ne face tara de ras...ceea ce e foarte trist...

Cu scoala nu prea ai nimerito...invatamantul de acum in Romania...e in ultimul hal...comparativ cu ce a fost inainte de 1989...sunt absolventi de facultati private la nivelul unui scolar de clasa 6-a...sc.gen...bacul si admiterea la facultatea privata sunt simple formalitati...
