Agree, Criss Cornell great voice, great talent, always seems to improve as he moves forward in his music!! Another all time favorite voice was Michael Hutchence, sadly gone. To me my they are some of my favorite so called "Alt Music" voices. A gift to enjoy.
Man... I remember hearing this song on the radio while playing Aladdin on the SNES set up in a store at the mall when I was like 10 and knowing how much ass it kicked even then.
@11joshman kiss my ass eddie vedder is better. that's just your damn opinion. chris makes eddie sound so mono toned.. soundgarden is totally untamed and sometimes experimental as to where pearl jam sounds really generic and boring. no offense =D.

@dicktron08 Defenitivly not just you.. but I guess you got that figured one out right , I always though he was one of the best vocalists of all times !! :)
@dicktron08 I will be amazed if another voice like this comes along in my lifetime. I've seen Robert Plant bring a crowd to a whisper just so they could hear every note that came out of his mouth. Chris Cornell is that good if not better.
i will just remind you folks of the genesis of the 90's was both Metallica and her predosseosrs, and alll fun benine..music is and shall alwasy be a wonderful headache
No moron. The grunge/alternative scene spawned in Washington was a completely seperate music movement. Metallica owns dude. But they aren't the parents of all rock. It's only a headache to douchebags.
hehehe when I was younger and was learning this song from a guitar world magazine I had a duh moment... when read the lyrics and noticed that it said "take if you want a slice"...up until that point I thought he sang Cake if you want a slice....ahhh the good ol days of being a retarded little kid...but I did learn the tune note for note pretty much and we jammed it in our cover band...and I ask my friend who was the singer to belt out Cake instead of Take..and he did everytime we played it
I have a dilemma...
See, i'm trying to pick my favorite soundgarden song, its either this one, My Wave, 4th of July, Black Rain or Slaves and Bulldozers.

@radiomike151 We don't get waves big enough to surf here in Seattle... OH!...was this a metaphor? I'm so thick..

@youztuber5000 As a former Green Laker I'd have to say I was trying for a little irony, but ultimately just humor.
radiomike151 4 months ago
@radiomike151 That's why Chris shows no sympathy for Kurt, and he doesn't show that extra respect most musicians do, which is perfectly fine.
