    the very last scene when Mary, Michael Corleone's daughter, is shot by the assassin whose bullet is meant for Michael.

    The Intermezzo had such an affect upon many people who watched the movie and who, up to that point, did not care for it.

    It plays for only about 3 minutes--but a review of Michael's past is displayed on the screen--his vision of all that is past..then, he dies alone in a courtyard in Sicily--truly a great accompaniment. You should see it--avaialble YOU TUBE.
