Actually that is not true. At this moment I am reading a book called: Until We Meet Again by Michael Korenblit and Kathleen Janger. Mayorek Korenblit, pronounced in America Meyer Korenblit was Jewish. Over the course of the book he was deported to many concentration camps and one of those was Dachau. I was stationed in Augsburg for 2 years. Visiting Dachau, we agreed it looked far too "sanitized." We were there in 1974; I have several slides of the museum: huge panels of pictures taken of prisoners & uncountable bodies in trenches or ditches; defaced pictures (face) of Hitler visiting the camp. There were also innumerable people imprisoned because they were political prisoners, Catholics, gypsies or other "unwanteds." Went to Auschwitz; undoubtedly MORE disturbing than Dachau.
